Yo, 110% I am with this guy. I almost forked out +$1000 just to play this game on a PC about 2 years back or so. I don't mind a buggy game. Everything has to start somewhere. I would be more than honored to demo your game and provide feedback. :) PS: Yes, I am impatient. I realize it's release is only 6 days out.

Literally there are 5000 people playing this on console right now. and people are saying that it has already turned into a battle royal game. ITS IN A BETA STAGE. We'll see how it really functions once release on the 29th.

I want to know if there is a PC I can buy, already put together, that can run DayZ standalone fairly well. I don't want to build one but maybe just one that will perform good for DayZ. Thanks for any feedback. I know these threads are everywhere but I'm trying to do a lot of research and there are a lot of contradicting posts all over the internet.

By the way, thank you to everyone for their help with this. I really appreciate all the suggestions. Yeah, being my first-time dealing with gaming PC, I've become really cautious about what to buy and which information to trust. I guess it all comes with experience.

Do you have any recommendations as to where to start with a build? I'll probably need to buy it piece by piece when I can afford the parts until I have the complete set to build. I really have nothing to start with (i.e. Monitor, keyboard, mouse). But any help would be great. I did some research around the internet but, like I said, it's hard to find solid information on where to start. One person says one thing and another person disagrees and recommends something different.

Diablo 3 ported amazingly to consoles. It was actually better on console than on PC. Controls won't be a problem. If Blizzard could figure it out, so can these devs.

I live in California and really I'm looking for a good affordable setup (laptop or desktop) that can run dayz with decent FPS. I don't even know what price range but I guess I'm looking for most affordable. Maybe someone has a used rig that I can buy off them that works. I don't know.

Anyone know of a laptop that would run the standalone version? I'd love to get my hands on this.

Just disappointing. They'd have great success bringing this to next gen console. Some people can't afford a gaming computer capable of playing this. If someone can point me to a laptop that would play this that's relatively affordable, I'd be intrigued. :)
