He could play Quake 3 but this? This is way more sick. Why don't you spend time with him instead of introducing him to computer games? Teach him something, that will be more valuable than frags in DayZ. Let him play it when he's 18 and DayZ has all the features we are waiting for.

You just went full retard. "And pay someone to sit there and do nothing but update the public of what they are doing?" There's a name for it, it's called Public Relations for God's sake. Besides, you think a bunch of people work in chaos and they just put this shit together in last moment and release it? Everyone has assigned tasks and notifies the leader when they are completed, probably through bug tracker engine of some sort. It takes 0 time to make the changelog 100% complete. -

Vehicles are already confirmed with customization. And another thing: Making vehicles super hard to obtain and maintain won't make them any less common. They simply won't be available for peasants without teams, and smaller groups. Big groups will always have cars and won't have any problems getting all the parts and fuel. Kinda like the real world with rich and the poor but what could you know about that. :)
