    You know, if you guys would stop posting thirty thousand threads about server hopping, the problem would get slightly better. It's known, all you do by making another thread is spread the practice to newer players who haven't considered doing it.

    Sounds like an exploit/bug, report it on the bug tracker. It's supposed to be 30 stacks, because the 300 round box should only be able to hold 300, with 60 stacks you could potentially hold 600. Edit: Also kind of disappointing to see you making a video about this. I know it's just a small exploit, but you shouldn't encourage the use of any exploits.

    While the robbery system is nice it won't work.

    I've been held up by a few people already. Usually if you comply and communicate they don't kill you. A lot of it has to do with your body language. Don't panic and run away, don't draw a weapon, don't sit there motionless like you're about to combat log. Do something like wave and walk slowly towards them, calmly talking on direct. Don't scream "I'm friendly! I'm friendly! Don't kill me!" because they've already made the decision not to kill you. Talk to them like another human being, not like a victim.

    Anyone else wish it would be toned down a bit? It sounds good when you're right next to it, but when you're as far inland as the Elecktro hospital and it's still just as loud, it's a little annoying to have to listen to.

    I agree, some nice animations for digging in the bag would be great. But, I would still argue that you need to stop what you're doing with your hands and make an effort to access the items inside. If we just made the backpacks work like the containers do, it would achieve the same goal with just a minor tweak of the code. It would be a good place to start in seeing how people deal with less readily accessible storage space. Currently there's no strategy in what goes where.

    I just think it's a bit much that we can pull any and all items instantly from our packs, even on the move. Unholstering pistols from the backpack? WTF Is that nonsense? In real life you have to take off a backpack to get at all the items, sure smaller items can be pulled from pouches, but maybe those can be added to the game in the form of pockets on the pack. If you want the 35 slot section, you have to stop and take it off. To make things a bit easier while on the move, taking the pack into your hands would open it up in your inventory screen. You could then drag things into the other areas(shirt, pants, etc), but still not be able to use your hands until the pack is closed and on your back.

    Combine pistols - dual wield

    I like this idea. You should have to hold one in your hands that you have to drop before you can do anything using both hands, but you could still holster one of them to reload the other.(Provided you have a holster) Unless, you find a dual chest holster, in which case you could holster both. I don't think it would be right to instantly pull two pistols out of your backpack, or jeans and chest holster. Make it a pain to use two unless you find the dual holster and you've got something.

    I think they need to hammer out a good stable & secure version of the game before they start giving more control to admins. It's just too early for this stuff.

    What if people were always broadcasting in direct chat, but only for a very small radius, like 5meters around them. While pressing caps lock would extend that range out to whatever it is now. That way people talking on teamspeak or skype would be vulnerable to being heard if they talk on it right in front of you. Also, if you're trying to stay hidden from someone near you, you'd have to stay very quiet or even mute your mic to avoid being detected via sound. It would also have the benefit of allowing people to talk closely, without having to cue their mics or broadcast their voices out 20meters in all directions.

    How did you jump to the conclusion that this would prevent 3rd party voice software being used? The idea is to work along side the other software. Here's a video example of where this would make a difference. This guy was held up by 3 guys in a barracks, but he was on a 3rd party voice chat with his buddies outside. Realistically, there's no way someone that close could be communicating with people outside, without the 3 guys in the room knowing. Sure, he could queue his mic to his friends so they can hear him talking to the bandits, but as soon as he starts telling them which barracks he was in and how many guys, they would suspect something and react accordingly.

    It might know that you're transmitting at all times, but does that mean the server always needs to receive your transmissions? I don't think so.

    I'm sorry but who swings a rifle with bayonet? Wouldn't that be a stabbing motion? Melee weapons already collide with the environment, I don't see the problem.

    It might only send your voice to the server if the server needs to forward it to another player in range. But, who knows, I'm no programmer.

    They'll be needed, but I don't think they work correctly in Arma/dayz. Cranking them up shouldn't help define things that are in the dark, it should just brighten and define things you can already make out. Amplify the existing light, don't amplify the darkness.

    Am I just imagining things or wasn't there an Arma2 beta patch last year that effectively made gamma cranking useless? I could have sworn it was released and people put up so much of a fuss they reverted back. Let's use those settings for night time.

    I don't know. I mean before the apocalypse, why would they have a blood test kit in a first aid kit in some house? That seems unlikely, but i guess it's just as unlikely that they'd have a bloodbag kit and stuff. I'd rather see the idea above where we get different kinds of first aid kits, ones from hospitals should have this stuff, and then ones from houses just have basic stuff.

    I doubt their code is that unoptimized. If I was making a game I would set it so it only transmits your voice if someone is within range to hear it. But, who knows, maybe you're right and it would lag the server. But, we shouldn't really worry too much on the technical side, we should just decide if a feature is worth having, and then let the developers worry about implementation.

    Oh no an alpha has bugs! Let's add the as50 and m107 thermal, maybe some laser guns. I mean screw immersion, the bugs already break it. Also, the fact that this game came about through modifying arma means that Rockets vision can be fucked with freely, he has no right to dictate how we play his game, it was a mod! How dare he! #HASHTAG!
