Is anyone else having this problem? Me and a buddy had this happen to us 4 times today. We'd be running and all of the sudden both of our cursors would jerk in another direction and we wouldn't be able to do anything besides Alt+F4. We can't even bring up the game menu...And we reverted to where we were a few minutes ago and it happened at the exact same time four separate times. I apologize if this is the desync issue that I seen so many topics about, but nobody mentioned this happening in the first couple desync threads that I viewed, we both had desync issues earlier today, but this happened once inland today much earlier in our run. Then it happened along the shore 3 times in nearly the same exact place before we decided to call it a night. Any help or information that anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I'm glad you asked. My first death came out of nowhere. Actually, I was running down the stairs of the hospital in Berezino and you know what happened? I went straight through the wall broke my legs. But that wasn't what killed me. 3 or 4 zombies came to finish me off but were gunned down by an M4. Shortly after the same M4 was used to end my life.

Hmmm, in this case it looks like that Mosin was a more powerful force. -
Has anyone else encountered the 'amazing' bandits that camp Balota airstrip?

I'd like to say there were different types of players on DayZ, but most people are like this. Just run towards them zigzagging. 90% of anyone on dayz can't hit you. lol -
Had my first encounter with another player

What do you need help with? I can point you in the right direction for whatever loot you need to find. PM me your steam and I'll see if I can send you in the right direction! But don't worry not everyone is homicidal, just nearly everyone. -
Well Auto shops won't be added til vehicles are and I'm not sure I agree with the fast food idea. McDonalds can be dangerous freshly made, but less if their burgers were radioactive or something.

I love this idea. Anything to help get across the map a little bit faster is cool by me. Add in some road bikes that are really fast but don't do well on any type of ground besides paved or a mountain bike that isn't so fast but can conquer those monstrous hills. There actually isn't any threads about Bicycles or Bikes besides this one.

That's pretty awesome. It looks like they didn't want what you wanted to offer them. They either wanted your weapons or your life, either way they got what was coming to them. xd -
Just look in Berezino. I can find a Mosin in one of the bigger houses in the lower part of the city 6 out of 10 times.

Are you visible from the outside of the rock? or are you completely inside of it?

The servers aren't broken for everyone. I had the same exact problem that everyone else has been having, but turns out it was my connection and my buddy had the server problems but they went away after one time of playing. Also rubberbanding isn't fixed either. Me and my friend that I always play DayZ with both have never had the rubberbanding issue until last night and we had it four times at the exact same time. So it seems to me that the game is at different levels of playable for everyone. Atleast they are quickly fixing these problems unlike a lot of companies. I hope you get your server latency issues fixed, there might be some temp fixes you can go from your end.
-
I had the same problem. Just keep the gun until you find another one and swap it out in an office building or something. But like these other fellows said it is indeed ruined.
-
Yes of course. But why did it only start happening to me yesterday? Hasn't this been an issue since that game was released?
-
Nothing is really rare, some things are just harder to find or guarded by Bandits. The trickiest thing to find atleast for me is an M4. I haven't had any luck finding one, and the one I did find was glitched on top of a boat and I couldn't get it... bummer. But as for rare, not really,

I play for the zombies, even if there aren't very many... yet.

Just respawn.

Sounds like you ran into some heroes, not bandits. You lucky dog you.

I don't understand why everyone argues about it so much. There are multiple ways to play this game, but right now everything leans towards PvP. There is no arguing that, the only solution is to add more zombies to balance out the PvE with the PvP. Anyways, if you disagree just leave the thread be. The only reason there are so many of these threads is because instead of letting them die everyone needs to put their few words onto everyone of them. This thread should have died hours ago, but instead people just keep fighting about which way the game should be played. Well let me inform you that nobody is right. This game isn't just about PvP nor is it just about PvE. It is about creating your own story Nearly everyone of you that has complained about so many of these threads, you know what you did when you posted? You put it right back at the top of the list instead of letting it fall into the abyss of dead threads. There is no need to bash anyone because they want more PvE and less dying on the coast or if you just want to rid the game of zombies and play call of duty. Who really cares? Bashing one another over a game makes you all losers regardless of if you are murders(ingame) or not. -
I'm not sure that makes any more sense than ending up on the coast... How'd you get in the medical tent? Atleast spawning on the shore implies that you were shipwrecked. I'm not sure what spawning in a medical tent would mean at all. Also, you obviously don't play night servers so the flashlight is of no importance to you. But when you spawn in a night server and actually stay, the flashlight is a life saver. Do you have any idea how hard it is to see loot on the ground at night with no light?

I ran into a group of bandits who stopped me at gun point with a hiking backpack, no food, no water, just a shitty broken splitting axe. He killed me and my friend, you know what he said? "Sorry we had to, we are bandits." That's what is wrong with this thread. -
It is nice to know what a hero dresses like. Even though I still won't trust anyone wearing it. OH LOOK A HERO, oh nevermind he was a bandit in disguise. the rest of his 4 bandit friends just popped out the treeline and here they come!

How many people do you kill in a life on average?
Arciere replied to Mays (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
I think the only time I've ever came close to killing someone was at a military base, someone fully geared popped out of a door I was about to go into and I unloaded a full magazine of my FNX45 in his direction. But after I realized it was another player I stopped shooting, but his M4 did far too much damage and my buddy watching my position sniped him for killing me. Meh, I'd rather kill zombies. -

I agree 100%, my only problem is that its too risky to ever approach anyone you don't know considering that most people at this point have a KoS policy, but I've read a few of these posts and came to the conclusion there are plenty of people who play like me and are friendly. I just haven't met many ingame yet. They are all on the forums xd I agree, I think fixing some of the things that make the game boring now, will lower the rate of player killers(i call them this because bandits normally don't want to kill you, just take your stuff, and I haven't ran into a lot of bandits, just people who kill for fun) -

It's so easy to say in a zombie apocalypse that you'd kill anyone on site. But in all actuality, it would be easier to survive if you had multiple people searching the houses, etc. Anyways, human nature craves companionship regardless of gender of either person. Our morals aren't something that society taught us. The only time I can think of when people would start killing each other over zombies would be when the loot is very scarce, but you would definitely never kill your only chance of surviving on site. -

Even suggesting that the main idea of this game is killing zombies will get you bashed on any forum relating to DayZ. I agree that the ratio of bandits to friendly players is much larger than it should be, but your suggestions as realistic as they are won't help the situation. The few main things that need to be fixed in order to fix that ratio, would be. 1. More zombies. A fuck ton of zombies actually, if zombies were as dangerous as bandits or more so, people would team up instead of killing each other. 2. Stop the server jumping. If it was harder to find the loot, not everyone would be fully geared on every server and people might work together more. In the stage right now, it just doesn't make sense for people not to kill other players. There isn't a whole lot to do otherwise. There are a few things that you can do to help you survive. Stick to the tree lines or forests whenever possible, explore the north half of the map, there are quite a few good places up that direction, plus a majority of the players up there are in the same boat as you. You can also inspect towns or building before you loot them. Open doors and no zombies are a dead giveaway that its not worth your time.
