Saw this in another forum and tried it with the buid in benchmark of GTA V. I couldn´t see an increase there and i suspect there is also no advantage in DayZ. Too high CPU or GPU utilization isn´t really an issue in Dayz. Sadly most of the time it´s around 30% or something like that :( But every system is different, so try it. Which Videocard would you buy in the future? Intel IGP? :huh:

Crazykage, i´ve seen some hackers and they were doing things like teleporting, flying, magically takeing stuff from my inventory, hitting me from the distance and more. But your description doesn´t sound like hacking. He could have guessed you have no ammo and he could have checked your pulse while near you to know your name and the whole soundthing is buggy anyway. And there would be no need to chase and fight with you. He could teleport or simply hit you with his axe or fists from like 50m away.

Yes, beside other survivors, acrylamide is the only real threat in Chernarus. :rolleyes:

Just played a few hours on exp/1st person starting as a freshie. Yes it´s hard, but you can find enough to survive. Searching for berries, apples, later hunting or fishing and there is still canned food, kiwis and bananas lying around (inland). I can´t see the reason not to work for your food and just get lot of canned food out of nowhere in the apocalypse. And after some time me and my buddy also had weapons with some ammo and decent clothing. This is a game about a zombie apocalypse and survival in Chernarus and not the garden of Richie Rich. I hope in the future the game will be more like this than in the past ( fully fed and geared in 15 minutes).

Survival = getting over-fed from canned food in 3 minutes and fully geared with 2 primary weapons + pistols and the whole backpack full of ammo in further 10 minutes! Not? At least this is still in the heads of many people ;)

Of course many things are still not as they should be, but in general apocalypse does not mean "land of milk and honey". I had hard times as well, but could always manage to stay alive by picking berries and apples, and later i found just enough other stuff. It´s also not too easy to get fully geared at the moment. But are we playing a game because it is easy or because it is hard?

Sorry for that, but this question (missing servers) is coming every wednesday since 9 months or so. Actually it took very long today B) I was close to post it myself :lol:
