as other ppl said, watch the vids and decide yourself. there are "people" murdering other people in the game - whole game is built around it ;)

It is sooo weird, I played quite few hours, running around the coast on 30+ ppl servers, never had a problem. I usually run along the coast up to north part of the map, but never using roads - usually next to them or next to rail tracks.

I think everytime you eat a human flesh there should be dice roll - you have 2% change to become crazy. And when you are crazy you make weird sounds from time to time (not always but lets say once in few minutes - you growl, howl or sth else. So players can see that you are cannibal and take an action. I think it would be super scary - talk to this nice guy with an axe and then suddenly realize that he is considering eating you for lunch ;)

if you remove all the crazy bandits from the game I would stop playing as there would be no tension anymore. can you imagine that 95% of players would be nice to each other? hugs and kisses? come on. right now with all these psychos out there when I walk away from an encounter I feel GREAT! I cheated death once more, ha ha ha

I think you are wrong, my friend who I play with is the WORST sort of CoD - CoD maniac. And he absolutely loves DayZ, at least this is what he says. It doesnt deliver constant adrenaline rush, but when it does... WHOOOOA! shaking hands, yelling into mic, that sort of things ;)

1) you should expect tons of hackers at this stage. I wouldnt worry about it 2) no vehicles/bases yet, thats the first thing. you can play in 2 hrs chunks BUT... I think your expectations are a bit wrong - you dont achieve anything in DayZ. You just survive or die. eventually you can get some gear which you are gonna lose sooner or later. this game IS about dying, man. embrace it :)

There was huge influx of totally new players recently so I think it is the main cause of all that kos rcently - people are genuinely scared they will lose their gear. Once they learn it doesnt take THAT long to get fully geared again AND it doesnt really matter if you are geared or not - then people will learn ho to deal with new spawns without killing them, how to meet other players so both parties survive the meeting etc etc

get yourself a gun and start hunting guys who kill fresh spawns then! stop crying about bad world out there - change it! you have the power! :)

I agree that the game is about interactions with other players - you can kos for any reasons but then you are missing half the fun, turning DayZ into CoD.

Well, this is Great Disaster simulator - I think lots of people would behave EXACTLY like those morons with axes (except they wouldnt be so bold - they would probably stab you in the back instead charging with an axe).

well, simple solution: if someone shoots, everyone in 400m radius get logout timer. if he shoots again, guys who already have been marked are fine, new guys who just arrived get logout timer.

well, tbh it is your fault - you missed the shot and he took it personally. I would try to kill you too. If you want to change the world, start with yourself ;) Today on my way to work I had this thought: why people want guns in DayZ? The answer is: to kill other players. So I am gonna try to play without guns for a while ;)

Not sure if it isn't implemented already but it would be nice to be able to bind some commonly used phrases to a key - for some reason people dont understand what I am saying - bad connection? me talking too fast? etc. they would understand if I write, but I am not gonna write when there is an armed guy around.

I dont think you have been pushed - it happened to me too few days ago. I was on 1st floor, fully geared, came close to the window and zoomed in at nearby building. I felt down and died. I think it is bug in game implementation - zoom is basically changing player's position towards "look at" point. The engine thinks you moved out of the building and there is no floor underneath you, so you fell... and die ;) It could be worth trying to reproduce it - go up, stand by a window, look outside, zoom in... ...and die ;) -

I have a suggestion which should be fairly easy to implement. right now we have local talk we can use to communicate with players around us. would it be possible to let player use it up to few (10) seconds after their death? it would be like last words... "why oh why? I had a family to feed" of course there would be a lot of abuse, but it could be interesting too

today me and my friend were playing and went totally out of sync - he reported seeing me in one spot while i was 20 m away. It was fixed once we changed server.

option 1 - yes option2 - no Keep in mind that some players may not see red cross, they may see a TARGET ;)

In the case you are shot in the head you should be able to speak only for 3 secs ;)
