There is a big error in the OP post. Arma is the only game where vsync must be set ON to improve frames. Proof: arma veteran, been in many Clans, Teams, and i'm a modder too.

you must be new to arma not to know the faction system...you can add all the faction you want in game, instead the possibilititi to group up is not possible. you could still see player name on the map...but...this is not good.

You don't have to see like during day. You need to spot figures.

I am a bandit not for choice , but because everytime i tried to make friend i get shooted at. So i learned one simply rule as a solitary man i was. Trust no one and kill if necessary/hide/spot/recon/move stealthy/kill/kill. First of all i teamed up in teamspeak. This changed the rul of engagement. Now is : kill everything that moves with intelligence/moves stealthy. My idea is this. Factions. Let the people who join servers to choose a faction. Like in other shooters. Everyfaction has a certain area of spawn but they could still kill each other because this is a milsim. Once factions, it will be a lot more easy to team up, for those of the few newbies that don't understand that teamspeak/mumble is a necessity in ARMA. Once this, it's done. Factions wars, Guards at critical points, city attack! Most important thing, no respawn, meaning that once you die you start with the makarov, in random place of your set spawn place that could be in one half of the map. Think about it. You will met the casuals needs but also not make the veterans sad.

You keep posting about bandits as you call them, being a problem then you're not playing this "game" properly. Most of all, if you don't have teamspeak and want to survive you need to assume that everyone you spot is potential killer. This is a game a bout surviving and it's very realistic. Arma is not your LEVEL-UP game neither is a game of instant gratification. It's also labeled 18+ age. Blood and gore, violence, use of drugs, etc etc. So instead of nerfing pvp, you're new to arma? check your age with your ID. You're new to Arma? learn to move - Learn to recon and spot, it's where the fun of this game is. If you see someone and you aren't in the same team speak channel, then it's a foe. GO HIDE. The mod will always be alive... Now that being said that the effort to do dayz mod is not comparable to ACE AND ACRE mod, that are free. That being said that there are thousand of awesome mods. Why we should pay?

To all the people that are new to ARMA...there are other zombie mod out there, there is a gta mod, there is a predator mod, and these are just 4 of about 7000+ mod you can find here http://www.armaholic.com/ Dayz mod required no effort compared to ACE and ACRE, and many others. Don't buy the mod fuck.
