Hey there so maybe this is more of a suggestion for a mod or modded private server then for the oficial devs but both would work i guess. Like stated in the title i thought it would be kind of cool to have seasons like in diablo with a last man standing aproach. Basicly the event would start at a certain time and everybody would gather in a lobby and spawn in simultaniously. After that no new players could enter and once you die your out. Everybody would spawn at a random location on the map a certain distance away from other people. Now i know there is a Deathmatch mod for "Arma 2 DayZ" and Arma 3 and although i never played them i guess a round wouldnt last too long. But this is more like a survival based aproach. People would need to be online for a certain time each day or they loose. Also there would need to be a few scripted events to gather players with a risk reward kind of theme (Im thinking Rustlike Airdrops). The biggest problem i see (overlooking realising the whole thing) is people not running into each other or hiding and the event gets too long (maybe there could be multiple winners if it has a set timeframe). I know that i didnt put alot of thoght into it but i just wanted to share the idea and see what people think about it. Where do you see problems? do you think it's a good idea? Is it perverting what DayZ is too much?

yeah i get this too it doesnt fit with the other zombie sounds and its so quite you barely hear it. It sounds like a player talking very quite i think it sounds a bit like someone is saying "hi" scary as fuck every time.

Well the harder zed thing is due to a bug where you cant hit them properly with melee weapons didn't see that they changed anything.

Well glladly the red chain is soon to be a thing of the past. also avoiding high pop servers defeats the purpose of the game somehow imo. I get your point though at this stage in development where all thats happening is pvp. Im positive though this will change in the future just played a bit of experimental with a few guys we were like 6 people and we shot a few zeds in berezino because the melee is so strange since last patch we were literaly swarmed by zeds there were like 15-20 no joking though not all at once couldve ended badly if i wouldve been alone. if they realy put the Zed number up 5-10 times till launch people probably would think twice before "having some pvp action" for no good reason.

Yeah thats nice and all but the servers didnt reset in like 8 hours and there is literaly nothing. Im all for less food and stuff but as a freshspawn without anything at all the only thing i could do was pick apples actualy i went from starving to yellow hungry in like 20 mins. the thing is what after that? theres nothing to do when you ant find anything. Went sleeping after that dont know what happened in the meantime.

yeah but wouldnt it be smarter to implement respawning items before doing that? because nobody is playing right now because you cant even find food properly. And i don't think it's the same to have a empty server running for a long time versus a server with people on it doing stuff right?

Lol you know what would be great? restarting the servers so people can actualy find and test things... Just an idea.

Yeah that maybe sucks but you can't blame that on the game.

Dayz would be so awesome if it actualy were like this... lets hope it will be in the future.

Well i was looking at a house i didnt even see the fire directly (but walls dont block light so i guess it doesnt matter) and like i said it was pitch black everywhere else and thats defenitly not normal (irl)

Probably this guy just placed his char there logged out and waited for the server restart then logged in to loot all the new spawned loot many people are doing that.
