Would you really appreciate it when every single new spawn doesn't like there spawn spot and just continuously respawns till they get a good spawn? Because that's what would happen if that button was always available, and it would result in everyone being in basically the same area, which would result in even less loot.

I think the problem is that it is way to easy to get geared and thats why there is so little communication now. If youre a fresh spawn or someone that has no gear, you just book it to one of the places that basically have a guaranteed gun and your set, since you dont have any gear theres no worrying of dying. If your already geared then you dont need to rob people because youve got everything you need. I could say maybe a geared person would rob someone for food/water, but common when was the last time someone actually died from starvation/dehydration on here? it takes way to long. The only real robbing that is plausible now is a fresh spawn robbing a geared person, and good luck with that.

As its been said, it could just be that a lot of people might be taking the ammo for these guns. A gun such as the m4, i will strip the parts off so that you can't use it, if i run past a mosin/blaze/whatever else, those dont have parts, so what i do is remember to pick up all the ammo for the gun that i just passed, then randomly disperse it into bushes and such as im leaving the town. Lessens my chance of someone else having a gun that he can then shoot me with and therefore increases my chances of survival. I bet a decent amount of other people do this, hell i started doing it because i saw another person doing it and though it was extremely smart. So yea, maybe its not the spawns, besides mosin ammo ive never had trouble finding ammo of all sorts constantly. -
I was really expecting a crazy story about dying from lag or a glitch or something of the sort. Not another player killed you. That's completely fair. Most of the players on here have had tons of way more unfair deaths, such as clipping threw a building and falling to their death, randomly dying from desync/player spawning on top of them, climbing up a ladder/running and breaking their legs leading to death. Those are unfair ways to die. Alas, this is alpha, and it happens often.

don't worry, i will be spending most of my time around these forest along with only small towns. Since this past patch im getting even more fps drops and lag around the big cities, couple that with that fact that these zombies are now crazy, and it becomes almost impossible to defend myself in a big city without constant lag causing zombies to catch me and cause me to bandage 5+ times.

Anyone else hide weapons to prevent others from looting them?

i dont hide weapons, however if i run across an m4 i will take the site and buttstock off of it and then go drop them somewhere far away later on. -

shit i currently carry around 4 guns. 3 primaries and a secondary haha. Got the mosin on my back, m4 in my hands. sawed off shotgun is small enough to store in your backpack (takes 4 horizontal slots) and then ive got my pistol just in case. -
I think 3rd person is fine the way it is. Obviously there are some issues with peopel being able to see threw walls if they lean against them (think you can do that in 1st person too?), but other then that it's fine. If you think 3rd person is cheap there are plenty of servers that offer either hardcore mode, or have 3pp off in the server settings.

Maybe he never got a chance? With this patch if you fire off a round you can expect at least a few zombies to immediately be converging on you, maybe he was swarmed and couldnt get to you in time. -
Lets see, so far things that i've noticed besides everything you stated. Police stations seem to spawn too many guns, i opened a room (server was just restarted) and found a mosin on the desk and then an sks on the shelf next to it, i mean i know its a police station and in real life they have a lot of guns but still. I was climbing up a ladder of a firestation in elektro and my leg became fractured and my pants completely ruined. I'm 99% positive i was not shot, nor attacked by zombies (did not hear any sounds at all). Also only 1 other person on server, and when i got to the top of the ladder i stopped and stood there for at least a full minute not moving to figure out if it was a sniper, so unless he only had one bullet, but i doubt it. Also no zombies around at all. So there might be a glitch with that ladder. Also i seem to lag around cities a lot more then previous patch, i had a group of zeds following me in a city and was lagging so hard that they kept catching up to me, afraid theyd eventually hit me i jumped into the ocean from a dock. Which brings up something else i noticed. Apparently the water does not act like water in real life as i jumped into at least 6 ft.deep water and the elevation above the water was only about 2 feet, yet i fell directly to the bottom hard enough to go from pristine pants, energerized,healthy,hydrated, to DEAD. Think that needs to be fixed.

