Pretty self-explanatory. I suppose that we don't make any irreversible changes to sticks, burlap sack and rope used. That way, it would be nice to be able not only to assemble this packs, but to disassemble them the same way. Rope+Sack <-> Courier pack Courier pack + Sticks <-> Improvised pack For most players it won't make any difference, but I see this as a nice addition.

Well, this makes sense, can't argue with that. I'm really sorry if my comment looked ignorant. And in it I didn't meant the OP's suggestion, I meant only too low magnification of ACOG and PU, not more, not less. It's not gamebreaking, it's not even an "issue" probably, let's call it inconvenience (and a whole situation with FOV also); I'm totally sure it will be fixed later on and ALPHER etc., but I let it to become too personal (feeling sorry about that).

I think that they should fix magnification issues first. The ACOG and PU are heavily undervalued now because their magnification is ~2 times worse than it should be. And if they do the same thing with the PSO-1 scope when SVD will be implemented... This issue IMO makes it kinda silly to use mid-range scopes, just because they're closer to the red dot ones currently than to anything magnifying.

And it's the most important part, lol. And my couple of cents is the fact that you missed all the stuff that can be done with proper zeroing. BTW, working on a guide on rangefinding/zeroing now. Some military tactics are probably inbound afterwards. -
So. Your post point-by-point. 1. Military outposts are never safe. Except for when you (or your team) are alone on a server. 2. If you hadn't seen other players that doesn't mean that they are not there. I usually stay on guard overwatching the whole area while my friends are looting and I know what I'm talking about. 3. You missed the footsteps - your fault. Same goes for not checking your surroundings even more often than looking for loot itself. 4. "Best gear" means nothing. And I almost died on the whole "several hours old" + "best gear" + "barracks" combo. I'm pretty successfully surviving (and engaging in firefights every now and then) in an especially bright blue outfit (UN beret and press vest included). Character is about 3 weeks old. The main thing with death in DayZ is the fact that it's always your fault. It's as simple as that. You will never get killed if you're doing everything in a proper way. Death and losing everything is what makes you learn here. It's the fastest and the most efficient way to learn.

Actually, sawn-off is pretty good. Was able to test it yesterday. 8-10m distance, one shot, from the hip. After that the victim had a broken leg and nearly all equipment damaged. This is one shot, not two. /offtop BTW, the B95 is great. It just feels too satisfying to use it. -
I'm in quite a confusing situation right now. All the canteens that I find are consumed by 25% per drink and can't be poured into another container. Am I the only one with this issue? Posted on bug tracker already. In discussion section I'm trying to understand if I'm the only one experiencing this, nothing more. I'm not expecting a fix, only a heads-up from a community, don't get me wrong, please. Excuse me if I was too annoying, I have some issues with this also, fix inbound. -

Looks like no one watched the video properly. After filling the bottle from the pump I get 83% of it (or 5 del, which is important in this case). Canteen fills ok, to 100% (10 del). The issue is that they are consumed by 2.5 del instead of 2 del per use (and I get 2 and 4 uses from bottle and canteen when I should be able to get 3 and 5) and that I'm not able to pour water between them. -
