That's a fairly good idea some people might find it a bit restrictive, but if you load the game and just press play it will automatically reconnect you to the last server you where on, so I don't see how that would be an issue or have the server IP in the description for the lockpick, or not and lolz -

When respawning infected hit stable, there will defiantly be some "KoSer's" who end up in a bad way, initially at least. I think it will all pan out it's merely the lack of content that is making players bored and wanting to kill someone. -

Bandits at least have the stones to put themselves in harm's way while robbing a person, curse of monkey island was a great point and click game much like KoS. -

Now you've done that try exiting steam completely then restarting it, I've had this problem and when steam updated my DayZ it stopped, if not there might be an issue with your local files which I don't know how to deal with but google or another lovely forum member might tell you the right place to go for that.

You sir are a fucking genius, I propose new item's, Spawn location: Skalisty Island Spawn rate: extremely rare Item's: Sear's catalog and Victoria's Secret catalog KoS, heavily reduced. Spawn camping, non-existent. -

The only way around this as far as I could tell is to not have a timer if you are re-connecting to the same server after being disconnected, but that may end up being poor man's ghosting, eg, get shot at, run somewhere they are unlikely to get to you before 30 seconds is up, dcc wait 2 mins, log back in and catch shooter unaware. I know there's also been talk of a detection system for if you have been shot at in the last X min's but all of those systems would take extensive programming and likely create increased server lag (read:decrease in zombies and items able to be put on map) although this is from my limited knowledge of computing and networking. So unfortunately in my opinion there isn't a "good" way to deal with this that a section of the players won't abuse. -
I haven't done that since I was a kid, also getting good shafts is a pain in the arse used to spend hours looking for perfectly straight shaft's. Time to reminisce..... Now that's over, there was a rather long and detailed conversation about choppers which I can't find right now. In my opinion, they should be complicated to get running, they should be limited to smaller "farmer" style choppers, difficult to fly, and the people who have them should be forced to hold a refueling station or raid one and transport some fuel in a [ground] vehicle in order to keep it in the air. Small arms fire should be a threat so the pilot must be tactical about the routes, this would also mean no super sniper rifles needed to take them down. Having a helicopter would be an advantage in these conditions but air time would be precious so they wouldn't be flown around all the time only when a situation demanded it. I am yet to find a location big enough to land a helicopter that I can't access on foot, this is a null point.

Yes on the first one, maybe on the other two, It's a situational thing, mostly it depends on how they are asking. Someone whos QQing and saying "pleeeeesssse help me" in a whiny voice is likely to be left to suffer or put out of their misery. If they however speak to me in a reasonable fashion I'm far more inclined to help.

Agree, I seem to be having issues with my mic right now, it used to work fine, so I'm sometimes resorting to text chat, as long at it functions the same way as voice over the radio I don't see why anybody would argue against it unless they are in desperate need of attention. -

OMG You don't shoot people and actually communicate!! And this greatly reduces the KoS that you encounter. The forums need more posts and stories like this so people can understand this, hell on the airfield I DIDN'T shoot someone cos they talked to me. -

It's a frustration that we see a lot of here, there's many posts from people asking for the ton's of guns, ironically there is just as many threads complaining about KoS, and the timer that make server hopping take forever, coincidence? Complain they can't find the gun they want, server hop complain about the timer, get shot after finding gun, complain about KoS- 29 replies

Shhhhhh dude, you know how many people look in the door then move on, it's like a hidden treasure trove back there. edit; from what I can tell, the spawn rate drop's again on experimental and the mosin dmg has been nerfed, expect 2-3 shot to kill instead of one. -
I get that, I sometimes don't get to play for a week due to other commitment's, so when I do play I want every moment possible to count, as I've already stated before, don't join shitty servers and you won't have issues. Why does no-body understand this simple concept?

Again I do feel this is something that will re-organize itself in time, DayZ as it stands not is lacking in content and while I love the game it is boring at times. It's something that future content will address and I'm really looking forward to, but as of right now there isn't a great deal to do.

I like it, maybe even a slightly larger building, that was being used as a quarantine or emergency first aid facility there would still be other injuries but with the hospital's being the most likely to be first to get overrun. If a number of people where inside and infected where amongst them, it is conceivable that the military would seal the building to prevent them escaping.
