    WTF... spawing

Novy is a spawn point, as of a couple patches ago, iirc. Obviously it doesn't work out very often, but it's happened to me and my group. Again, iirc, working as intended.
  2. @Champloo - I read that if a player were to shoot at the gas tank with a high-powered rifle, that the vehicle might explode

    The definitive VEHICLE SPAWNS thread

PBX and Small Boat both spawn near the entrance to the "Guba" cove in the far northeast corner of the map. Found both of them there today after reading vehicle spawns on the wiki

Poll: Do you play at night?

Night I used to only play during the day, or very bright nights, but this was before I understood how the lighting is attached to time. 4:00 AM - ~8:00 PM = Day ~8:00 PM - ~Midnight = Dark as f*** Midnight - 4:00 AM = Moon starts coming out, gets brighter until 4, when the sun comes out. Now I play on almost purely night-time servers, and the only time I look for new servers is when my framerate is low. I die significantly less at night, and I've trained my eye to see changes in lighting better than before, as well as use the horizon-line to see movement. It's scary to play at night because of zombies and the occasional NVG bandit, but for me... it's far scarier being exposed in the light.

    Heavy mist.

I want this... with all my heart. Especially now that we spawn with a flashlight instead of a gun. Please Rocket, do this.:heart::heart:

    More Zombies And Ideas

Dude... did you drop out in elementary school? I had a vision of a tiny child describing everything that went through his mind in the previous 60 seconds while reading this. I'm pretty sure traps have been suggested before, and that's the only idea I like... Holy crap.. /facepalm

No Vehicles on Servers: Heres the fix

You just invented Minecraft... GG No, vehicles are a rarity and are super rewarding for putting time and effort into finding and fixing them. To have that feeling be taken away from you because your wife demanded that you go visit her parents in the No-Wifi-Allowed zone for 2 days would royally piss people the hell off. (Example, I'm not even married o,0) I understand you want to find a vehicle. I, myself have only seen three in game. I've been playing this mod for like, a week and a half straight as if it were cocaine and I've had 2 vehicles drive past me, and I found a working Tractor the other night... yippee... Unfortunately, making that carrot-on-a-stick EASIER to obtain isn't the answer, because after you magically build yourself a bike out of rusty scraps of metal and two flat car tires within an hour after you spawn, you're gonna see 49 other people ringin' their frikken bicycle bells around Cherno, as well... and you're not gonna feel special for having a super-rare spawned item. Vehicles need to stay rare and unique for them to be something worthwhile, or else they're gonna end up being something EVERYONE has and it's still gonna suck.

    Packs of... gum...

Interesting idea, I doubt they'll add it soon, but it could be an option when the game's in later development.

    Things that bugg me out!

First of all, it's a mod.. and a mod that is in it's Alpha TESTING stage. You knew this before you bought Arma. Devs have every right to experiment and test how things work and do with the mod as they wish. Replying in order of complaints: 1 - It's a survival game, not a run-and-gun. The weapons are to make the game easier and to give players a reward for going into potentially-populated areas where they could get shot or eaten. He introduced the "hide" mechanic so that if you DO aggro zeds, you can lose them simply by running through a house with multiple entrances fairly easily. 2 - Answered above. 3 - Bugs are rampant, this is a known issue, and is being worked on. As far as I know, the coding for zeds was done completely from scratch, as I have no reason to believe there was any "zombie" files at all in Arma II, which explains fully why they can glitch through walls and do stupid things. 4 - It's a mod, I don't have information on it, but I'm skeptical that it's even possible for them to modify the interior of buildings. Generally, buildings with no interior are just a shell that you cannot pass through, and if you do, you end up falling through the world. This would mean that they have to redesign each and every one of these buildings with high chances of bugs for the same reason as answer 3. 5 - Bug, again.. in Alpha. Never seen this before, submit to bug forum or do a search there. 6 - Not that slow, but I hear you... This sounds like it has everything to do with how the current inventory system works, which I've heard Rocket say that he isn't happy with. I'm sure this will be changed. Things will be changed and modified.. all you can really do is play more and get more experience with the different aspects of the game. It gets easier with more time invested. -Peace

    Bring Bandit Skin back...

...as a clothing drop. At this point (considering bandit skin was removed shortly after the mod caught the OMGWTFDAYUM attention that it deserves) ~7/10 people have no idea what bandit skin looked like, or even what it stood for if they saw it. Also, if two players see each other and they aren't familiar with one-another. Someone's gonna shoot, and the other will either die or alt-f4 and switch servers. Either way, "repping bandit" will have ZERO effect on current pvp interactions and overall gameplay. On that note, I really love the way the bandit skin looked, and would love to see it re-implemented as an optional clothing drop. P.S. - Moar clothing in general, but I'm sure that's being looked at for future, post-alpha patches. (Edit: If nothing else, tell me about how you were gonna flame the flying **** out of me when you saw the title... lolz)

    Other Peoples flashlight

It's a bug. Not sure what causes it, or what fixes it, but it happens... and it fixes itself eventually.

    NVG's an GPS

My buddy found GPS in a deer stand, server ate it when our lookout got closer to the stand and caused a respawn. I found GPS in a deer stand a couple nights ago. Found the Night-vision FAL on a crashed heli last night, guy that found the first GPS found NVGs on a heli earlier tonight. We're some lucky mofos I guess.

    Weapon Dupe

Date/Time: (6-22-12 / ~10:00PM Mountain Time) What happened: Had Night-vision FAL equipped, Bizon and DMR in backpack. Buddy took DMR from backpack, replaced with his double-barrel. Opened backpack, switched primaries to double-barrel, dropped double-barrel on ground. Noticed that instead of Night-vision FAL & Bizon, I then had 2 Night-Vision FAL's in my backpack. Bizon was eaten/replaced with a duplicate of what's supposed to be an extremely rare weapon only salvageable from decently rare spawn points. Where you were: NW Airport, next to Firehouse on the NW wall. What you were doing: Dropping an unwanted weapon to clear space. *Current installed version: 1.7.1.5 *Server(s) you were on: UK 13 (Non-RPG, there's another UK 13 that is RPG) *Your system specs: Irrelevent, imo... not looking them up. *Timeline of events before/after error: Before stated above. After: No outstanding glitches or errors, no server downtime, all was normal. Continued looting airfield, downed a survivor that server-hopped into top level of Firehouse. (He DC'd after he fainted from initial shot.) Played game as per-usual.
