-Proper ballistics -Open world -Long view distances -Dynamic weather -Good lighting -Realistic damage model -Editor -Support for mods -Constant updates -Real looking maps -DayZ just a couple things off the top of my head. -
I've been sniped at lots in this game, you hear the bullet impact way before you hear the shot, especially at longer ranges.... so if he 1 shot you with the as50 or m107 or headshotted you with anything, you wouldn't hear a thing.

For a public service announcement, you sure as fuck talk about yourself a lot. To be clear, since the tone of my last post must have went over your head. I don't care about you back stabbing people, I don't care about losing my gear, I don't care about dying at the hand of a player. You role play the part of a dickhead backstabber, I role play the part of the naive friendly. I don't call you an ass and a dickhead because I don't like what you do, I call you that because it's the truth. A lot of people would be ashamed to admit they back stab other players, here you are bragging about it and calling it "a warning to new players". -
The big military building has an overhanging roof part, similar to a garage, military loot spawns in there. But, I've found sometimes it spawns under the ground, so walk around in first person aiming at the ground, you might find some invisible loot.

Your Public Service Announcement here comes across like a gloat/troll thread, looking for peoples reactions. Kill me, I call friendly and turn my back all the time, I'll even offer you a weapon to do it if you're lacking. It's your decision to be an ass. -

Do it, don't do it, to me it doesn't matter. But, what's the point? The newest version isn't going to mean 0 bugs, so duping will still happen. And looking beyond that, what's the problem with people being geared up? It's not like good gear is hard to find. I can gear myself up with military grade weapon in under an hour....so what's the point? You'll just piss off some people for little to no benefit. -
The helicopter spawns on the island :D might be tuff finding the parts to fix it tho

Try to get completely geared up without using any weapon. I did this a couple weeks ago, carried a flashlight and a primary weapon on my back, but never actually used the primary, it was my gift for the next person that I ran into. Some dude with no gear was sure pleased when I rode up on a bicycle in Kemeka and threw down an m4sd & ammo and then rode away into the sunset. -

Make the hide animation a lot longer. In reality it takes a long time to dig a grave big enough for a body. Edit: Oh shit, how about this... you can only hide bodies if you have an entrenching tool? -

I'm still pretty confused as to what you're talking about. I understand what you're saying, I just haven't experienced it myself. Do you use aiming deadzone? What weapon? Or is this with all of them? Something else, if you double tap - on the numpad you'll get a larger field of view which might help with closer targets, I know it helps me when I'm getting swarmed by zombies. -

I voted to keep it, but I wouldn't mind the addition of the drag feature. In my case, I would actually drag bodies into a more visible area so other players notice them and loot them. Also, if you hide the body, the flies shouldn't be there still. Nothing sucks more than running in circles looking at the ground to confirm that a body is indeed under the map, even though you can hear flies. -

A little more detail would be beneficial to the discussion. How is it fucked up? Are you talking about iron sights? or the 3d crosshairs? Firing from the hip? Do you use aiming dead zone? -
People seem to forget this is an alpha, glitches will get fixed. But, first and foremost new content needs to be added. Otherwise DayZ will evolve at such a slow pace that most people will lose interest. I just hope we don't spawn with the dogs, they should be something you find and befriend, not one issued to every player upon every death. I'm hoping that video was a test mode with added spawn supplies and dog, to make the interview easier.

I'm kind of surprised I've never been helped by a sniper. Like some zombies are chasing me and out of nowhere they start dropping. That would be pretty cool, and creepy at the same time. -
The iron sights are garbage on it. I just put the zombies head in the circle. I've only used it for personal defense, so I've never tried it over range. I would imagine it sucks, but I don't like any of the pistols for range.

- Help clear out the zombies me- I don't have a weapon - Here take this mk48 30 seconds later we were running for the hills with ~50 zombies swarming us. That mk48 is too loud for my taste. I'm starting to like the PDW, it takes so many different types of magazines and is pretty quiet even with regular rounds, silent (to zeds) with the SD ones. It can do full auto. For a secondary you can't beat it, get some mp5 30 round magazines and it's almost good for PVP. I just wish we could recombine multiple pistol mags into a 30rnd mag.

I actually stopped on the way home from work tonight and got a backpack for my survival gear, and a couple things to put in it. Got a nice light weight hatchet, military compass, and magnesium stick. Now I gotta dig up all my other survival gear and put it in the pack so I'm ready for the infection. -

I noticed that my character has animations for smoking while sitting down. She puts her hand up to her mouth as if she had a cigarette. Not sure if it's just the female or if they all do it.
