That's actually a good idea Dmentman, handcuffing them would eliminate the risk of them attacking, then again as long as one is wearing a bike helmet, there's nothing to worry really.

A little far fetched, but what if you can't log into the same server of the course of 10 mins. An easy wait if you don't have malicious ideas. Remember, once you've played DayZ for more than a week, you patience is gonna be great!

I keep reading posts about how people can never find anybody to interact with. Honestly, I don't know where you all spawn, but in the lands of Solichiny, and Komyshovo (excuse my poor knowledge of the names, i dont speak russian) there are plenty of HILARIOUS people to speak with, and hang around... I actually have met more Bambi heroes, whom help me find food and water, than fully geared ones, of which I have only met one. Only twice actually have I had a Bambi try to kill me, an ambush, and then a brawl.

He's right, on the page, steam made it very clear that the game is Alpha, and that in buying it, you are helping find problems, so as to make it better for future players. Every time DayZ loads, there is a message thanking you, and explaining what you are to do. The game is far from done, and every single person here, is not some random player, we are all part of the developmental process, although there are hundreds of us, we are all useful in a different way, testing playing, and making the game better, till the day when it is finished... The final product won't just be because Rocket has been working their ass off to bring us a great game, but because us of the Alpha community believed that the game could be great, and made it great...

This brings up one of the other problems I have found with DayZ combat mechanics. When I struck him, and he fell, meaning he was unconscious, his character got back up, me, thinking somehow he had gotten back to consciousness, killed...Is this happening to everyone?

It hurts to know that is what I must do as of now...

Ok, first of all, don't any of you lie, cuz i've done some research, and I just want to check to make sure i'm right... I'm, trying to figure out which is a better weapon... Baseball bat, wrench, fire extinguisher, or shovel... Imagine this scenario, you are confronted by a bambi bearing a kitchen knife, he has made it clear, that neither of you are leaving, till the other is dead...Which of the above weapons do you pick to fight with?

Well my friends, it seems this topic is now doomed to close, i found three hatchets, so, my friend and i are fully capable of defending ourselves, except my friend SUCKS at zombie combat...

Really, should I really do that, it kinda feels wrong. I'm weird, I if I have better gear, I make it clear to my opponents that I'm not friendly, but otherwise I interact, and help people. Example, this guy, whom was 2x better than me gear-wise, needed help, knowing full well that I could get killed, I still helped the guy fight off a few zeds, in return, I got a friend, and a guardian whom helped my loot.

Thanks man, you obviously know what to do and how to do it, and it's obvious, Frankie either has serious hacks, sets up everything, or edits everything. I watched one of his Rust vids, and somehow he killed a dude whom ambushed him, and had an M4, and full Kevlar, while Frankie was naked with a handgun. If you play Rust, you would know, that's next to impossible to beat! Like orlok said I'll get back on topic. Thanks guys, I feel completely satisfied with what I did, and I will try to play the Bandit/Hero with my Friend. Medical assistance by day, and ambushes by night!

Lol, thanks for the tip, I didn't have a weapon, so maybe I should have sneaked away... What's wrong with RhinoCrunch, sure I'll never amass a squad of 5-10 fully geared soldiers, but my friend and I can go around helping Bambis, and slaughtering bandits XD Yes, I'll die A LOT, but it's worth it...

As of recently, I killed a player, whom was being quite racist, using my baseball bat. After about 7 hits, he fell unconscious, almost immediately starting to get up, so, I beat the crap out of him...Thanks to all of you, It narrows down to the wrench and bat, that is, till i find some axes...

Interesting, I guess I'll just keep my bat, and have my friend grab a wrench.

That's DayZ SA...It's Alpha, I was on a server with a friend of mine, we were the only two on, and partially geared... We meant to meet up a Chernaus, but, apparently when walking through a dirt road, you get insta-killed...

What if only heroes got some special skin? So you don't know if there neutral or bandits, but heroes are identifiable...