Why did they change everything about zombies but the worst problems?

People saying they like the zombies now must be getting really lucky. I like the fact that now there are usually more zombies around. I do not like the fact that the zombies can respawn within inches of you, already aggroed to you, completely silent, and make no noise until they hit you. I was literally running earlier and on 4 seperate occasions i cleared the area and began running only to have a zed spawn on top of me and whack me. And now since they actually do a lot of damage (1 whack brings me from healthy, hydrated, energized, with pristine gear, to bleeding) makes this a problem. It would be great they spawned but could only respawn a certain distance away, at least not right on top of you. Hell one time today i even had an invisible zombie where i heard it yelping, i kept looking in 360 around me constantly, then finally i got whacked and then it appeared. It was like it respawned, already aggroed at me, but the games engine didnt render its image until it was already attacking. This makes the respawn system very annoying, and dare i say it, gamebreaking atm. Its one thing to implement respawns to increase zombies, and increase their damage to help people be afraid of them, its another thing to allow them to respawn directly on top of someone, be completely silent, and even sometimes invisible. -
I like the fact that zombies actually hurt now when they hit. With that being said, i'm hoping they fix there spawns extremely soon because a lot of people are going to be aggravated by it. I was on NE airfield and can say it was more annoying then fun to play today. I cleared all the zeds. Then i would start running and at least 5 times one would randomly spawn in close proximity to me, already be aggroed at me, make no noise at all, then hit me and cause me to bleed. I like that they make you bleed now (though i think their damage is too high atm, considering im wearing full worn-pristine military gear, healthy, hydrated, and energized, and one hit brings me to bleeding without lowering gear durability) and i also like that they respawn. But the fact that they respawn so quickly and in such close proximity is ridiculous. Especially the fact that they are already aggroed to you upon spawn and make no noise until they hit you.

They arn't? All cheating is problematic to gameplay, and i might be going out on a limb here, but yea maybe not all, but most things problematic to a good gameplay experience are cheating. (take note however: not at this stage of game development where there are fps issues/lag ect. but once a full game is released as finished, really the only thing problematic to gameplay are people finding and abusing exploits and glitches.) Why do you think Call of Duty bans people for using glitches to get into parts of the map they shouldnt be in? Yea they didnt hack the system, its just there and anyone can do it, but its an exploit and considered cheating because it gives an unfair advantage. Definition of cheating: act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, esp. in a game or examination. Definition of exploit: s the use of a bug or glitches, rates, hit boxes, or speed, etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers. It seems your definition of hacking, matches pretty closely to the definition of an exploit. The game designers didnt add in a gamma slider for you to make it easier to see at night, they put it there to optimize night time and daytime (i.e. at day it should look like day, at night it should look like night, not at night it should look closer to day) You also mentioned server hopping, yes it's a function of the game, but its an exlpoit (which is cheating) because thats not how the designers have intented the game to be played. The fact that they are trying to add in preventions for it should speak for itself that they consider it unfair. -

OP it seems you are trying to pick and choose which exploits you consider cheating. And i don't think thats right. Its the same way with laws. The way i see it, every exploit is a cheat, server hopping, lowering gamma radiation, ect. They are all cheating. Does that mean that the severity of one isn't greater? no. But to simply say one exploit isnt a cheat and another is isn't correct. Drinking underage/smoking weed are things a lot of people consider to be fine and that they shouldnt be against the law. But they are still against the law. Are they as bad as say murder? nope. But theyre still against the law. What i'm trying to say is if you believe exploits=cheats, then all exploits=cheating, you don't get to say well ones not so bad so its not cheating because you're still exploiting it. and yes, i do occasionally use exploits as well. I'm not saying that using them is right. I'm just saying you need to look at how youre justifying it. -
How I Appear as Friendly as Possible

FYI, you can also easily store a sawed off shotgun in your pack. it takes up 4 spaces in 1 line horizontally. I currently do this to easily 1 hit kill in small buildings if i need to.
