For the 6 updater, Just do it manually download the files as torrent so there is less load on the servers and install manually its super easy and faster then 6. 6launcher will also force the beta update even if it will not work on your system so be careful of that. For the message when joining a server thread is it saying the files have been deleted or you need to delete them? If it says they have been deleted you are not launching as combined operations. For steam version right click arma 2 OA launch combined operations. For retail go to your OA install folder and use the _runa2oa_beta.cmd with the 98325 beta installed. for steam beta easy way is to go to arma 2 OA folder then expansions/beta and copy the arma2OA.exe hit back 2 times to get back to a2oa folder paste the file and replace now when you start game in steam its the beta version. Get furmark, google it, The purpose of the program is to heat the card beyond what a game will do so you can test stability at extreme temps. Run it maxed out with extreme burn in but watch it the whole time make sure temps dont go above 80c try both dynamic camera and background settings. Watch for artifacts if you see any below 70c something is either wrong with your PSU or the card itself most likely. DO NOT ALLOW CARD TO GET ABOVE 80C FOR LONGER THEN 1 MIN!!!!!! Esc key ends test. 2 Things man. 1. Be CAREFUL with that cooler I had them on my 6870s and was going to get one for my 7970 but lots of people in reviews have had their card smoked by these coolers. Nearly smoked a 6870 but I saw the shims were to tall before I installed it. Had to cut them in half. 2. What OC settings are you using or are you? When you load in it tells you where you are at the bottom right you only need the 2nd line that is the city. If your at Kamenka Kamarovo Balota or air field put the water on your right and run till you see cranes, any other location (unless you ran north of Berezino) and you will find them no matter what direction you run as long as you follow the coast. Cranes mean big city which means grocery store which is where you will find a compass and map.
