Hulk zombie. The devblog is about releasing 0.45 to stable...yes, it has required a lot of time, but...now 0.45 is on stable, so wth are you complaining about? :/ You should keep trolling in other topics, where it might be more comprehensible.

I never played a Steam game before this one

He wrote it, it is written in the quote. "Once base building and vehicles [...]". Almost every former mod player is waiting for peristence/storage. That creates a different experience. -
As usual, just speculations and guesses, nothing confirmed. When asked, Hicks just replied "boom", wich might mean "something big", "you'll be surprised", "I don't want to tell you", "explosives", "whatever" and you can choose to guess what you prefer :) Anyway, the push was delayed from yesterday because they were working on something security related, so that's the only about to be sure thing, but it is not content.

0.45 is on stable since wednesday late afternoon (Europe). 0.46 is supposed to be released on experimental today, but they might not do it.

If my game uninstalled on it's own I would start thinking about it... Might it be a sing of something?

Apparently they also removed the "read the topic" and "read the news" functions from the internet with this patch!! I can't test now, but I hope that the rubberbanding you experienced was just like the occasional one that is also on stable and has nothing to do with the previous 0.45's one...

Didn't you? It was a good deal! Anyway, it seems to me that you should choose a server with low ping and not too full to wander about a bit without too much stress server side (that can cause you to lag) to check the game and learn some basics :) Read these forums also, on the news sections you can read about the updates! -
I'm a fan of night too, but the fact is that at the moment night is barely playable. Too many find ways to "gamma cheat", lights pass through all surfaces (including walls) and currently there are only few means of artificial light. And you can't sneak away from zombies. Give it time, probably in some months night will be worth to play.

I have mic, but I talk only when: 1) I desire to do so 2) Don't have too much fear of the person I meet 3) I am roleplaying/doing the idiot/not playing seriously 4) I don't bother somebody else (given that I don't live alone) The rest of the time I contribute to this kind of suggestions, shooting fresh spawns in the chest without a reason and without a warning. What I mean is that forcing people to have the hardware to talk doesn't force them to talk when they meet somebody. Neither forces them to talk before they shoot. And I consider it pointless. As IRL talking is a possibility, not something you are forced to do - and this is meant to be a sandbox game. If you don't want to talk, then don't do it. KOS will maybe become less predominant as the game evolves and becomes feature complete, but will always be a part of it. Dean with it.

Some servers (some UK ones) in the past days seemed to be on a different hive...so it might just have been an old toon of yours.

One of the last characters used is always loaded on the background of the main menu, so this kind of errors happen ;)

I doubt it. What is holding the update back is the rubberbanding issue. They haven't pushed a solution to the experimental branch yet, and personally I doubt that if a solution is ready they would push it directly to stable without prior testing. But there are still several hours of work for them today, and nobody really knows at what point they are with the rewriting the problematic area.

The engine is beeing modified regularly in order to create this game...I wouldn't say is old anymore.

Guys, be serious. This is a great devblog, we should all agree. The thing I like the most about it is the "from now on devblogs will not be weekly anymore but posted only when possible" one. There's finally some good self-aknowledgement behind that one! Sorry, I put sarcasm off now but I had to write it :D It seems like the future is bright, but...I don't think that the next patch will be so meaty, I guess we'll have to wait for the June/July one in order to see some of the first game changers. But the future is definitely looking good...even if it is just a drawing, with nothing touchable yet. -
Are melee weapons supposed to do no damage or are zombies just very resistant?

The damage taken from melee by zeds has been decreases by an error in the current patch. It has already been solved for the next one, that we should see at the end of the month. As suggested, headshots for the win at the moment. -
But others can see it, so do it only if left alone...or you will be get killed, probably!

Do not keep every setting on very low - it will completely drop the work on the CPU, increasing drammatically the bottleneck you are trying to overcome. I suggest you to read the optimisation setting guides on these forums.

There aren't experimental servers up atm. We don't know when those will be up, I personally hope they'll start today but that's just hope. The exp branch has been down since the last stable update but in the few bits we managed to see...there are AKM and P1 pistol. They have tested loot respawn for one night and the 64 bit server. We don't know anything else, except that the exp branch should come up soon.

Where did you heard and what did you heard? If you saw this map with cars maybe it was Chernarus plus map imported in Arma III. Anyway, cars have to be expected at the end of Q3 and in Q4, according to the roadmap, that might change. -
Damn guys, it' s a game and you need the damn can opener. Can anybody accept this? And can anybody accept that every company makes their food containers they want them to be? I never used a can opener in my life, but that's it, in Chernarus you either use a can opener, or cans open you (because of the Chernarussian inversion).

You will not get banned for having an hacked in item. Anyway, throw it in the sea or in a bush and change server ;)
