With a Mosin with compensator and long range scope whilst lieing down and having as steady breath as possible it should not be much of a challenge. And 200 meters really isn't that far,though in hindsight it might not have been that far.

The other day my group and I had a good opportunity to test out both grenades. Two insurgents on the 1st floor of Vybor jail building who were waiting for us, we first throw in a frag grenade which kills one in a MASSIVE explosion, though the other right next to him survives oddly. We then threw in the flashbang which successfully blinded him, but that it went off at all wasn't obvious. So I'd say they both have work to be done.

I wasn't looking for a sword but I wouldn't turn one down. I have 1 AK74 magazine which your looking for, however I'm sure there are others who are more eagerly searching for the sword than I so I don't mind sitting this one out.

Many persistent servers seem bugged and spawn a horrendous amount of rifles, just go into any barracks, Vybor is a safe bet and you should find one. Magazines however are rarely so easy.

I'm afraid to say I fell victim to one of the many Alpha events of Dayz. Was switching backpacks (in a persistent server nonetheless) and as I moved in all my items, including all manner of pristine M4 attachments and SMG mags....the server reset. The one item amongst hundreds of items of loot that didn't respawn of course was my former backpack. Sorry :/

I do have one (got it at a russian heli crash site) but it's currently on my AK. If you can find an M4 we can talk, I've got the ammo for one already.

Hmm, what is my role? I'm a Cherno-Russian Ranger. The official description of which is "A PMC group who have been hired by the russian government to hunt and kill all survivors so they can cover up the apocalypse with a nuclear event." So I suppose my role is to kill everyone I see without question. But generally we only fight if we have to, often hunting squads teams of heavily armed players in a deadly game of cat and mouse. But we always try to take them captive and give them a dignified death by firing squad, or offer them a way out of it. Through trivia or some challenge.

I was on a server which had some odd problems yesterday, the admin I believe kept restarting it and I'd been at a heli site when this first happened, it roughly reset or something every 2 minutes and the helicopter spawn remained the same. In that time, I stayed on throughout 5 of these odds resets I looted the same crash site 5 times with fresh loot. The only worthy thing in those 5 crashes was an AK scope.

I thought this had been knocked out a couple of patches back but right now as my man crouches ingame, he has a hunting backpack with a SPOSN backpack in, this contains amongst other things two high capacity vests which are also fully loaded, one even has some TTSKO with full pockets. Was this bug ever sorted or is it back with a vengeance? (Oh and I've grabbed the extra gear for a couple of friends, I'm not a nasty hoarder, well only a bit.)

Thanks for the answers chaps. And in my defence, I feel there is a difference between the exploit simply to get the gear to a friend and doing it to give yourself a ridiculous amount of stuff, But hey ho.

From my 5ish hours playing this patch, died early on in a firefight losing my fully geared chap. Whoops. But I've actually found this patch an absolute pleasure to play. The latest shotgun is reasonably easy to find alongside ammo and I've not found food to be an issue either. Possibly I've just been lucky but I'm coming across players more recently too. Sorry to say that Shotgun I found came off the back of another player but I've found good loot in the new cities, but never too much good loot. I'm actually finding fire axes in fire stations though maybe a few too many and even NWAF tent loot seems balanced. A nice mix of basic military gear and bits of ammo here and there. Not found a truck yet but petrol cans seem to be spawning at a good balanced rate. What do you think? Is this finally the patch that has made the game enjoyable?
