False hope.

Police stations at airports and other random locations. Always something good.

I think a permanent blood type for every player would be good. This would make blood bags more relevant, which will be needed if (i hope when) Saline will be nerfed. Sure, you can be stuck with a not so usefull one, but thats what happens in real life. I say Saline bags should give you the ''Healthy'' state for about 30 minutes, so you can regen blood faster.

Don't need farts, but an option to burp really loud would be cool. Especially when they add a megaphone. Have to do it myself in direct chat for now.

So, I MIGHT have combat logged....and something very confusing...
Greaves replied to crazykage's topic in General Discussion
Might have been lag. If you started having a lagspike just after you heard the shots, you wouldn't have seen anything of what happened. You might have been shot, and if you logged out before the lagspike was over, you have no clue. -
I've found several Press vests, most of them in Rify.

Locate your friend in your Steam friends list, right click on him, and select ''Join game''. Bam, you're in his server.

I try to stalk some guys, to see how they behave. If they're douchebags, i shoot them, otherwise i leave them alone. I suck at following sometimes though. I once saw a guy on the sniper hill at Elektro, who turned around and ran over the tree covered hill, in the general direction of Berezino. I ran uphill to try and follow him, but once i reached the top, he was nowhere to be seen. I searched the forest for a while, but never found him.

I help people all the time. Have only been crossed once, and that guy paid with his life.

For those complaining about development pace
Greaves replied to Mdogg2005's topic in General Discussion
Another example is the Dragon Age franchise. DA: Origins was developed in around 5 years, and is the best game i ever played, but because it sold so well, Dragon Age 2 was rushed. Development time: 1 year. It turned out to be an utter dissapointment for the original Dragon Age fans. Bioware is now taking a bit more time (couple of years more actually) with DA3. I say: the longer i need to wait, the better. Let them take their sweet time, creating an awesome game. Same with DayZ. -
How many people do you kill in a life on average?
Greaves replied to Mays (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
I've only been killed by another player once. Since then, i got 4 kills. 2 bandits in a firefight in Cherno, 1 idiot in Berezino who wanted to kill me with a crowbar after trying to gain my trust, 1 guy who came at me with an axe in the shipwreck. I'd say how many people you helped in a single lifetime is a better stat. I'm at around 7 at the moment. -
Thanks for that spoiler, i'm at ep. 4 Season 1. Now i don't know if i can come back to this thread, people might troll me with other spoilers.

Please don't mention anything other than the master race that is the PC. Na i'ts ok :P Yes, i think a lot more people would buy it too. That would give the devs more money. Devs with more money may be more motivation for extra stuff.

First episode of the Walking Dead. If you sneak into the house, zombies won't know you're there. It's not like he makes a lot of noise. Besides, it's one of the remote houses. Not many zombies around.
-
Seeing zombie bodies disappear is more immersion breaking than the rest of these, but if i had to choose, combat logging.
-
I just assume that when i log off, my character finds an empty house, (maybe a regular one where he stores his books), barricades the doors and sleeps and reads books. When i log on, he'll be at the place where i left him, ready to get more food and stuff. People wouldn't just fall down where they are in the middle of a field, and fall asleep to be munched on by zombies. They find shelter.
-
I don't really get WHY you wan't so many people in night time servers though. Wouldn't most people be asleep IRL? And than there's the people who simply don't risk getting munched on by a zombie in the dark. Sure, some people might be roaming around, but that would be as many as there are in the servers at the moment. So you already have realism, basically.
-
Legs get broken cause of bugs, 9/10 times. Maybe thats why they allow them to be fixed when relogging for now.
-
That would depend on where the hinges are. Door can't open to the inside when the hinges are on the outside. But most houses IRL have them on the inside, so that doesn't really make sense in game.
-
If i loot a coast house because i'm running out of food, and i find stuff like a backpack inside (which i already have), i close the doors after leaving. That way newspawns will still loot the place and find the usefull stuff i didn't touch. OT: I vote random.

Mosin or M4? Consider upcoming changes to game
Greaves replied to unicornsmustdie's topic in General Discussion
I love my scoped Mosin - Magnum combination. If i get cornered, the Magnum works just fine, and i use the Mosin for the rest. It will be fine for hunting, too. Even if they add more guns, i'll probably stick to this combo. Maybe i'll swap the Magnum for a silenced pistol, we'll see. -
The amount of people up north is TOO DAMN LOW.
Greaves replied to [email protected]'s topic in General Discussion
I spawned there once, actually. People spawn all over the coast line, both South and East. Just not North-West On topic: The last time i went to the NWA i got shot in the leg with a pistol. I didnt find the shooter, but bandaged myself and legged it out of there (which was quite unrealistic, considering my leg wound) to circle around. When i had vision of the airfield again, i saw 3 guys with M4's (so not the ones who shot me) running into the airfield. Maybe it was simply random ''luck'', but i've found the NWA quite crouded. -
I love nighttime when the moon is not behind clouds, and sheds some light on everything. Just enough to see where you're going, and dark shapes of other players. I think i actually prefer it over daytime. But when the moon is gone, and everything is literally pitch black, no thanks. I wouldn't go outside in such nights in a zombie apocalypse in real life, so why should i in game?

I usually cycle between giving new players half my stuff, and holding up and/or killing guys with firearms (depending on their previous actions). I've not gotten bored yet.
