Who's crying? I don't KoS or combat log. I play as a survivor, I never kill without reason. I'll stalk you like a pray, The game is kind of taking itself to the ground being alpha and having this huge player base. Too easy to survive and gear up for people to interact. I havent played very much for a reason. Once survival becomes a challenges, with sicknesses and way more zombie, we can have this conversation again.

I disagree. KoS is part of the game and makes it what it is. I wouldn't enjoy the game as much if I had the freedom of knowing I could just run around and do my thing without the fear of getting shot.Combat logging is however, giving up on the situation. Man up and either get in the firefight or make a run for it. That simple.

You got what you deserved for combat logging. Sounds like COD is better suited for you.

Please move thus thread in the appropriate place.. using mobile device makes it hard to find the right place. First of all, Im building this rig: -Intel core i7 quad core 3.4GHZ 8MB cache -ASUS Z87 DDR3 motherboard -ADUS RADEON R9 270X 2GB 5.6GHZ video card -16GB RAM DDR3 -128GB SSD -512GB SATA Hard drive -256GB SATA hard drive. -OS Windows 7 Professional 64bits My question is: Should I have the OS, Steam and Dayz installed on the SSD? Or could I have the OS and just dayz intalled on SSD while steam and my other steam based games installed on the SATA drive? And this build should run Dayz with pretty decent FPS right? Thanks ahead of time. Looking forward to get back at Dayz. My old CPU just wasnt good enough anymore. 30fps on a good day on low everything simply isnt good enough.

I now, just saying the SSD i bought for the build is PCI-E.

SSD is actually PCI-E, not SATA hehe

Why an i7 as oppsed to an i5? Why 16GB RAM as oppose to 8? Because i got a better deal on those components and want to xomouter to max out games for a couple years.

Dayz is mostly the only game i play for now in pc.. i cant wait to have this new rig... play with clouds in the sjy, shadow on the ground... i foresee some good fishing! Haha

Previously Running 4GB of RAM on a dual core 1.something with radeon 4890 on the .44 build ... Im expecting a pretty good change in performance.

Thanks for your input. Should be a decent machine. Hoping to see 80-90 fps in the wild 30-40 in the city as the current game is. Parts are coming this week. Should be up and running for the weekend.

So when i install dayz from steam, i usually just let it go to the default folder, so once I re-install on this setup, I can choose where i want to install dayz to?

How would one ask for his money back when it is clearly stated the game is early alpha and that you should not buy it unless you want to contribute to the testing of what an alpha game is. Dont play it until it goes beta or whenever you think it has progressed enough for your likings. In the end, you will have saved money buying the game for 30$ as opposed to a full release price.

I just run away. You run faster than them. Or punch them in the face. I dtk how people get killed or are afraid of zombies in this game. There are such a non factor at this point. They actually help more than not.

I found one today in a red brick single storey house where medical stuff usually spawns.

I used to have the same problem as you, OP. I had been on the same character since the second patch... I decided to kill him by jumping off the green mountain tower. Fixed my problem. I knew it had to be character issue since my hardcore player was fine... only my regular player was acting up.

You can see yourself if you pull up your inventory, you can even rotate your guys 360deg by holding the left mouse button and moving the mouse. Good post, and leave my mom alone. :)

I joined a daytime server earlier (30 players, full), ran in the woods as a fresh spawn. I ran until I found a water pump. Hydrated myself, kept on running deeper in the woods until I was dying from starvation. Made it into stary, found food, a mosin and ammo.... and no later than 2 mins later an M4. I carried both weapon until I decided to check out the new city. Made it there, all closed doors. I found a dude with not much who said was almost dying from starvation. I gave him food and not too long after, I gave him the m4. We then headed together to the NEAF for some military looting but it was already looted. As we were inside the ATC tower, I heard footsteps... me and buddy were in game chat so they knew we were there but didnt talk... I heard 2 guys sneaking up. My mosin got rid of the first dude who peaked inside. The second one went running behind the hangar waiting for us to move. After 15 minutes, I equipped the magnum, ran outside. Took mosin back out and spotted the other dude. Took him down. Got some food and drinks from the kills. Left the area. Buddy who had not much was so excited, he necer had seen so much action and learned quite a bit. We are now steam buddies. Needless to say, loot is out there. You just gotta find it.

1PP is the way to go. Way more intense gameplay. And like he said, you dont see many rooftop campers in 1PP... you expose yourself everytime you peak as oppose to scan the area being under cover while in prone position.

My character is all geared up, military everything. I have 2 first aid kits, 3 canteen, 2 protective cases with anti-biotics, painkillers, morphine, epi pens, food to spare. Hours of looting. I made my way back to Berezino, hoping to find fresh spawners... help them finding the water pumps, give them a canteen, food, clean rags... find an axes, weapons... well you catch my drift. I met with 3 guys at the construction site, sneaked up on them, they had no idea I was there and took control... pointing my pristine everything M4 at them. They complied with my directions and soon I was helping them looting, teaching them about what places are good for looting and what not. All was well. I lost connection so I changed servers... found a new spawner and I picked up where I had left. I gave him water, found a backpack, a fire axe for him. I showed him around town... I always guided him and stayed on his 6. After 30 mins of successful looting with him, he struggled with a couple zombies and he was bleeding heavily... That<s where I made the mistake of bandaging him instead of giving him the bandage... LOL Needless to say, I let my guard down for one minute and that's all it took for him to chop me down with the axe I found for him. I am now debating if I will ever help a young Bambi...I will never bandage anyone again that's for sure. Well enjoy my gear young baby, I'm sure you look sharp!
