I thought the people swearing that the SSD made the game work better were full of it. I went ahead and tried it and have to say they are completely right. Frames are still the same, but the game feels different. I don't notice the frame dips as much when going into or near cities.

Anyone else hide weapons to prevent others from looting them?

I hide weapons in the no-loot houses. Maybe someone new who searches everything has found one of them. Never know. -
Is anyone else experiencing desync issues on stable? It could easily be my connection right now, but I was wondering how things have been going for others on stable.

Yeah they restart. They don't do it like the ones on stable with the full yellow chain. They just kick you off with a "session lost" message.

Played for almost 4 hours on EXP. Observations: - No lag/desync for me at all. Dropped gear appeared instantly. The only hiccup I had was some slots in my inventory could not be occupied like something was there and could not get it to appear. Fixed on login/restart. - Frames are up for me. Didn't get noticibly low frames anywhere. Never went to any big cities though. - Mouse movement has improved greatly, at least for me. Upon spawning I ran to the ship, there was a guy running out onto the back deck, and I managed to sprint up on him and knock him out. I'm usually pretty bad at this due to really slow mouse movement. No problem this time. - Zombies are still a bit derpy, but they are fast and kind of scary now. I like it. - I've noticed there are a few more places that used to spawn loot, but don't now. This might be from when .42 was originally put on EXP, but I didn't play it much then. - On a 40/40 server I was able to loot the entire NWAF and Vybor military base and see nobody? Weird. Also I didn't find a single M4. I have pristine Magpul attachements and a pristine Acog for one in my bag that I found looting all that, but no gun to put them on. I'm pretty impressed on how fluid it was. I thought it would take them longer to get it in this condition. I think if this patch gets put to stable branch without issue people are going to have a really good time with this patch.

Yes I do. I'd rather them work hard to fix the patch like they did today. Experimental works great right now and it might get loaded onto stable tomorrow making the whole point moot.

I think for all the needless rage they take on these boards for taking too long. Can you imagine the crap people would flood this forum with if this project starting moving backwards (literally). It's best to live with the bad for the sake of progress.

Really happy to get home from work and see some positive things in this thread. I was going to wait but I think I'll hop on EXP and see how it runs for me.

When something you open disappears like that move some of your other items around into the slots next to where it should have appeared. It's been happening randomly since the alpha started. Always works for me.

Hardcore also worked well for me earlier. Don't know if it's the hive or that specific server.

Check Hick's twitter post in the Dev Tracker. They didn't take the option out. They removed the "force feed" button because there is already a "force drink" button, thus making a feeding button redundant. Do some basic research before making baseless complaints.

Hopefully persistent storage will come soon as well. I think that will give people good reason to stick with one or two servers instead of hopping all over the damn place. I'm probably wrong on that one though. -

There is an entire art team dedicated to making new items and models. They have nothing to do with coding, and thus cannot be held accountable for the other bugs in the game. I doubt they will stop doing their jobs just to appease your complaining. -

There is no confirmation of an update. They will be taking down stable branch for maintenance. Hopefully there is some kind of update, but I wouldn't bank on it. -

Just played on a US experimental server for a bit. I never got a session lost. However it sat at "Please Wait" for a very long time and when I finally got into the server there was a clone of myself staring at me. Sat there for about 15 minutes and it never left. Will try logging back in after a bit and reporting the results. -

I had seen a few people in this thread mention they thought the wall-clipping in buildings was fixed. Does anyone have a confirmation on this or was it just talk? I would be very impressed if they managed to get the 42 patch out and solve that problem.
