They're in Electro... :D Me and my friends killed around 8 people and got 7 long range scopes. But I very rarely found them anymore, since the tents don't spawn loot anymore.

I made a thread about random events, but this idea I like so much that I'm going to give it it's own thread. And I am not talking about houses where you are invulnerable. Since there are many villages in the game that are too small to get decent loot from and are pretty much just there to fill up the map space and there's nothing special about them. Here is where my suggestion of safe houses come into play. Every building in the game would have a small chance to "spawn" as a fallen safe house upon server restarts. The windows would be boarded shut, the door should be locked and you would need a crowbar to break in and it would be swarmed by zombies. In order to make players look for these safe houses the loot in them should be very rare, hard to obtain and useful. Also things like food, water and medicine should spawn in them in big amounts. The houses could look like something like this: BTW there should be no NPC's

Have you noticed that you're on a game forum? There are like 1000 threads complaining about the same things, this is just my idea for combat logging and I wanted to discuss about it with other people. If you don't like the subject just don't read it, buddy.

So? That doesn't mean we can't have nice things. I appreciate your feedback but this is just what I think would be the best for all these combat logging bitches. Maybe this could work in hardcore mode but not in regular mode?

Not exactly 30 minutes I just threw it in there, as I said, a lot of tweaking :D Yes the ghost would be killable, just like ATM I think it would be good if other players could see the tents Also it would be great if other players could access your gear while you're sleeping so they wouldn't have to kill you to get your loot, they could just steal your stuff.

But how does the log out timer affect your gameplay in any way? I mean you leave a "ghost" behind you, it's not like you had to watch your character sit there for 30 minutes, it would just stay there... Also you couldn't switch servers because your character is still on another server so no ghosting either, but if you returned back to the server you were in you would get back to playing as soon as you logged in. You would stop sleeping.

I may even say that it doesn't affect server hopping at all, only thing it affects is combat logging. /edit, oh and 50% of the time when I change the server I don't even get any timers. -
Good thinking, obviously I don't have everything figured out, my suggestion is more direction giving.

I'm not 100% sure about the story behind the zombie outbreak but I feel that the coast area is way too fancy and clean. You'd think that if there was an apocalypse everything would be f*cking chaotic and danger would be always around the corner... well only place where danger is around the corner is Electro, but other than that the whole coast is a pretty gentle and even friendly. Once camping and base building gets implemented I'd like to have a reason to go up North and start a camp there. But now staying on the coast isn't that dangerous. I want a real reason to be forced off the coast and into the wilderness.

Right now the best place to get water are water pumps and ponds. But I haven't seen that much water supplies up North. Here is my suggestion. Make a river that flows through Chernarus back into sea, it would split into smaller streams on it's way. That way it would be easy to set up a camp (once it's implemented,) by the side of a stream or a river. That's what I would do in an apocalypse, infinite water, eh? Another thing, rivers would force the player to cross water areas, so bridges would become great ambush spots.

I gotta tell you, that water looks amazing :3 But on the other side, if there were a lot of rivers etc. people with shitty ass PC's couldn't play the game. That's why we can't have nice things.

I'm pretty sure that flowing water texture isn't that hard to make. but making a rapids with different water levels I can see being a challenge.
