hello all i have just bought the arma2 pack so i can download dayz but every time i try and join a server i get some sort of error. can anyone help me please thank you matt

i just get the downloaded the commander and got into the first game i tried your a start mate. i got hammered though lol

You cannot play/edit this mission, it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.dayz_code, dayz_weapons, dayz_equip etc.'upon joining any DayZ server. You installed the mod or the shortcut incorrectly. Make sure you add "-mod=@dayz" without quotes in the launch options and DayZ mod files are installed in the proper folder. By default: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\Addons" this looks like it will solev one of my problems but i dont really understad where im putting the -mod=@dayz ??? ~

the when i try and connect to server i get all sorts and just cant get into a game ;( i was just a crow flying around ????? i get bad version server rejected connection connecting failed no entry `bin config.bin/cfgweapons/scar_H_STD_eglm_spect.eglmmuzzle` you canot play/edit blablabla please help me :(

the first one i get when i open dayz in steam is addon `dayz_anim` requires addon `ca_communityconfigurationproject_e`

i am really liking the looks of dayz but i can seem to download it . it looks like an add-on to arma2 but i don't have this ether and i don't want to go and buy arma2 and not use it. where and how can i get this game to try ??? thanks for your help matt

if i buy arma2 then add the mod for dayz will i still need to buy the full game ??
