It is generally tough to ghost into that situation though. When stuck up stairs, I am constantly moving, trying to see out the windows. Might cut down on the ghosting!

Just bizarre. I have had only a few incidents like that. I am a proud shotgun aficionado. I have probably killed 12 or 13 people using my sawed off. I have had 3 or 4 occasions where a clear shot should have killed and nothing happened, as though it played the sound, showed the smoke, and subtracted the shells, but the game decided not send out any buckshot!

IT really is easy to glitch and look at where people are. If it was ghosting, then the sound being added back in would have stopped it.

I doubt they would have been so brazen as to ghost INTO the jail when multiple players were in there. He could have shot your friend and due to lag you friend didn't get a chance to respond. He may never have seen him.

I will first try to contact any of my buddies who are nearby or online. Most of the time, someone will be available to take off some of the heat. Otherwise, I will just wait them out in a defensible position and hope for the best. I make them come in. I stay until I have to get off, at which point I decide what I want to do. If I think it is only one or two guys, I will make a run for it, firing as I go. IF it is more than that, I will find a place to log only if I absolutely can't stay online.

I would say remove the 30'06 completely and just use the 7.62x51 for generic rifle ammo. More common than the 30'06 anyway. -

Most pistols are garbage outside of 30m in the real world. But I understand you point, the issue is, in all the courses I have attended, and all the shoots I go to, the current dispersion model isn't far from the truth. I don't believe the dispersion model as it stands will remain. It works to allow play. But the dispersal value of the aim should be all the evidence people need. Addittionally, claiming the current model doesn't reward skill (which some keep repeating) isn't true. -

And there is the issue, you guys are greatly overstating the level of dispersion. I was just at Stary, in the metal building, and fired from one wall to the other, which was around 30m. St ding, breath held, all shots were in a torso sized area using the 1911. Is that useless? No! Saying you dislike any dispersion and exaggerating to say bullets are so random to be off by 40 degrees isn't a very compelling argument against dispersion because those claims are flat out wrong. -

Did I? Oh, I thought I was responding to his main defense against anyone who isn't up in arms about the supposed issues with shooting, that we are just looking to get shot less. The idea isn't an accurate response since it doesn't really help a person. If you are getting shot less, you are hitting less, and the people shooting at you will still likely kill you. My main response is I don't see any issue with the shooting mechanic as it stands. I kill people all the time. I am shot by people all the time. IF you cannot hit your target it is your issue, not the game. But you and your crusade enjoy yourself. You obviously take this much more to heart than myself and the majority of the community. I will be pleased that you will never really find peace with this game since it won't ever be what you want it to be. -

I can hit a zombie or a player from a standing position in game with mosin, m4, and SKS at 100m. The reason I find all of this endlessly entertaining is because hitting people and being hit is as easy as pie in this game. All this talk about dispersion has the ring of whiners. I don't care if they fix whatever it is you guys claim is broken. I don't read the data files for tricks or efficiency. I am not against anything for some bizarre desire to gain an advantage. As long as everyone is saddled with the same restrictions, I don't care. I will play the game in whatever state it is in. I have a good time with it. I shoot all the time, now I can't claim I can shoot 50 rounds from standing through the ten ring at 100 yards like yourself, but I do try my best. Maybe someday I can join your lofty position Kage. -

Oh, they are common? Where can I get one in Maine, USA? Because that would be boss. As far as crafting special 40mm rounds, the inconsistency in you boys concerning realism in this game is astounding. You have problems with ammo and guns, dispersion and movement, but morphine healing broken bones and crafting working bows out of sticks is ridiculous.

I am not sure how to respond to Krazycage. Half the post supports my comment, a third is remarkable bravado, the rest absurd. Take twenty random civilians to a range, give them a good hunting rifle, have them fire standing. Most will miss. -

How is reducing the number of firearms and ammo types dumbing anything down? Why is it a terrible design decision, because you say it is? Fewer ammo types is a perfectly reasonable design choice since it frees up carrying superfluous ammo and increases the usability of the firearms that they chose to add. Could they add more guns and ammo types? Is it that difficult? Not in the least. But characterizing it as lazy shows a remarkable lack of understanding. Of course you get all mad, you really don't know how things work. There certainly is frustration. There are three or four people constantly posting complaints and making bizarre claims concerning game design and ballistics, as though everyone was an expert. You aren't. They aren't. Don't pretend you are. -

At any point did they say they didn't want to add ammo types because it was difficult? You are quite obviously ignorant and most certainly live up to your name. That was a childish response lacking any real value and showed how little you understand the design part of game development. -

I think you need to review the definition of a strawman argument. Dispersion is added variance over and above sway and can be reflective of many bad shooting habits. Habits 99.99% of the population has. The idea that the crosshair should mirror exactly where the bullet hits isn't any more realistic than the zombies in the game. -

Who said anything about incompetence? Do you people really suck that bad at aiming? Really? If one were to read these threads, they would assum gunfights are 10m affairs, which is ridiculous. Gunplay is good. If anything the people looking for realism are actually asking for the laser precision of COD. -
I keep it to around 50mm and a hair above. I don't engage unless I make contact first, and never shoot beyond 100m if I can help it. I want to make sure I kill and finish what I start.
