Because I cant see a thing. The torch is bugged or badly done at present and so for me its not enjoyable to play with a black screen in front of me. Sorry but in what language do you want this? The gamma setting is in the game - In the game. Are hacks part of the game? Come on people, lets not lose all senses over this :) -

See my post again, "Legitimately" - meaning by legit ways, like adjusting FOV or Gamma. I mean by this that the option is offered by the game to all - like FOV or Gamma settings. -

Its not totally fixed but once again ... if everyone can do it - legitimately - then its not an exploit. -
Mosin: an awesome new loot spawn is there since last patch (seen 3 so far!):

A straight No! to the above. Ive had several time already been shot by M4/SKS/Mosin round at various distance (albeit quite far sometimes) and only went unconscious - a check of my gear on being back to life (after 1-2 minutes) and the evidence is there, Assault vest, Pristine clothes will help you survived some amount of damage - being healthy is another big factor for this.

Reduce object draw distance (google dayz optimization) and lower Object/Terrain details + texture filtering..

If you read the OP post fully he is looking a quicker way to get geared up - that way you say is about 3X times longer ;)

There is no bug. Its a performance thing. Every game has this built in - the LOD (level of detail) varies from object to objects, the FPS would drop dramatically if you started to load every grass object for 1000m. With that said, it would be sorted for when you "zoom" with a LRS for instance, not sure how difficult this would be to implement....

Due to LOD (Level of details) of objects. Dayz helps a little on that issue by sinking the player a bit onto the ground at distance but ideally? Learn to know which bushes/trees always render at distance (1000m at least) and hide behind those!

Since there is a lot of PVP and we can communicate to those players then it has to be a social experiment of sorts, of course. People telling you they act as they would in RL however are Pinocchios ...... ;) -
I feel Dayz once complete should be near enough that. Cant see what the screenies up there have to do with having no zombie, its just Dayz with a different look. If Dayz doesn't deliver however to the level some people expect then it will be time for modders to pick it up and make it that game you want.

+10 - Exactly my thinking now as well. I actually stay away from all that military gear. I do however like a Mosin/LRS combo and so Balota visit is usually on the card, not had to do it that often anyway but it does take about 2h - way and back. Gear wise, like the post above, its mostly civilian (black if possible) and improvised backpack - holds just enough for my needs. An assault vest might complete the lot if possible too for added protection.

AutoHotKey does the job for certain things like FOV and Autorun :)

Not an easter egg, its a statue - An easter egg would be something a lot more difficult to find. I have seen that statue already countless times in video and in game myself. Whats with the "modified files"? And that center cursor?
