Thanks!

How loud is the crossbow? Loud enough to give away your position? Any idea of what the range is? How are binocs? Sorry for all the questions, not able to play today.
-
Well, ran into my first hacker tonight. So obvious too.

Not to be rude, but if they had hacks that knew where you were how did you manage to hide from them? -
Does anyone have any idea of when the EXP servers restart? If it's any help I was playing on the US-1 80 man accelerated time Regular mode server and it reset at 9pm CST. Didn't play long enough to see the next restart (played for about an hour and a half).

Teaming up makes you immune to damage? No thanks. Not even Wasteland does that.
-
I didn't experience any. However I was north of the NWAF and not around any other players (that I know of) or large cities. I was on the 100 player server though and it was full to near full.

Update on new town: Just ran there on the new EXP build and it seems to be the same for now. -
Just played on the 100 person server they had set up: New mouse controls are awesome. Doesn't even feel like the same game. Makes the game feel like it's running smoother. Frames seem about the same as before. Wasn't really around other players or cities so couldn't really test all that well. Throwing things is a bit slow, but works. Don't know if this is a bug or on purpose, but zombies do not die from one hit from a fire axe anymore. I had to hit them in the head like the machete. Day/Night cycle is pretty cool, but the 40x they have set on the 100 person server is a bit too fast IMO. Not sure what benefit the "guaranteed updates" are giving but I had minimal inventory lag and no desync and the server was full with 100 people or near it.

Only been 10 minutes and already complaining. If this wasn't the DayZ forum I might be surprised :)
-
Server admins will be able to control how fast time moves. Faster day/night cycle.
-
A client update still means something has changed. Who knows what it entails on the server side.
-
There's people discussing it here right now: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/186509-new-experimental/ One person claims that their client for EXP is updating ATM.

Just noticed this as well. Did those servers have those "Springfield" and "Durango" descriptions on them prior to the maintenance period?
-
Does anyone have any insight on this: I just checked the server browser and all 4 of the DE EXP servers have the words Accel. Time / "Springfield" or "Durango" in the title and under time it says "etm24.00000" Has this been like this for long or is it new. I haven't messed with the EXP servers for like a week now.
-
I think they are waiting to make headway on that whole "guaranteed messaging" thing they've been talking about before anything persistent can be introduced to the game.
-
Can't wait to hunt for people's stashes, and also be paranoid someone is coming for mine.
-
It's a weird time for EXP right now I think. Until the big update comes I think they have just been testing loot fixes and accelerated time. According to people of the forum there is Iron Sight zoom on EXP right now, but besides that we're all just waiting for the update.

Yeah that new village is already up there. There really isn't much as far as loot buildings right now and for some reason the frames are terrible. Could be the start of something bigger though? -
Nice shooting man. Can I ask how long it took to get all that footage?

You're a victim of your own lack of patience. Also when you speak in nothing but superlatives it makes you sound rather in-eloquent. Sad fact for you Neko: The complainers like you are outnumbered by far on this board by people who are willing to wait it out and see if this thing works out. If you want to toss about like chicken little, that's your choice, but you'll likely find no support from us. -

It's just a bad time right now for these boards due to the lack of a recent update. I think once the survival patch goes live there will be more constructive conversation. As far as the people saying it's torture to wait to see if they wasted their money, I only have one question: Is it really that worth it to put yourself through that much anger over such a small amount? It costs more to take two people to the movies, or paying the months gas bill. I took it as a gamble, and the price will be low if Bohemia pulls this game off. If they don't, it's on us for paying early. Which is a debatable topic, but what's done is done. -

And you're too hyperbolic to take seriously. I don't really care what the early mod was like. Build a time machine and go be happy. -

With so much exaggeration it's hard to take OP seriously.
