Also try to leave a copy of those 2 files on the desktop and in the game folder (not the BE one). I know it has no damn sense, but when I had similar problems with some servers on the mod, that worked for me...trying is free. I'll think about this over night but atm I don't have a clue of what is causing your problem :( Let's hope somebody has an idea!

And after that rice/milk, if you have soda drinks, use those before fulling with water. That's because it has also an energy value and it is a good compromise between getting hydrated and getting food. Anyway canned foods also contain a small quantity of water. You should try to get healing/healt with those and with time and patience. This is not a game for a real idiot prof of answer :)

Loot spawns only at server restart at the moment. Server architecture and performance are still a WIP, so they can't afford loot or zeds respawn...for now. We'll see what the final sistem will be :)

And the two are in a very very different stage of development. I hope you didn't get a wrong idea of this standalone...it is really in alpha. The mod was the idea, the standalone will be the result. But the mod is finished (yes, a mod is never finished, blablabla), the standalone still misses most of the core features. HUD anyway will likely not be one of those. Welcome to DayZ. Edit: that's also why this forum has the main sections "DayZ" and "DayZ Mod". The second one is for the arma II mod that started everything, some years ago.

If you are interested in my opinion (true, not just a word), use the damned search function :D But, if you want the short version: this game is now about banditry only because core features are missing and you should understand that playing the mod. This will be a sandbox game. Fear of the other in this terms is what makes this game better than any other, so I don't get why removing it. But, in my opinion, you can do whatever you want in a dedicated hive for this tipe of gameplay. A separate hive is obviously necessary. Will the devs create a public hive just for this gameplay? I hope not and I doubt it.

I doubt it. Remember that this is Chernarus, remember the story of Chernarus (from Arma II) and you'll see that american gear presence is justified. I don't know if the idea of the intel could ever bee implemented, but maybe we will see again random heli crash sites, like in the mod.

I'm not a dev, but I will answer you. The suggestions you made are already a WIP. The people working on modeling, programming, fixing, etc are not the same. So there will be content updates without consistent fixes and vice versa, because they do work separately as it should be. Complaining about this is non-sense. They are focusing in server performance right now, so maybe we'll have to wait more - who knows. When they are asked in ETA they normally answer you "when it is ready"...so, for now when it this ready. Follow twitters and news on this forums to have a chance of know more, when and if they will tell more about what you want to know.

First thing is an idea that the devs already have: we will see if this will be possible. Before that they have to finish zombies and to finish server architecture and optimisation for sure, in order to increase their numbers, so we're talking of several months (I guess). Second one, base building, this is already in the road map. We don't know what this will be, if there will be things from the mod or completely new ideas or hopefully both. This seems to be a priority for the dev team, I guess we'll see something soon (in terms of development). Last thing...search around the forums and read before suggesting, you might be writing things discussed multiple times :)

With "beta" you mean the mod? Yes, there are less zeds than in the mod. This is because of server architecture (and thus performance) - it is still a WIP. They are working on zeds, more tipes just came out and I think much more is around the corner. Anyway, in the final release, according to devs declarations, we will have lot of zombies. We just have to wait. Finally...yes, I find these zombies far far better (in terms of scaring) than the mod ones, so I partially get your point, but there is still a lot of work to be done and we'll judge in a year or so :)

Permanent stuff is coming, Rocket stated this multiple times. When? Nobody knows yet. Could be today, could be a month...or more. But as far as I understood is quite a priority. What? We have ideas, but no securities. Maybe tents, probably backpacks, maybe stashes, maybe other buildings in later development...who knows. Be patient :)

I hope something similar never comes to the game, but I know many would like to have this. Obviously a similar server must be on a separate hive (private or not does not matter)...but I really can't get the fun of not having "fear", in a game like DayZ :)
