In true day-z fashion the devs will overlook what would likely be there and put what they want in (i.e. m4's all over in sa but no ak's...). And I was thinking those Western style vehicles would be an advent of what likely would have been left behind from western military's who would have been mobilized to the general Chernarus area in the early stages of the zombie apocalypse for zombie put down or more nefarious reasons... and yeah I may play a little too much epoch mod lol.

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?

I came across a possible cheat the other day... killed someone and looted the body and they had an ammo box with millions of 5.56 rounds in one slot. And apparently some people I've been playing with have come across others as well (like infinite mags - apparently with that mag equipped you could just keep firing and never reload). We think one of them was killed by a wall hack when we were hiding in a building... although not a hundred percent sure on it. The one guy got sniped out of nowhere while standing in a stair well (I was below by the door, and another guy was in the window behind him so there is a possibility he just was too high on the stairs and was seen from the hospital in lower berez). -
A modern military hummer would make more sense. Not something produced around world war 2 era. A Toyota Hilux/Tacoma and an Chevrolet Suburban (type suburban)... and a hello kitty mini...

Ear plugs for firing guns or else you get a loud ringing in your ears

There are ways to hold your head when firing a gun that drastically reduce the likelihood of causing ear ringing. -
I think they will include snow, where they have snow camo hunter pants.

Not so much the last part. We have at least 9 of us and 2 or 3 more (at least) who will join once vehicles and bases/storage are in... Would rather be on our own server, because believe it or not, 9-12 clan mates working together - even though we generally play bandit hunters/heros - is probably not what most admins want on their server. Was mostly thinking ahead, with prices as they are and such limited server options I don't want one now. But when the game is closer to finished I would much rather be investing time in a server and building bases/whatever on a server where me or my clan mates have no risk of being banned after 100 hours or so of looting/building because one of us shot a badmin or something stupid and lose all of that time. Farming is mostly a by product of trying to seed a server, we tried to jump start a pub in bf4... it wrecked my stats (kpm, accuracy) but I ended up leveling ridiculously fast because EA/Dice gave out crap options for seeding (240 sec maximum idle time...). Although none of what I'm saying matters anyway, I'm sure you are already certain that my plan is to lock the server, farm the crap out of it, then raid other servers anyway... ;)

Arma 2 and 3 are both very close to 1$ a slot... dayz sa is double that. Kinda makes me think the full release servers will be even more.I'd get $2 a slot if I got any sort of real server options, but not this way.

Why is it so expensive (server prices). It's a little over $2 a slot, I would love to buy a server and set it up (as would most of my bf4 clan) but not for 68$ a month from a company out of Europe with a nearly un-navigable website. Does anyone know if/when server prices won't be so ridiculous? editing my math... clearly "very nearly $2 a slot" would be less than/equal to 60... and now I'm very aware that it's time for me to actually sleep... D@^^^^!T Day-Z.

PTSD is not at all like the OP thinks it is. When you get ptsd you are generally just reserved, and quiet, occasionally you are overcome with grief/depression and for me it was mostly when I was extremely inebriated. With PTSD you are a thousand times more likely to sit in your room with no motivation and break down crying than you are to get the shakes and go 'insane'. Since we all missed the last zombie apocalypse we don't really know what it's going to be like... or would be like. IMO people (as a whole) aren't as likely to be working together, they're going to do what's necessary to protect themselves and only the ones they care about, even if that means turning away that family who was looking for food for their two small children. The ability of a human to survive is incredible and there have been a lot of people who have resorted to canibalism in history in order to survive, they weren't necessarily psychopaths or anything, they were just unwilling to be defeated by whatever hardship was before them. As far as KoS... in a real life zombie apocalypse you'd probably run into that once... but you'd do it till you died. I'm ok with it, my goal in dayz is to be a shadow. If that means never going to cherno or elektro because it's a stupid risk then I'm ok with it. But in reality a zombie apocalypse is retarded anyway because society would easily contain and destroy it (think nuke...). I've never been kos'ed in dayz... so I don't see it as, as much of a problem as things like glitching through walls on upper stories and falling to your death randomly. I say KOS should be a server admin controlled punishment system (and by that I mean server admins should have control over rather their server implements a punish system or not).

- malice clips so you can wear a backpack and attach another smaller backpack to the back of that one or make it so you can put one on your back and one over your chest with movement penalties or increased thirst/hunger frequency. Malice clips would also allow for items to be attached to my backpack or my vest (like strapping an ammo can on the outside of the backpack instead of it taking up space inside). -molle straps and molle pouches would be great for backpacks and chest rigs, ballistic harnesses and increasing storage slots. So I could have a vest and fill all the pockets with things and attach say a molle magazine pouch to give me several extra slots for my m4 magazines. - a drop leg/hip holster would be awesome. No reason a pistol would be inside my backpack in a shtf situation like zombie apocalypse. and it would save me some about 6 slots (4 for pistol and 2 for spare mag) - I know its coming but storage... and bases can't get here quick nuff, I can only keep resupplying myself so many times - tactical recon items: spotting scopes for long range surveillance, rangefinders, helmet mounted flashlights - customize-able weapons - not high on the list, but I mean like more parts, as in longer barrels, better butt stocks (thinking Magpul UBR), angled foregrips, stubbies... also I haven't ever found an 8x scope, but putting one on an m4 should be an option (i've been told it doesn't work) because I use a 6-24 zoom on my irl AR and it works great. - multiple weapons on shoulders - my character is not an amputee yet, so I don't know why I can't sling one rifle over one shoulder and another over the other shoulder... or find a one point sling for my m4 and have it hanging on my side and my mosin slung across my back... which would keep my hands free. - I didn't play the mod so I don't know if there are snow levels, but a snow level would be amazing, would also be a great limiter for vehicles if it were to snow and vehicles would have problems with getting stuck or sliding out (rain and mud could also cause this problem) a weather element to game play that forced me to seek shelter/warmth over running all night/day and never worrying about hot or cold would be really cool in general. On that note, a need for sleep once in a while, not hours of it, but you could make it so I have to find shelter and be in a sleeping bag/bed when I leave a server to recuperate, which could be a solution to combat logging/server loot hopping... - I dunno, just work faster this game is a lot of fun. also whoever said duct taping an acog onto a 357 magnum that's absurd (your duct taping knives to guns idea is solid though). Duct taping a rifle optic to a pistol would be impossibly inaccurate. A scope is mounted to a rifle via a rail such as the one milled on an m4 receiver, or holes drilled into a bolt action receiver and a rail mount screwed into those holes. The recoil of even a .357 magnum would result in knicks all over the barrel and damage to the optic because of the insecure (specifically, loose) manner that it was mounted and your shot placement and scope zero would never be the same (meaning the chevron in your acog would not be where the bullet would hit because it isn't stable at all). You would also be unable to reload the revolver without removing the duct tape each time as the duct tape would cover some important parts that need to swing off the barrel to allow the cylinder to swing free of the action. I could maybe get behind them adding a welding feature to the game so you could weld things together to make weapons or enhance/fix/break weapons, but duct tapes and the major (specifically the metal components of weapons don't mix too well).
