I always find them in the multie door car garages like the ones in Zelenogorsk. That and bars usually have them behind the counter.

How does your Player group handle Tents come Wed maintance?
foolee replied to BHKH's topic in New Player Discussion
We don't, so far we have lost 2x. The first one due to a glitch death of the tent carrier. The second one due to the unscheduled Christmas update. Merry Christmas we erased your base camp... -
Some tips on finding magazines and crash sites.
foolee replied to nillie's topic in New Player Discussion
The last one I found was at 600m distance when I noticed it. I need new graphics cards. Im in the process of upgrading my PC. I also play at 1680x1050 @ normal settings. I just have bad luck when finding them I guess. Without scoring a V3S/Jerrycan I don't see a fast way of finding them without server jumping, which is something I don't like to do. -
There should be a user rating system like ebay. I know other forums have them, This guy seems to frequent on people signatures as someone to avoid as well. TGPstolas

Would you support a desicion to replace the Infusion engine?
foolee replied to Damnyourdeadman's topic in General Discussion
I think the Enfusion engine will be better that you think. Hardware support for DX10/11 is big news IMO. They plan to do a PS4 launch, that means AMD optimization. Since both the PS4 & Xbox1 have AMD APU's. Everything points to better multithreading (8 cores), better graphics and supporting current gen hardware. -
Some tips on finding magazines and crash sites.
foolee replied to nillie's topic in New Player Discussion
I have 300hr's into the game and I have only found 3 crash sites, 2 american and 1 russian. All were unlooted. The first american crash site I looted then got PK'ed while leaving. They are not easy to find. You also have to get fairly close to the crash site to see it. At least on my PC. The smoking crash site looks like someone has a camp fire lol. -

I would like to see fuel canister be able to store water. That way you could keep a sizeable amount of water at you base. If you steal it from someone your at a risk of poisoning yourself if you don't check it first.

Who still uses Mosin (+LRS) for range kills?!
foolee replied to MarchmelloMan's topic in General Discussion
I had a SKS, PU scope, upgraded to a Mosin, LRS, Comp now I have a AK101 Black, PSO-1, Suppressor, Ak74u buttstock Black, plus 2x black mags. In the event I die I think I'm going with a bow and becoming a fisherman. -
I like the idea of different shotgun rounds. But to add onto the idea I would also want tracer rounds. You should also be able to load single rounds into mags. So you could load a tracer round like every 3rd round in you mag. Or have a SxS with a slug in one barrel and buckshot in the other.

Realism, Immersion, there are many reasons not to have 3rd person.
-
This is true, many 3rd person games lock out/lack scopes and iron sights. It would be the price you pay for a better field of view. The whole eye in the back of your head things is cheap also. Being able to see whats behind you while in 3rd person. I only use backpacks that allow me to look over my shoulder's while in 1st person. I'm down for scrapping 3rd person all together.
-
I think a good compromise would be to lock camera perspective while connected to the server. Thus forcing people who use 3rd person to stay on it until disconnected. This would eliminate there 1st person aiming advantage in exchange for the 3rd person camera angles.
-
So you don't consider being able to see around corners and peek over fences in 3P a unintended exploit of the camera perspective?
-
Sunglasses could tint in 3rd person. It kinda has the same effect. Although IMO 3rd person should be band out right.
-
To each his own. By that logic the duping tricks are part of the game and not cheating either.
-
Not everyone, I don't play 3PP, only 1PP. 3PP imo is cheating and should just be removed out right. I was at the NWAF, I had climbed a noob tower by the fence to gain a area perspective, I was heli hunting(still very unsuccessfully). I hit "F" to climb down the ladder and my guy took a step and put his hands out in front of him. Talk about glitch death, naturally i died from the fall.

Is Intel really better? Are they finally playing by the rules after a long history of manipulating there clients and the public? Let the battle begin... :P

http://www.techpowerup.com/158534/new-windows-7-bulldozer-patches-available.html I will post this here as well. For anyone with a bulldozer SMT based AMD cpu there are two hotfixes for Windows 7. The first hotfix changes Windows scheduler code to assign new threads to waiting buulldozer modules first. The second hotfix disables core parking which nerfs performance on the architecture pretty nicely. Windows 8/8.1 already contain these hotfixes. My system specs are as follows. I had the following Phenom II X6 1045T @ 3.4ghz Asus CHVz 16Gb DDR3-1600 2x HD4670/512mb DDR3 (need replaceing) Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit My latest upgrade was a FX 8320e which I have overclocked to 4.0ghz on air on a nice low 1.25 vCore. I pulled the memory kit from my other system until I can afford 32Gb of DDR3-2400. I'm not sure about vid cards but Im going with 3 this time around(SLI or CrossfireX). I did notice a performance drop when I when to the newer proc. Fact is bulldozer single threading performance sucks. Even compared to the older Phenom II's. These patches did help me. I play at 1680x1050 normal detail. I average 24fps according to RazerCortex. Here are my launch commands, Set -cpuCount= 8 -exThreads= 8 -high -malloc=system -malloc=nedmalloc_bi -maxMem =8192 I'm personally waiting for the new rendered. As a Computer Engineering Technician I know a fair bit about computers to say the least, DX10/11 hardware support should make a nice difference. Keep in mind people that is a early ALPHA!. Performance improvements will come along. If not I want my money back. Edit: Running these two lines of text in a administrator level command prompt (CMD) will disable core parking on the current power profile. powercfg -setacvalueindex scheme_current sub_processor 0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583 100 powercfg -setactive scheme_current

I agree, except if you punch someone in the jaw there should be a chance to break it forcing him onto a soft foods diet, (Rice, spaghetti, beans, ect.) It works both ways. It only takes one good punch to break your hand or someones jaw.

For anyone running a AMD APU/FX processor and Window 7 there are two hot fixes that address performance problems. The first one changes the way windows schedules threads by assigning new threads to waiting modules first. The second update disables core parking in Windows 7. Windows 8 already has these hot fixes. Patch 1: http://hotfixv4.microsoft.com/Windows%207/Windows%20Server2008%20R2%20SP1/sp2/Fix387870/7600/free/441065_intl_x64_zip.exe Patch 2: http://hotfixv4.microsoft.com/Windows%207/Windows%20Server2008%20R2%20SP1/sp2/Fix391262/7600/free/441280_intl_x64_zip.exe note this only affect bulldozer based AMD cpu/apu's. These updates wont help your Phenom II.

I don't get why you'd play this over the mod?
foolee replied to scaramoosh (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
I stand corrected, I still see no need for a auto run key. Vehicles are here and more are coming. As mentioned use macro's a simple solution to a lack of auto run. -
Im gonna assume you ment GPU. That being said it currently runs on DX9c which puts fantastic hardware limitations on both the CPU and GPU. DX10/11 address these issues.
