Hulk zombie. The devblog is about releasing 0.45 to stable...yes, it has required a lot of time, but...now 0.45 is on stable, so wth are you complaining about? :/ You should keep trolling in other topics, where it might be more comprehensible.

Check back in a few hours, the update is being deployed to experimental while we write, so it is not confirmed yet. But it will probably be fixed with this update.

It is a prototype, something that they want to introduce but that they haven't really created yet...what we have now is completely bugged. Not sure if they will remove it completely and redoit or if they already have a working solution. So who knows, maybe in the not so near future...but it would present some serious design problems (the beat rate is the key, so...). I haven't read about heart beat from the devs anyway.

He wrote it, it is written in the quote. "Once base building and vehicles [...]". Almost every former mod player is waiting for peristence/storage. That creates a different experience. -
That's what we're trying to understand here... Same for me, as I posted yesterday, but I don't understand if Accolyte is saying that this is how it is supposed to be or if he didn't understand what we were underlining (because he talked about damage, wich is not the point). I'm not a native english speaker so I can lack of proper explanation sometimes, or maybe he read only the other posts. Maybe somebody could quote him so that he can come here and give us a clearer answer (if he has one) Btw he's giving a great support to this community. Anyway, the pellet description says 9, and before it shot 9...now is 1, that's for sure.

I picked a shotgun up yesterday evening (EU) on the experimental branch because I wanted to test it again and still experienced the same problem Bororm might be referring to: The shotgun just shots one pellet instead of 9. The damage of that pellet seems to be normal (one hit to the head of a zed drops it dead, to the lower body doesn't), but it's just one and it is pretty useless considering what it should do shooting shells. It has been like that for a while, afaik.

The problem is simple: why you should be in disadvantage playing the game as it should be played and not glitching before entering the building? And what if you spot an honest player inside the building (and not a glitcher)...who is "cheating" now? What has been seen cannot be unseen, you know. And in a game about survival, risk and strong emotions...isn't simply shitty knowing what's inside a building before even entering it? Glitching through walls can be a big immersion breaker and for those who don't exploit these things a serious disadvantage...and you never know if you were killed because of bad luck, an own mistake or a glitcher, thus ruining the experience.

Servers need to restart - loot respawn or not. Otherwise, performance would become too low.Nowadays people restart servers to make loot respawn, but remember that it is necessary. Agree with the synchronize daytime, I guess they will do it, now there is some difference between clients. Wheater is already fine, it's server dependent. The rest just no. And if I want to play during an evening and during the next morning I can't because I need to sleep (and thus log out)? I must wait the next evening? The second part, just no. Not every area of the world has what you call a good connection, and you can crash out of the game also for other reasons. And whatever, it's a game, it should be fun, not too damn complicated to play. When I want to, I connect. If you are against server hopping, as I am, wait for private hives and then choose one to play into. But nobody should be prevented to play because he logged out.

NEAF is apparently supposed to change. Many saw that in the new experimental version, that has been online for few moments yesterday evening. It looks like a civilian airport, you can look for the screenshots in the general discussion and in reddit. Anyway atm the experimental download isn't possible, so you cannot see it on your own, we'll have to wait until (hopefully only) monday, when the experimental servers will go up and we'll know if it is true or just an error.

Sandbox survival. Interaction with other players makes it special, because of the feelings and the risk that it creates. They are not going to prevent player interaction nor kill on sight or firefights or whatever. Nonetheless, if you were looking for a different kind of CoD you got the wrong game. You will not spawn with a carabine and plenty of ammo in your hands or at your feet - at least in the non modded version of the game. It is not a FPS, it is not a single player survival. It will be DayZ. Welcome to what you didn't know you were buying :)

As usual, just speculations and guesses, nothing confirmed. When asked, Hicks just replied "boom", wich might mean "something big", "you'll be surprised", "I don't want to tell you", "explosives", "whatever" and you can choose to guess what you prefer :) Anyway, the push was delayed from yesterday because they were working on something security related, so that's the only about to be sure thing, but it is not content.

0.45 is on stable since wednesday late afternoon (Europe). 0.46 is supposed to be released on experimental today, but they might not do it.

They have a 0.46.something ready, according to the infos we had in the past days. Nobody knows what is in it anyway, there are just many different guesses, some likely, some not. And the devs don't create patchnotes for the experimental branch (anymore, they used to at the beginning), and for sure not for a version still to come. Anyway, we can just hope that we'll discorre the news later on today :)

Should (key word) be pushed today, according to Hicks. It was supposed to be out yesterday, but they probably had more work than what they expected regarding the stable branch.

Apparently they also removed the "read the topic" and "read the news" functions from the internet with this patch!! I can't test now, but I hope that the rubberbanding you experienced was just like the occasional one that is also on stable and has nothing to do with the previous 0.45's one...

Didn't you? It was a good deal! Anyway, it seems to me that you should choose a server with low ping and not too full to wander about a bit without too much stress server side (that can cause you to lag) to check the game and learn some basics :) Read these forums also, on the news sections you can read about the updates! -
I'm a fan of night too, but the fact is that at the moment night is barely playable. Too many find ways to "gamma cheat", lights pass through all surfaces (including walls) and currently there are only few means of artificial light. And you can't sneak away from zombies. Give it time, probably in some months night will be worth to play.

Hicks than declared that they will push the update to experimental late on monday.
