I just think the blood system needs to go...

IRL, you need alot more protein for your body to heal serious wounds. Means you need ALOT of food -
The game doesn't feel like a zombie apocalypse.
Space Milk replied to Zjasuu's topic in General Discussion
I 100% agree. I meant to say that atmosphere is a factor a very large one. But details are probably the single most powerful factor when it comes to immersion. It is why people like me love sci fi books and get so immersed to them as if it was real. DayZ IS immersive, but what the OP is saying that the atmosphere of the game itself, while contributing to immersion, does not really signal ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE instantly. -

Atmosphere is what keeps you immersed in the game and defines what universe, what world you are in right now in the game world. There many realistic games, especially ones for the army, but they don't have a immersive atmosphere because they are made for training marines, not getting them addicted to video games. -
handgun flashlight hold?

Bingo. -
handgun flashlight hold?

There are downsides to using this hold and other holds, look it up. You are practically holding the gun with one hand. -
handgun flashlight hold?

I made this suggestion already -_-, use the search bar. Its called the Harries technique BTW, call it by name, not "handgun hold" since there are many MANY holds for handguns/flashlight. EDIT: for those who did not see my thread, or know about these holds, you should know these holds apply for knives and daggers too. -

This place would look like detroit if there was a zombie apocalypse...Detroit is like this thanks to lack of order, education, and funding. No funding, no order, no education during the apocalypse, and especially not several years after. -
Freeside is from fallout??? Can't bethseda sue???

Those events are static not dynamic, you got the wording wrong.

EXACTLY NO ONE HERE understands what the OP is saying. It isn't because it is alpha, it is because of THE ATMOSPHERE. The atmosphere in this game is almost identical to the one in the mod. It's like right at your face... -

Space Milk replied to Zjasuu's topic in General Discussion
Adding more Zombies won't fix that feel. Zombies are so easy to be dealt with. They need to be lethal and dangerous, even for more geared up people, so much you should stay away from them all the time. Sadly it would never be like that because #toohardforfreshspawn and #makesgametoohard -
Fix the hunger and the thirst bars so U dont have to eat and drink after the bars are not showing up to be healthy
Space Milk replied to Gilkag's topic in Suggestions
Like the video shows, you might eat a apple and have some soda and chips, and you FEEL fine, but what you really need is alot more apples to get rid of free radicals, and a few chicken legs so you can grow and repair. Your body is a MACHINE, and machines get DAMAGED. Your body needs to REPAIR the damages by using MATERIALS or NUTRIENTS for the job. -

OP doesn't understand... There is a difference between being full, hungry, and not really knowing at all, or in the middle. If a person was starving for a while, and only ate until he was "ok" not starving but not full, he would NOT be healthy. Especially if you were injured. Those nutrients that you consume from food sources are used for your body, including healing. When you are hurt, your body uses up a biomolecule called protein MUCH faster in order to heal the wound. Does that mean that you would be fine as long as you stay borderline hungry? NO! Use some common sense OP, and maybe some of your biology knowledge. -
In the woods it would be dark as it is now. In the open after full dilation it wouldn't be like walking blindfolded.
-
Yes I made the argument before because it works.EDIT: Doesn't make sense to you because you never bothered to even try test my argument, which means any refute from yours is meaningless and should be disregarded. There is no valid non subjective reason I have seen on the forums that successfully argues against PVE, therefore, it should be added and not banned when DayZ is released.

How about lighting Molotov's, bombs, candles, torches (not flashlights), campfires, etc? Make them more for survival? Add a lighter too, rare and has limited use, but looks cool and easy to use.

Would be great in private hives. People saying no to this are like anti gay people LOL Just change keywords and yeah makes them look stupid It is a very real possibility in the future on private hives. Likely there might be a mod to this to disable player killing.
-
He never said they had silencers. You and the 2 poster cannot read. You automatically assume he is saying silencer for a melee weapon, when he didn't. OP isn't stupid.
-
Even with a suppressor the M4 would be no where near silent. You would need subsonic ammunition which is not in the game yet.
-
No it isn't. People are saying it is like pitch black. Apparently no one saying this has ever been in a micro light pollution or zero light pollution area during night. Your eyes dilate so much to adjust, that a match looks like a flare from 8 miles away.

This didn't answer my question ll? You haven't seen all my posts. -
I can't remember what mod I played but it had DayZ in it and was the most popular mod out there. Very fun, only problem was gaphics.
