Still haven't found a server that meets most or all of our expectations.

Is it possible in .53 now? Been looking around everywhere and haven't found an answer.

Me and a friend are looking for a server to get on and stay on without the constant looking for a new one. The server type we'd want to play on has a day/night cycle, persistence off, 4+ hour restart (hopefully with "restart in x" warnings but not a big deal there) and max players 30. If anybody knows of any servers like this please let me know. It seems really hard to search through servers for us, there's so many that don't give details of what the server does.

Not sure if this has been addressed but SLI for Nvidia isn't working, guessing crossfire for AMD isn't either.

Would help if you told us your GPU as well, considering that's a vital part of gaming. And maybe how much RAM you have.

I'm happy with every type of loot being pretty much everywhere. If the CoD kiddies that suck at CoD think this is strictly a pvp game and want to camp the coast, all the better. I've had nothing but good experiences up north, so far everybody has been friendly and not a complete douchebag that kills on sight.

Only thing wrong here, is that Sniper Rifles are usually bolt action. Battle rifles and DMRs are essentially the same thing, except DMRs usually have medium/long range scopes on them whereas Battle Rifles are iron sights or reflex sights.

Wow I thought this community was better than this, but okay, whatever. It seems to of changed drastically since the SA came out and most people are acting like selfish CoD kiddies that just KOS in the game. I'll avoid posting things relevant to the game and be like most other people and be a douchebag from now on.

Well in the course of the last 3 days, I've been killed by 8 hackers. All teleporting to me and then killing me. Only one time was actually just after fresh spawning, every other time I had a full kit or nearly complete. Makes me sad that so many people have to cheat just to kill people in a survival game but whatever. Funny thing is, I never even had a single issue of dealing with a hacker in the mod, and I started playing that back around patch 1.5.8.

Hello there folks, I've got an interesting experience to share with you. Yesterday, my 2nd day of playing DayZ SA (I've been playing the mod since patch 1.5.8), was probably my most exciting play of DayZ yet. Started out that I found the new town north of Balota and began checking it out, only to have 2 servers go down on me, then on the third one a hacker teleported to me (or something) and magically knew my name, then proceeded to kill me after saying his name was "Hacker22." So I respawn on a different server, start checking houses and whatnot, zombie hits me because I don't have any weapons yet so I start bleeding, which you can apparently bleed for quite a while. So after about 5-10 minutes of running around hoping to find bandages, I come across a guy and say, "Hey man how's it going? I'm just dying here." And continue on my way. Then suddenly I hear him faintly say, "Hey I can bandage you, if you want." And I'm just thinking, wow there actually ARE some good guys still around. He proceeds to bandage me and I offer him what little I have, he refuses and we go our seperate ways. Then I head up to the ATC tower in Balota, and some guy almost literally scares the crap out of me when he sneaks up on me. We exchange a few words and go our seperate ways, but the whole time we're talking and I see him moving around, he's practically teleporting around and somehow went from the ATC tower to the 2nd hangar from it in a split second, hacker maybe? I really don't know. So I head across the landing pad to what looks like military barracks, check the far west one, come out, and see a guy running. All I've got is a crowbar, so I put it on my back and just stand there, and say, "Hey how's it going?" He walks up to me and kills me of course. So I ask him as I'm dead on the ground, "So what kind of amazing loot did you get from killing a guy with a crowbar? OHH right, NOTHING!" All he has to say is, "Sorry man, I had to, KOS and all." I don't think I'll ever understand why people are like that, but whatever. So I switch servers again, manage to get a night server, (I love night in DayZ) respawn, loot through Kamenka, run east to Balota, and this is where the craziest thing that's happened to me yet begins. I get to the military camp and see a flashlight spazzing around everywhere. So of course I know there's a guy over there looting. I go prone and get fairly close and say, "Hey nice flashlight skills guy, you're going to get yourself killed doing that, ya know?" He proceeds to crouch out of the tent and start looking around, and he pulls out a... FIRE EXTINGUISHER! Then begins slowly searching around for me. At this point I have no idea what to think because I'm laughing so hard. He apparently doesn't have a mic because he's not replying to anything I say of course. So I simply tell him, "I'm not here to hurt you buddy, put the fire extinguisher away, I don't want to die that way." But he's still looking around for me, apparently he can't see worth a damn because he was using a flashlight in the first place, but I figured I might as well get up and show him I'm not a threat. Apparently he never saw me even though I was standing right in front of him at one point. After that I think he switched servers or something because I was free to loot the military camp at my own leisure. Although, the whole time I was worried I would soon be hit in the back of the head with a fire extinguisher, of all things... Okay so that's maybe not super crazy but me and my friends all thought it was funny. Thanks for reading.

I just got the standalone yesterday, have played for about 3 hours now and I've seen maybe 6 or 7 zombies. What's up with this? I went around looting balota without encountering even a single zombie anywhere!

Where'd this server go? Me and friends had just started to set up a camp and then it just went offline and hasn't come back up since.

How exactly were the loot system timers updated? How long between new loot spawns and such now? Do you have to be further than 120m for new items to spawn now or is that still the same?

Me and a couple buddies started playing DayZ again a couple days ago, found a nice public hive server (US 2705) to start playing on again and it was going really well. Found new loot, learned about crafting, about how you can finally switch between an axe and main weapon without putting one away, and many other things. Ended up managing to find a nice truck that only needed slight repairs by cherno and started driving that around, found out that the bug where if you drive up to a city or something and no loot spawns is still active... Looted Cherno for a while, accidentally axed my friend in the face and had to get all his gear back, then parked the truck in a discrete location and logged for the night. Came back and the truck was still there today when we started playing again, going around collecting vehicle parts, food, etc., and noticed the admin of the server and two other guys were constantly dying/getting kicked by BattlEye, at the time we made nothing of it. Then when we were on a trip back from Berizino heading to Cherno, we just got around the Elektro mountain and noticed there were two plumes of smoke, like downed choppers, and we thought, "holy crap, never seen downed choppers this close to Elektro before!" So we proceed to check them out and as it turns out, they weren't downed choppers at all, they were crashed AIRPLANES... At that point we were putting the pieces together and realized the admin of the server was spawning in vehicles for him and his friends, on a PUBLIC HIVE server... Never the less, we still proceeded to stay on that server as we loved our truck deeply and hadn't had a multi-passenger vehicle capable of carrying gear before. Then as we were heading through Elektro, up to the factory south of Berizino to look for car parts, we noticed another plume of smoke, this time on the eastern fire station, we figured the admin was still screwing around and continued through unfortunately... As we were almost all the way through Elektro we heard an explosion, and noticed 2 or 3 guys all in ghillie suits in some makeshift target practice area that isn't normally in Elektro. We panicked and I started to turn the truck around away from them. but by then it was too late and we started taking a ton of DMR shots, they shot one guy out of the back of our truck, I proceeded to get kicked from the server, and the third guy managed to abort before he got hit. Now we all know that these guys died multiple times on the server, along with the admin spawning in gear for them as well as the airplanes, what I don't understand is, are admins normally this abusive now? Can they just spawn in a ton of gear for them/their friends and then server hop and go around killing people, and then switch back to their server and get gear again if they die? I hadn't realized the mod has gotten this bad in the time we weren't playing it. So now I guess we're going to look for another server to play on, we're not sure if we want to stay playing on the public hive anymore though with this crap going on... Also, I'd recommend avoiding the server "US 2705" unless you want to hunt guys like that.
