This has spawned a pretty nice discussion, similarly earlier I went back to NEAF,I'd been heading West but a friend wanted to swap my Mosin for his M4, and as I passed through I went into a Barracks and saw 2 guys in there,well armed with full military gear. I was tempted to just pistol whip them,they were in separate rooms but my conscience prevailed and I went the other way. Running like a little girl scared they would see me and shoot me in the back of the head ;) But now I have no reason to visit a military post again given my new M4 and vast supply of ammo. Time to play nice...as long as they have no gun.

Well huf it wasn't exactly as I described it, it was more I shot he ran towards me so I kept shooting. But I'm one for dramatisation. The only times I have encountered other players in the past few weeks is when they have done as I did (failed to do),and put a bullet in the back of my head. I generally ignore other players unless they are essentially in my way.

What do you not understand Victus? Do you not understand why I shot him? I shot him because others shoot me. I'd like a world where people aren't afraid to approach each other, but I'm not the guy to make that first step.

I have never found anything in the little wooden houses,the ones with two rooms and one door. Never,ever....ever. But the military tents are a far more important spawn point than some random houses. I am looking forward to what loot we'll get in the police station.

Sounds like they are going about it the wrong way, so if I leave a server because I connected to a night or hardcore one accidentally I'll have to wait?

Talk about yourself, if I don't have a gun and I have 4+ zombies coming at me I get worried, if I have a revolver and there are more than 6 I'm in trouble if I have no speed loader.

I've actually found the recent zombie increase quite awful,they've caught me off guard a number of times and surviving is at times a challenge. Whilst I still want to see loads in the major towns I would say the smaller places like Kamushovo have a decent amount now.

Shohu & Token both went out of their way to patch me up and gave me plenty of saline, Great guys,great service.

A. Your in game name. Major Tom B. What medical attention you need Bandaging and blood transfusion. I basically got hit by one too many walkers and have been running through buildings looking for something to turn into rags but,to no avail. C. Your location. One of the residential houses of Balota. D. and a general description of your character. Standard military uniform with a red beret,wielding a shotgun. I hope someone can save me at some point later. I cannot stress how close I am to death,totally bleeding out.

I don't even mind being KOSed that much...I only hate it when it's a one shot kill and Im given no chance of escaping or fighting back.

I generally KOS other players just for my own safety,I don't hunt them and don't shoot them if they haven't seen me already. Funny story though, yesterday there I was strolling through the Hills west of Berezino when I see 6 figures running up the hill towards me,I immediately realise they are Zombies but the closest is a player...it is a man with a gun in his hands...with a burlap sack on his head running straight at me with 5 zombies behind him. I immediately popped a round in his head and one in each of the zombies with my M4. Turns out he didn't even have bullets,or a melee weapon. But the burlap sack made me think he was a psychopath.

Although,one point worth considering is what if the dev team in small patches simply changed the primary area for loot spawning to cause players to congregate in certain areas. So for a week the NWAF would be useless but then suddenly brimming with gear again. I know this isn't as easy as it sounds but I'm sure a mechanic could be engineered.

It's ridiculous, the tents should be the best place to find army clothing really if not weapons.

Or,maybe it was a coincidence. Maybe he simply was ready to go off or joining a server with some friends on and didn't want to kill you before he left. How can you be so arrogant?

A few weeks ago I found a pristine copy of Magna Carta,if anyone comes across this rare out of place chronicle I will pay for it...with like,bullets and food and stuff.

Well...it's magic. Just do it and stop argueing!

Thankfully I have nothing to fear, didn't play for about 2 weeks before the patch so I quite happily have my M4 with Acog,Buis sight,some other close range scope,a bayonet,silencer,flashlight,MAGPUL buttstock and grip,the multi item grip and almost 500 rounds of ammo across several 60 round mags.

Well once I was in the barracks and I dropped dead :S But nothing creepy I am afraid. By the way what jacket is your character wearing?

I'm talking about little things like leg and under-arm holsters, utility belts, head torches that can be worn with hats or attached to helmets, Bandolier's. And there are many more things but these are just the ones which come to mind at the moment. Are any of these items on the way and are there any little things you'd like to see added?

I've done it twice, the first time I randomly died when I'd gotten my perfect gear from hopping, the second time I ended up executed with a bullet to the back of the head, karma has told me it is a bad thing to do.

If it was cold and you lied on the floor chest down you would stay warmer because the heat would get trapped between your body and the earth.

I made my way through the nw airfield today and found M4a1,RIS grip,red dot scope,silencer,bayonet,4x60 round mags,4x 40 round mags,in addition I have an ammo box with 240 rounds and 30 revolver rounds. all from one trip. oh and I found a long range scope for a Mosin and every item for my M4 is pristine.So no,just because he had full gear does not make him a server hopper. I do admit though that the server reset shortly before I arrived.

This sounds like a brilliant idea! Would you like to play on the -=[ Elysium ]=- PRIMETIME server? Absolutely, this sounds like the DayZ experience I've been waiting for. Would you like to join the -=[ Elysium ]=- PRIMETIME staff? No but I would like to try out being an event actor. What other features would you like to see on the -=[ Elysium ]=- PRIMETIME server? Commodities, I would love to have to trade a bag of rice for a bandage, or a handgun for another few magazines. Would you even be willing to pay for a server like this? If yes, how much are you willing to pay per month? I have issues which forbid me from using PayPal so an alternate payment system would be good,well with 80 monthly users (?) and a server which I presume costs £30-40 (A 200 slot M&B server costs £30-40) then that would be 50p per person,which almost seems too low. But I don't know how much a server costs so... To be honest I think if you request donations you will get some,maybe not enough but it depends on how well you advertise.
