Deer Stands - What Do You Want To Spawn There?
Leo Balzac replied to Katana67's topic in General Discussion
ammo....with deer spawning below. I've always wanted to harvest an entire herd. -
God I love it. Let's me hunt boar, cow and deer in peace. Set up a fire, cook their flesh and feast. Hell, I've even had a chance to fish. I'm loving the concentration of players these days. It let's me survive and thrive, instead of sneaking around like a neurotic mouse.

I once shot an innocent chinese woman in the face because she was force-feeding me something....only after I killed her did I realize it was a Pipsi. Sorry Paul.

I don't really see it as a 'complaint' but more of a suggestion to the Devs. It should probably be moved to the appropriate sub-forum though.

Has Anyone Else lost Faith in Dayz?
Leo Balzac replied to jamiereid_wow@hotmail.co.uk's topic in General Discussion
It is comforting to me, that I can not visit these forums for a couple months, come back and see that topic content has not changed. It's like putting on a pair comfy jeans. Thanks guys. -
You certainly do seem to have a hate on for the Mosin. I am a mosin fan (I own 4 IRL from various states of production) and realize the limitations of the firearm. Can I get a Mosin to fire consistently at less than 3 MOA, yes, but it requires a fair amount of effort. Can I get a mosin to fire 3.5-4 consistently? Damn right, give me 15 minutes, some card stock, oil and sandpaper. The mosin, to be truly accurate in the modern sense, does require some effort. To turn a poorly accurate mosin into a decently accurate one does NOT require a gunsmith. It's called shimming and fitting the stock, which can be done with cardstock, oil and sandpaper. The mosin has a relatively thin-walled barrel, so free-floating it usually makes accuracy worse, the needed fix is a consistent pressure point around 2/3s down the length of the barrel. Your comment about a cracked crown made me laugh, IF you found one with a cracked crown and shot it, you'd be classified as an idiot. I have sorted through dozens of crates of mosins and have yet to see one with a crack in the crown. If you did find one, all you'd need to fix it is a hacksaw and a chamfering tool. I do agree with your modern optics point, putting a LRS scope on a mosin requires a lot more work than what one would think. A bipod? You could bubba that sucker on in 5 minutes. Anyway, tl;dr time. I own many mosins, I like rehabing mosins, they can be made fairly accurate, fairly quickly with stock components. They will never shoot sub-moa.

So, let's move your process to an industry I have experience in. You are suggesting I paint the walls, then install the structural framing? madness man, utter madness. Someone else said it before me, but I'll re-iterate. You add core features in first, to get the framework in place, then during Beta, you polish those core features (bug fixing etc). Why spend time fixing a bug in a core component, when you're not sure if the next addition to the core component is (or isn't) going to cause more bugs to crop up in the component you just debugged?

Now that looting towns is so "risky" due to the Zed threat..
Leo Balzac replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
Perhaps you're quieter than I am. I also seen to agro the zombies, even when I'm trying to be sneaky. -
Yes and no, you can use an axe to loosen the soil to make hand digging easier. Hard on the cutting edge of the axe though. Kind of makes me wish there was an entrenching tool in game, that could be an effective melee weapon (stats slightly lower than axes) while still being usable for digging....if digging is ever a thing in this game.

You and who are an AKM?

A shovel?! My god man, get thineself an AX!

It doesn't work like this anymore as Zombies have superhuman (or would that be undead?) sight and hearing. They often times spot me at the edge of my render distance. -
"New players" reaction to this patch is just like..
Leo Balzac replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
Meh, people are going to complain. Most people are whiners, it's just the way it is. Internet or RL, when someone doesn't get exactly what they want, when they want it, they feel they are entitled to a tantrum. tl;dr- for the majority of the population life is a shit sandwich, now take a bite. -
Why did they change everything about zombies but the worst problems?
Leo Balzac replied to Rick1633's topic in General Discussion
Sure, we all paid for it. No one forced anyone to buy and the disclaimer was presented loud and clear before purchase. That being said, people are allowed to bitch and moan, in fact, that's what most people do best. So by all means, continue to do so, just don't act all surprised an angry when the majority of rational people point out for the thousandth time that you agreed you were buying a game in an unfinished state. tl;dr- You have the right to complain, you don't have the right to pretend you were ripped off because you agreed to buy an incomplete work.
