Why would think its a good idea to ask the artist to stop working on new guns until the programmers is finish to work on the game mechanics? Or didn't you know there are different people and different teams with different skills and knowledge working on different aspects of the game?

Well, as far as i have experienced you rarely get stuck. I think that have happened to me twice during my 300hrs playtime. So that should not be a big problem:) But i agree with you that it would be nice if it did not happen. But then again i don't find it a problem either..

Same happens to me. But here is the thing: When i hit exit its because i want to exit the game so this is not a problem for me. In fact its even an improvement for me. Since i don't serverjump this bugs allow me to quit my game much faster then normally. Its brilliant:) I don't see how this bug is a problem for anyone else then people who are serverjumping, so hopefully this bug will stay around forever.

The best thing about DayZ is that is whatever you want it to be. Since there is no objective to the game its up to everyone to define what the game is by creating their own objective. DayZ provides everything from hardcore role playing to more straight forward PvP death match, and its up each and single one of us to decide what we want to do. This game might be a FPS for you, but its sure as hell not an FPS for me.

Hey. This sucks, but its still not the end of the world. The reason for this thread is because i want an answer to the following question: Can tents be stolen??? I think i read somewhere about that the tents themselves cannot be stolen, but i'm not sure about this one. Either it got stolen or my trusted official server with persistent on had an unscheduled wipe last night. This was the big military tent with 252 slots. There was also 10-12 backpacks on the floor inside it, and about 15 guns on the floor. I also had three backpacks in three different trees about 100-150 meters away from the tent with the most valuable items. All is gone. Even a empty backpack, a backpack full of beans and crappy rifles like the carbine and the blaze. Witch makes me to believe my tent didn't get stolen. I do not think someone could have found all of the three backpacks that was hidden, and i do not think they would take everything. It was just to much crap to steal and would not be worth the time. But again, if tent can be stolen, there is of course possible the thieves also found the rest of my stuff and took everything even though if i believe the chance for this is close to zero. So, can tents be stolen? Or was my stuff just deleted? Just want to say i made this thread to get an answer if my tent got stolen or deleted, and to warn other tents owner that there might be a chance to get tents deleted if this is the case. Thanks:)

sheds, cars, and almost everywhere you find industrial loot. Even found them i some types of houses. I find them everywhere, so i find it strange that you don't find them. Keep looking. They are there.

I have also broken my leg when... - i spawned on a rock, - i glitch through a wall and fell a floor down to the ground - i was climbing a latter - i was running - i was punched in my face Moral is: Always carry a splint because you never know when the DayZ God comes to break your leg for absolutely no logical reason what so ever.

You mean 16:9? I do not have 10:9, so i hope you mean 16:9..haha. Anyway, you think the main reason for your perfomance boost was changing the aspect ratio, or that you forced crossfire?

Have you tries logging out, and then in again? I got stuck once, but i got free when logged out and then back into the game. If that doesn't work you just have to wait till you die from starvation or dehydration. Luckily they will add a suicide function very soon, so in the future this will not be an issue:)

I don't agree with you about reducing the number of slots on the jerry can. It should be a bid sacrifice dragging a jerry can around. Inventory space must suffer big time. Though i do agree they could add smaller tanks, but they would of course carry less fuel. But this should not be a big issue anyway in the future. I guess they will add function to refuel our vehicles directly from the gas station. If we can use a gas pump to fill up our jerry cans, there is only logical that you could use the same gas pump to fill up our vehicles. Also i expect the inventory space in a big truck like the VS3 can carry a jerry can.. That goes for smaller vehicles like cars as well. So when that is in place there will be no need to carry around a jerry can in you backpack.

I have a base near green mountain and run over there almost on a daily basis. Never experienced anything strange at all..

Well, perhaps it easy, but it is very time consuming to make a full set. You need a lot of this burlap sack, and when i search for them to make a backpack i never find one. Can't imagine how many places you must search to find enough of them. Especially on servers where loot tables work properly. It may take a few hours to find everything you need. They are 1st person only. All you have to do is too play on a 1st person only server. When it comes to the part where you say it should hurt you vision. The vision is all ready obscured on 1st person servers only because the field of view is so much more narrow then in real life. And you would not put a bush in your face when using a ghillie in real life either. You use paint to camouflage the face, so it make no sense to punish players with even more limited vision then it all ready is. The punishment for not being able to carry a backpack is enough.

Haha, no. Chernarus is not basically Afghanistan. Its actually very different. Charnarus is based on Czech Republic, and that's a whole other country. In fact its not even on the same continent. People in Chech is not poor, some are of course, but in general they do ok.They sure as hell has nice buildings there. I was in Brno two weeks ago, and i can promise i would have instantly known if something was wrong if i somehow ended up in Afghanistan.

Its not a opinion. It about respecting the different style of gameplay. You don't look down on something because you don't like it. You accept it like a man. No, i do not like KoS merchants. But they do add something. They add a different kind of danger then any AI could do and they add unpredictability in human encounters. Wouldn't it be boring if everyone wanted to be your friend? You talk about skill.. What about the skill and judgement to avoid getting taken out of a player from distance? And if you really want it to be about skill, you don't remove the scopes. You add wind and bullet drop. Then sniping becomes a art:)
