Like I said in your other thread, only problem I see with this is the ease of exploiting it to kill many zombies in a building. They all nicely line up and walk slowly. It's not a game breaking exploit, just something to consider.

Zomibes aren't ghosts that is all.
bad_mojo (DayZ) replied to Slyguy65's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Yeah, Rocket knows they need to be fixed from walking through walls. LOL @ you justifying your disconnecting. Don't be such a coward, take what comes to you, die and try again. I've never disconnected to avoid dire consequences. -
Zombies Don't Break Legs. They Bruise.
bad_mojo (DayZ) replied to hawkygaming's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
How about every zombie drops morphine!!! OMG!! Seriously tho, just go find some morphine when you spawn. It's like bullets, bandages, and beans, you won't last long without it. -
I don't like the ghost stuff. And the bullet penetration is true, but would be very exploitable for killing lots of zombies with few bullets. But, If their walking indoors was fixed I wouldn't mind it.

Item additions to allow for better creative gameplay variety and learning curve.
bad_mojo (DayZ) replied to 7-75 callaghan's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Split this into multiple threads next time with a descriptive title. I can't be bothered posting in every one of these huge walls of text that contain about 20 mini suggestions and re-suggestions. -
A couple things that really need to change
bad_mojo (DayZ) replied to snared04drummer's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
People don't say it's been complained about over and over because they don't want you to complain about it, rather we want you to do it in the proper thread. If Rocket has to read through multiple threads about the same thing, guess what he'll do? Pick the one with the most replies/views. So if you want your feedback to be heard by the right people, it's advisable to post it where they'll look. Also, Rocket has said multiple times that he is trying to make an anti-game. His goal isn't for players to have fun. So when you start a post with "game is just that, a game. And the purpose of that game should be fun first." most of the people who are really into this game will roll their eyes and stop reading. They'll tell you there are plenty of games out there to make the player have fun, go play one of those. Let us have this one. The only suggestion I agree with that you posted was the blood regenerating over time. I agree that's how the human body works. Although there are a lot of details. For example, right now food gives the player blood instantly. This should be removed and blood regen should only happen when not hungry or thirsty. Also, the human body can't regenerate blood after a drastic loss of blood. So if the players blood level went below a set number, they should only be able to regain blood by transfusion. I would like this level to be around the level where you start passing out. -
Let Rocket and the other DEVs focus on real issues.

Agreed about not spawning them at the air fields.

This is a programmed trait of the zombies. I forget where I saw this, but I think it was in one of Rockets posts. They're designed to go towards the player sometimes. It's annoying, which is exactly why I like it.

Idea: Replace Broken Leg/Morphine with Infected Bite/Antibiotics
bad_mojo (DayZ) replied to Darston's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I like the broken bone happening when a zed hits you. Perhaps it could be tweaked to happen at a lower blood level, it was raised in the latest update after all, so it's a work in progress. What I dislike about your suggestion is it adds another videogame'y aspect. While this might sound good on paper, it's counter-intuitive. Its not going to make a player avoid combat with the zombies as much as broken bones do currently. If you can just run and get your anti-biotics or wait until the zombies are dead to get them out of your back pack and use them, it's basically a bandage for (i'm assuming) a slower bleed rate. In my eyes, the fact that so many people are complaining about the broken bones just goes to show that they're accomplishing their goal. When you get messed up in a game, you should feel that discomfort. Seeing my blood level go down from 12000 doesn't cause me discomfort. Having to find anti-biotics is nothing more than a slight annoyance. DayZ needs more tactile feedback, less HUD, more intuitive effects. Things you can feel, things that make you angry/mad/upset/sad. Removing one of the only unique aspects of DayZ/Arma to add another number based health drain system isn't going in the right direction in my opinion. Perhaps adding the ability to catch a cold/disease when struck by zombies on top of the already present broken bone/bleeding mechanics could be something I could get behind. -
This has been suggested/complained about a million times already. Nothing to see here.

I have my doubts about a stinky person attracting more bugs than a freshly showered one. In some cases the scents from our hygiene products can actually draw in bugs & animals. But, I disagree we should be punishing the bandits who want to sit in one place and wait for people to shoot. I want the common areas to be watched, I want the good loot spawns to be camped. I want that risk. I don't want to live forever because I'm good at spotting movement.
-
This is a good idea, surprised it isn't already in place.

You basically just threw down a large wall of text consisting of the most popular suggestions/complaints about the game. The discussions you seek are elsewhere in this forum. I'm not going to waste my time responding with the same things over and over every time someone makes one of these "didn't search, but here's my random thoughts on what sucks about dayz" threads. I suggest next time you focus on one change you want, it'll get you better results. When you list about 20 things you want changed, people are only going to focus on the one they dislike or like the most, and aren't even going to give a second thought to the rest.

Could you reconsider having global chat? My argument inside.
bad_mojo (DayZ) replied to vgtg's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Another server option? No thanks, it's already hard enough for me to find a server with expert settings, this would only give me less options. Also, global changes the way players play this game, and I think the benefits of not having it outweigh the positives of having it. -
I'd love to see this in-game. I would risk everything to try and be a passenger on one of these. Parachutes would be a cool addition as well, but it should replace your backpack so people are at a disadvantage while doing it.

[Splint] Second option to fix your broken leg.
bad_mojo (DayZ) replied to Pipinhot's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
A zombie breaking your leg in a couple hits is more realistic than fixing a broken leg with morphine instantly. It's a game mechanic, I don't think we need to turn the morphine into a splint, as it would make fixing a broken limb even more easy than it already is. For the people crying about having a broken leg and having to crawl to a hospital, morphine is an important thing to have on you at all times in this game. Do you guys also wait until you are bleeding to get bandages? Or wait until zombies are chasing you before you find a weapon? Point being, your lack of preparation is no basis for making broken limbs easier to fix. -
Whenever you end a suggestion post with "...I'm not sure what can be done about it..." just don't post it in here. Post it in general discussion. This is a complaint, not a suggestion.

-Post in one of the other MANY topics about this nonsense. -Don't jump off anything in ARMA. -Stay clear of opening doors/gates/etc.

Broken leg, bleeding and KO in 1 hit at 12k blood needs to go.
bad_mojo (DayZ) replied to ElemenoP's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Until the zombies can grab you and eat your face, I'll take the broken legs and passing out from a "slap". I do everything in my power to avoid letting a zombie get close enough to touch me. Not to mention someone infected with a virus that makes them rage and attack people until they're dead could most likely break your leg with a couple hits. They might fracture their own bones in the process, but they don't care about their own well being, just your tasty brains. Some people posting here need to step back and realize what game they're playing. -
A way to keep vehicles between servers
bad_mojo (DayZ) replied to Jordash's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
So.. what happens when a large clan gets a crap load of vehicles onto one server? Lag? Crashes? Also, servers with low population would be farmed for all the vehicles and then they would be taken back to the clans home server. And finally, how easy would it be to repair a vehicle when you can carry it around in your back pack? Vehicle system is better the way they it is now. -

Doesn't the clothing we pick up change the character model? Pretty sure you can't change clothes in arma2, they boast about the ability in the videos for arma3, so I assume it's an engine limitation. Camo clothes, the girl and ghillie suit are cool, but I don't like how the rest of us look similar.

Dayz needs a pump action shotgun

It has a built in flash light too.
