Yeah it's not the mod. Yet it's almost the same. I don't know about you but I had a little higher expectation of the development speed for this game. Right now, there is nothing really bad to be said about it, but in half a year people will start to notice. Of course when the dev team actually proves me wrong and start adding content and fixes frequently like for example path of exile dev team managed I will be happy to pay for it.

How is this issue related to programming skills? In fact I know a little Java but to consider myself to be a developer I don't even bring it up. If you played the game and the mod for at least 2-3 years you wouldn't be spewing around such bs like you are right now. I already enlightened you, this game is going to be almost the same for another couple of years.

No, YOU didn't do your research my friend. This game didn't come out of nowhere, dayz mod is out bunch of years and its almost the same through whole that period. And when they throw you a patch with it's biggest content addition a magnum pistol, I just puked in my mouth a little.

And you're not any better throwing around your seemingly valid reasons for why the game cannot be any better right now. Because in a year the game will not change and you will still sit here, telling people that they shouldn't have paid for an alpha, if they expected it to be any different. The roots of the game is a huge glitchy engine that makes a top-end system look like shit and that will not change. For example the famous cfg line GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; why in the world after 4 years of game development is this set to 1000 as default when the only thing this does is to screw up performance?

I'll tell you what I wanted to hear as an honest statement: WARNING: THIS GAME IS EARLY ACCESS ALPHA. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO ACTIVELY SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT OF THE GAME AND TO GIVE US SOME OF YOUR MONEY SO WE CAN ENJOY GETTIN RICH FOR DOING ALMOST NO JOB. BE PREPARED TO HANDLE ALOT OF SERIOUS ISSUES AND INEVITABLE INTERRUPTIONS OF GAME FUNCTIONING BECAUSE WE ARE SOME OF THE SLOWEST DEV TEAM IN THE WORLD. THANKS FOR YOUR MONEY ANYWAY!

I don't want to be counted as someone who complains all the time, I made an account on this forum just to express my feeling about the game. Single post, single opinion. I bet you whatever you want that in another year this game will be almost unchanged. If they somehow pull a miracle I trust them to fix some glitches and add more lootspawn, maybe even vehicles/animals but nothing radical. This game is practicaly untouched from what it was a few years back so yeah, why does everyone assume its going to change just because they sold amazing 400k copies of alpha in a few days? Edit: the devs are pretty smart though. They achieved a great thing, putting a label "dont buy this alpha if you dont want to support the dev" of course there are 500k fanboys that will buy it anyway, counting me, even though its just recycled mod we've had here for bunch fo years. The thing is, devs already have all the money they ever needed from this game. To be fair the "alpha" product they put on steam is not very different from the mod. Better HUD, inventory, and few other changes come to mind but overall it feels almost similar. Same engine, same map (for now), same tools. Not too much work has been done to improve the game mechanics other than zombie animations. The game as it is now needs some content. It's just plain stupid, whenever I die, I just run to Balota if its near, if not I try to die from zombies and respawn. I loot all of the balota military camps, switch server, loot again, maybe 10 times until I have all the gear needed then just go KoS because theres not a single thing to do otherwise!! Theres no fun for me to try and get some group of people going because what will you achieve? Another guy connects and shoots all of you for no reason, its the only way to play if youre not truly organised. Anyway my original point was, the devs got all the money, they can just sit back, relax and once in a while make a small update.. almost everyone is going to praise them like gods because "they must work so hard to make the game better", for the $4M+ they already have just from this alpha crap that will most likely not become something bigger and much better than other games (even though it could). There are so many ideas just on this single forum but why would the devs work their asses off on this game, when all the money they could ever want is already in their pockets? I know I wouldn't, as much as I love this mod I'd take the money, sit back and relax. Even though I bought this alpha, I'll wait another year and see for myself I wasnt wrong.
