    So what are you going too do? Run around and loot, avoiding everything and then loot some more, that is a rubbish idea.

    We already have an M4A1 and have had it since release. I would love a full size MP5 and i resent the fact they added an ill suited MP5K instead (nobody likes it and it's too rare and useless not too mention the fact that it isn't used anywhere near as much as the full MP5), MP7 isn't likely at all, AKS74U is being added shortly, M40A3 would be nice but i fell an M24 would be more suited, G17 is a must and an M1014 shotty would be pretty sweet.
  3. URAL-4320 toyota hilux Land rover defender UAZ-469 UAZ, land rover and humvee to be able to be stripped down and to mount gunner positions on them. E.G. Obviously not with the AT launchers and stuff but an idea of stuff you could attach/detach, like spare wheels, bags, etc

    The problem with using the road as inspiration (as cool of a film it was) is that it would be pretty boring realistically, if everyone went around with one bullet each looting for food and the looting some more for food nobody would have fun. This doesn't make for a good game as since combat would be non-existent and you wouldn't feel threatened, which kind of ruins the dayz atmosphere. The main problem is, however, the rarity of mags for pistols. This means pistols are less accessible than rifles and they become obsolete.

    9x39mm is much more relevant so if anything I would like to see that as it allows for AS VALs and VSS vintorezs amongst others. 8mm would still be great and the kar98k above all else has a place in DayZ.

    Nukes are completely different. An MG is realistic, fit in to the scenario and can be balanced. They aren't complete death machines. Plus I back the idea of an MG3

    The humanity system never really worked, you always ended up killing people regardless of play style and so even heroes ended up as bandits
  9. A huge emphasis of DayZ is getting a better weapon and gaining an edge in survival. At the moment, as stated by l4yue, there is very little variation and you either have a good weapon or a borderline useless one. Plus if Dayz SA becomes anywhere near as good as the mod was at first then it is a success in my eyes.
  10. Well 5.45x39 is confirmed! Here's hoping we get the AK74M as well as the AKS74U.

    I don't think a regular RPG-7 would be anywhere as accurate as that, but that is an improved variant from the Russians. The regular warhead is unpredictable and inaccurate.

    I've heard that RPGs are inaccurate as hell and have a tendency to spiral off, plus the can be defeated be a mesh cage. This makes them ideal as they wouldn't ruin gameplay. Also, AMRs are specialty weapons and as long as that is reflected rather than the death machines from the mod then yeah, why not.
  13. SKS is good, no doubt but I always thought it lacked the ability for continuous fire due to it's 10 round clip. Using an M4 with a 30rnd mag and an ACOG sight you can shoot further and shoot faster than an SKS, outgunning them. Be honest if you had to take a gun based on the effectiveness of the two, would it be the SKS or the M4?
  14. Yes again with the playstyles and the judgement. What am i forcing on the playerbase? I am simply saying having a military weapon and camo is advantageous, my playstyle isn't mentioned. I could deathmatch on the coast, be a hero or roam NWAF. You don't know how i play, so stop judging. And by my kind you mean people who get full military gear right? So 90% of players?
  15. Would be nice if they ever do implement winter, you could layer up. I'm thinking limit the slots of underlayers and decrease mobility with more layers.
  16. You would be more effective with an M4. You could be just as good as someone else who has an M4 when you have a sporter, that makes you better not the sporter. And end game is considered as the best of all. I am not talking about all players with M4s are better than those without (using the M4 as an example idk if you like AK variants better) I am talking about players being better off with an M4. Effective range of the sporter is 100m (if you are decent) the M4 you can shoot up to 400 if using magpul. Just FYI, I haven't used an M4 in months i just consider that, or any other similar weapon superior to, say, a sporter. Apparently that makes me a CoD kid. Same deal with clothes, wear an orange raincoat if you wish, it doesn't make you a worse player (I haven't been judging anyone's skills, only some are judging mine) but there's less chance of somebody seeing me in my camouflage (that is the reason militaries use camo btw, because it is advantageous). By the end game gear the OP means the best stuff you can get or should be able to get. A very inconclusive 'there is no end game' doesn't give any idea of what higher tier equipment you would like, this renders your point useless and invalid since you completely misunderstood the topic and epitomizes the divide on the forum people like to create between the so called 'cod kids' who opt for mil gear, and 'survivors' going for civ clothing. Why can't we just accept peoples choices without judgement?
  17. No but that is the end game gear. To have a good weapon that is second to none. I.E. comparing an M4A1 to an SKS.
  18. Because clothes change nothing yet and guns are a large part of survival but oh no having an assault rifle makes me a cod kid.
  19. We aren't talking about clothes, stop grouping people who like military weapons with cod kids. Wearing full military gear is camouflaging so i'm sorry if that makes me a cod kid instead of wearing civilian dress. What we are saying is that endgame shouldn't be a semi auto nor is it now.

    Would ammo be hard to come by? I doubt it considering how much the soviets made. The drum mags would be used in RPKs so they would be fairly common although since there is no RPK they should be made more scarce.
  21. a semi auto isn't end game gear. End game gear is the best you can get. AKA an AR/sniper/MG At release, it should be a weapons stockpile, vehicles and bases.

    If you had a grenade launcher then you would obviously use it and it will likely be helo crashsite only so i wouldn't worry to much.
