Somehow i think it was a bad decision to make a 32 bit Version of Win7. It was ok at times of Vista, but Win 7 would have been just right to make a straight cut and bury 32 bit Windows. Now we have 32 bits even with Win 8 and the trouble and extra work for developers and users will continue for many years. But of course it´s all about the money for Microsoft. They want to sell as much copies as possible, even for old PC´s or outdated software.

It becomes an even more shitty game?

Sorry, max 27 vs max 52 just due to an SSD can´t be a valid measurement. There must have been something wrong. It´s too much work, otherwise i would test it myself. Anyway, i have no problem when people are buying SSDs ;)
-
The only thing a faster storage can do is improve loading times, in no way it can help to calculate graphics or gamemechanics. I see this as two different things. Of course it can raise the average fps a little due to shorter stutters. But if it stutters a lot you have a problem anyway. I don´t want stutters be it short or long. So in this case i would think about more ram, reduced quality settings, better pc or misconfiguration of any kind

Yes, clean install is the best thing you can do and all should be ok. But when just using a migration tool or installing the SSD as a further mass storage you better run the performance index. "I was geting periods of seconds of inactivity in Svetlo, and it was a stuttery clusterfuck at best" If you have the last official drivers for your NVIDIA card installed, try the 337.50 beta driver. There was a problem which causes pauses/freezes of up to 5 seconds or so, at least on my GTX670. It is gone with the 337.50s.

He means disabling it it! The only thing you should really do is running the performance index (don´t know the exact english term) then Win7 recognices the new storage device as an SSD and should deactivate defrag (schedule) and activate trim. Normaly theres nothing more you need to do, except maybe checking that these things are set correct. The other things kichilron mentions are not really necessary. What people are trying to do is to reduce writing access to the SSD to get less wear and longer lifetime. But with some more years of experience we know that longevity is in general no problem. And actually Win 7 is perfectly tailored for SSDs.

I´m a SSD user myself and of course the Samsungs rock  But to be honest it doesn´t do much on the fps. An SSD will improve loading times and stutters can be a little shorter when you have HDD access while gaming but the gameplay and graphics itself is the job of GPU und CPU. I´ve experienced myself that the performance of the game can be very different from one time to another. It may depend on how many players are on the server and in the vicinity of you, how many loot is still lying around, weather and so on. Like said, an SSD does nothing to your fps at least if you don´t have massive disk access while gaming, but that would be a problem anyway.

What if someone beats you unconscious in the 30 sec period and takes your gear? Would you be alive when logging back in?

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
lauda replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
Glitching is possible for everyone and very many players are doing it. Not everyone of course, but how can i know? Anyway, the glitchers are not the problem and i don´t blame anyone of them. The problem is that it is possible! -

When i´m aware that someone has an unfair advantage using exploits and i know how to equate that advantage then i will do it! I´m not going to let me kill just because i´m a do-gooder. The solution is to fix the exploits and not beeing a naive dumbass. Yes, i´m dreaming of the full immersion. Looking through walls and getting killed by players falling from the sky or sitting in a wallglitch is not the full immersion. Even killing other players in a survival game is not the full immersion. Not to forget! ;) -

Check the correct answer: O Total time played 1 hour O naive O blind Sorry, but there are hackers and i´ve encountered real(!) hackers more than once. But i wouldn´t say using exploits is hacking. Looking through walls or even poking a weapon and shoot through walls is possible without any additional help. Not nice, but everyone who knows how is doing it. There are some more things you can do just using exploits, but that´s not hacking. Real hackers and a lot of exploits, sad but true. -

Are you the orange boonie guy? Or did you get killed > running to Chaapaevsk>getting killed>running back..............? I don´t want to keep anyone from coming to Chapaevsk to help, but i find it a bit suspicious. Would be a good trick to get some victims ;-) -
I´m using the 332.21 drivers for my GTX 670. Any newer driver gives me random freezes for 5 seconds or so. In happens more in towns then in the fields or forest. Also the occurance seems to depend on some video settings. But can´t figure out which one. So for now i have to use the 332.21 drivers.

I´ve just been way in the north and there was a large field without grass. May be Mr. "Hey there" was up there playing singleplayer with your sickle :o -
Hm, when you see "Please wait" on your screen you are already visible on the server and ready to get killed. But you said that you saw that guy running towards you? Anyway, in many cases you simply can´t be sure if you got simply killed, hacked or bugged. There are hackers, that´s for sure, but also many problems that are caused directly or indirectly by the unfinished game. Don´t think about it too much, you would have died anyway eventually :-)

Normally a biker helmet is a really good protection against fists. Without helmet you can get unconscious with one hit, but usualy it takes muuuuuch more to get killed even without helmet. Yeah, Sounds suspicious...........
