DayZ's current medical system has a firm base to improve on. I can see the future of DayZ's medical system being nicely developed and being a moderate necessity to the survival of players. Below are suggestions to improve on: Excessive Bleeding: When bandages are not enough to stop more dramatic blood loss, a homemade tourniquet could be crafted using of a strip of t-shirt and a screw driver or a manufactured tourniquet that can only be found in medical institutions. The tourniquets would only be temporary until the affected area can be cleaned and dressed properly. Broken Bones: If a player breaks a bone, other players can have the option to reset the bone and/or carry the injured player over long distances if necessary. Braces and slings can be crafted or scavenged to improve the rehabilitation process of the injured player. Broken bones can compromise the players ability to use two-handed weapons such as axes, baseball bats, and assault rifles. Sickness/Infection/Disease: Sickness can be contracted from scavenged items, players, or opened wounds that have not been treated. The type of illness contracted is dependent on the players symptoms (coughing, vomiting, constant moaning, etc.). Players could use different blood testing instruments to test a sick players blood to find out what the sick player is infected with. Players could have the option to quarantine other sick players to prevent the disease from spreading or wear respirators. As a precaution, players can use the disinfectant spray to lower the chances of contracting an illness. Though these are only a few suggestions, Hopefully they can be improved.
