Well SVD is confirmed to be in development. I do hope we get a nice range of marksmen/sniper rifles. They brought an atmosphere of tension when you knew you could be shot from anywhere.

sounds like wasteland, except you have to run everywhere, like a really boring wasteland.

I think the AS50 should be added really far down the road when there is a central loot economy, where it could be made extremely rare (like the mountain dew was but even rarer). It could be a kind of throwback to the mod since it was the endgame in that. It is in limited use with navy SEALS and maybe SAS. Both American and British militaries seem to have been present (along with Russians), so i suppose it could make sense on a very rare scale.

I would like to see the helicopter crashsites from the mod brought back. The were a great addition and seeing the black smoke changed your approach to the game. It brought some more variety to the wilderness.

there were 3-5 on the whole map, and that spanned from zub to devils in every field.

the player crashsites would be like the mod, people would ignore them as they would likely have no loot. And i did use the search function and there are no threads i could find on this forum.

It would have to explode, but i like it. The kind of survival kit turned deadly that this game needs.

both are pretty much confirmed. They said yes to balaclavas and goggles have already been modeled. There would have been a huge military presence. -
perhaps they should make it like there was a forest fire and you are walking through burnt out woods.

you're blowing this way out of proportion. They had helicopters in the mod, and it wasn't really a problem. Admittedly, it was pretty easy to find bases but the M240s were hard to use accurately against moving targets and were easily taken down by machineguns.

there was a war in chernarus involving the USMC. Some of which were using M4A1s.

I have never understood why people wanted sniping completely removed, it has the potential to be one of the most skillful mechanics in the game. Particularly if you want Dayz to feel like a hostile environment where you could be killed from anywhere. When private hives are properly customisable, making sniping hard is probably the only thing stopping dayz from becoming complete deathmatch.

zombies need more HP, one shot with an M4 is dull, people are complaining about the ammunition abundancy because we never get to fire our weapons.

this would make sniping less of a cheap thing and more of a legitimate way to play.

M240s weren't that OP. you could pretty easily avoid them. I think helicopters should be FP only. To prevent all bases being found in 10 seconds.

maybe after important things are added they could put this in. I think that very few should spawn (maybe 300) when there is the central loot economy.

This would increase immersion to no end, if there's gonna be useless loot, it makes sense to have a few realistic but for the most part useless buildings to add to the scene. -
I know this has been talked about but i wanted to see the whole opinion of the community (hence the poll). Fists are way more effective than weapons such as a crowbar or a baseball bat. This doesn't make any sense to me and i am fed up of being knocked unconscious by someone i just hit in the head three times with a crowbar. It would be a simple change and i would rather weapons were more effective as opposed to making fists less so.

I think having random locked doors would be good too, particularly if it meant that better loot spawned inside, imagine going to balota on a high pop server and risking breaking down a door. -
I agree almost completely, but i think that Mi8s would be the most common variant of chopper.

AK12 are you mad, it is a prototype. the M107 makes more sense as it would be used for checkpoints.
