Very much this. This is how it works IRL All of this, ntm I would give my first born a proper modeled archery system. Complete with fletching, shafts, tips, and tools to craft and repair. Bows can be anything from longbows and recurve, to crossbows. If none of this, then the weapons should be mostly improvised or region locked. It is Russia after all.

Should you only have one character per server?

After putting some thought into what OP is asking, I find it to be a rather elegant and temporary, if not permanent, fix to the server hopping issue. Lets say you: a. get a fresh character per server? No more server hopping. No ghosting. Same kind of community forming seen in DayzMod. b. are limited to having a total of 5 characters?(So you are limited to 5 different servers to play on) Probably a bad idea. c. get 5 respawns per say 12 hours? Brings more value to each individual character. d. regional hives?(US pacific, central and east for example) Limits server hopper's potential loot pool. Does not eliminate teleporting/ghosting. Anyone else have any ideas? -
In your mates case then, the 3PP solution works. As has been stated before with motion sickness, it is usually caused by incorrect FOV setting, motion blur, or refresh rates not syncing. If all of these factors are ruled out, then I would have to wonder how does the dev team plans to solve motion sickness. A lot of players use TrackIR in FPV just fine(myself included) and plan to switch to Occulus Rift when available and debugged. Occulus also has motion sickness inducing issues, but they are all mostly attributed to configuration settings or conditioning. With that said, I do hope that there is no catering to the minority of issues this early on in Dayz's development. This is provided that motion sickness is found to be a minor issue of course.

That is what I am hoping for. With this, you get a sense of never truly being safe, even after respawning. It won't be as simple as it is now, where you don't expect an M4 wielding bandit in Komarovo, because all the good gear is up north. Your butt puckers up because you don't know if around that next corner there is a wounded player from Zelenagorsk that has trekked all the way back to the coast to ensure they get a good meal and fresh blood in their veins. Life is harsh, nature is scary. DEAL WITH IT

Let people play how they want to. The bandit tears have been around since DayzMod was first released. What I'm still waiting for, is cannibalism to be implemented completely. I can already steal blood from my handcuffed meal, but what about using the rest of them? Beans aren't the only thing on the menu tonight!
