the time in GMT is here http://bit.ly/1dPE9oa , it's a minimum of 3 hours so it will defiantly go for another hour at least after that I guess when it's done. if you sit in game and constantly refresh your server browser, it stop bugs and errors from occurring and will speed up the process.

Yeah I'd heard they would go stable early if it was going well, rocket also said the server hopper/combat logging was near being fix or it could be a plain old maintenance. Hope it's something big if not *two palms up*

After much looking about I believe that this is where the city of Svetloyarsk is going to be, why? Read on good people Lets start off with the most obvious, In the patch notes it was stated to be a coastal harbor town, being the only harbor without a town but the very visible framework of a town circled in red in the picture below. It's easy to see this would be a logical choice. But you say, thats the town of Guba!! I know what your thinking, that's what I also thought but Guba isn't a town those buildings there were called Guba because they had no actual name for them in the picture below you'll see that Guba is actually the name of the bay. Bodies of water marked in blue, landmarks in grey and towns are in black (Olsha) The layout I've proposed looks pretty big right? well it kinda makes sense when looking at the Cherno/Bolota area. Why there you ask? keep in mind the rest of this is solely my theory crafting and opinions. 1. Giving players who spawn on the east coast something to shoot for instead of the nearest cliff/tower. The jog up through Berezino will leave players well equipped to survive and having the airfield in proximity means there will be the chance to get some good weapons. Failing that it's a similar distance to the NWAF if coming from Cherno. 2. Distribution of player's, as some players will still spawn on the south coast the split of good places to go based on proximity, from experience the NE coast is fairly much a dead zone and little caution is needed. The split will make it harder for griefer's to camp a single location and butcher the freshie's as they pass through. Not only this but the run from NEAF to NWAF is again easy going little competition and plenty of resources (unlooted towns) This area of the map is underused currently but I think that's going to change. 3. Move the endgame? This is something that only time will tell, but reason would suggest that with the increased spread of players those looking for action might end up at the NWAF as from "Svetloyarsk" to Bolota is a bloody long way. Also there is sever places in the north west that are the skeletons of towns but it will likely be a while before they are finished. 4. End of KoS? ha ha ha ha keep dreaming where ever they put it Svetloyarsk is going to draw in players from everywhere wanting to check out the new town, it'll be a bloodbath for a while. TL:DR log out north of the shipwreck day before the patch goes live. Thanks for reading my wild theories folks, don't get shot. Like it was said on page one, more or less shit happens for you claim that you understand that wipe's bug and all that other fun is in the game and then you complain about it. there is other creatures who do this... they live under bridges, now if you don't mind there are other threads that can benefit from my infinite stupidity. -

My first 9 hours of play was night time, It's an interesting experience, unfortunately there is the bugs with the flashlight the full gamma thing and it's just pitch black. I'm keen to go back but just waiting until they address some of the issues, even then I wouldn't play on them all the time. There was a thread on reddit where one lovely user did a night re-colour, personally I think this is a bit bright but it's a damn sight better then what we have now. No it's because while your position may be justified, all it's doing is bringing out a bunch of meme's and isn't creating a conversation. This is an alpha build that is just under a year from going to a beta build this isn't a finished product. The hackers will be dealt with in due time but for the moment remember that this game is buggy isn't secure from hack's and should not be considered a final product. -

I don't have anything against armed choppers I just don't like the idea of needing 30 people to take a chopper down cos there isn't rpgs or the like. I'm cautious of rpg's and .50 cal rifles because of the outright griefing potential of them. Once you hit the trees evading a chopper should be fairly easy cos I know for damn sure in some of the forests I have a hard time finding landmarks (read distant mountains). Running into the bush seeing or hearing the chopper come down to drop a squad to hunt your's down, can you evade them? kill them? or even circle around to steal the chopper? -

They are still bringing up the experimental servers and this is one of the most popular tests they have ever done "the servers are usually half full" but they are getting rammed be all the players trying to see the new content... man that place is gonna be a death zone or the friendliest place on earth
