    psychological effects of banditry

I do find bugs. I've lost a full kit from falling from a ladder and falling through the floor leaving Devil's Castle. As far as the "playing" things go, you do realize that we've payed for the alpha, right? Like, this isn't a free alpha. Keep up the namecalling though. It adds validity to your argument and makes you seem more intelligent.

Post editing after being replied? For real? Anyway, it's not hard at all to find plenty of supplies. If you're looking for supplies on the coast, then you're wasting time. The coast is like a giant noobtrap that is there so experienced players can harvest batteries.

Instead of namecalling, why don't you make a suggestion as to how I should be playing instead? I get the feeling you've never been off the coast.
  4. I voted no, because I don't think it will be necessary. You can die rather easily. With that said, I really don't care if there is a wipe. It doesn't take long to get geared out, and I don't even server hop.

    psychological effects of banditry

I hate CoD. I prefer objective based games. My DayZ is about controlling supplies. I have plenty, and I deny everyone else. It's entertaining. Your reading ability seems to be lacking though. I never once complained about the guy trying to stab my friend. In fact, we had a good laugh after we shot him. It's part of the game. Why don't you tell me how I should play? I'll list my loadout, and you suggest what I do with it. Everything is pristine. M4- MP Handguard/Stock, ACOG, 60rd mag, Bipod, Silencer (It looks nice.) 3 ammo cans full of 556 and 4 other 60rd mags with ammo TTSKO shirt/pants UK Assault Vest DPM Jungle Boots Kevlar Helm Mask/shades Medkit Stack of rags A few pairs of handcuffs Food and Water supplies to last an eternity Why don't you tell me how I should be playing with that? I mean, the running around ahead of groups, looting, and dumping the stuff in the middle of nowhere is entertaining, but it's not nearly as visceral as shooting them.

    Geared players on the coast

What else are you going to do once you're fully geared up?

Me too, but I hope I see you first. Defense from the intentions of others. Case in point, I had died from falling from a ladder (YAY!), and I rallied with my friend at Balota out of convenience. I was trying to swap pants in a tent, when suddenly I'm bleeding and before I could react I was dead. I was on voice with my friend and he went to check it out. Right before he shot the guy that was still picking my corpse clean, the guy said, "Hey bro! Not cool." Keep in mind this was the same guy that just axed me in the head. I learned many lessons from that experience. My friend and I were once at the tower in Balota camping people looting the airfield. We saw 4 bambis running for us yelling, "Friendlies!". We shot at them, of course, because trust. One of them got away. Less than 5 minutes later, the one that got away was trying to stab my friend in the back with a screwdriver. The moral of the story is that everyone is a threat. If they're not a threat now, then they will be eventually. I was once on a tower in Gorka and saw two people moving past. They obviously didn't notice me, and they were moving away from where my friend and I were headed so I let them go. I regret it everyday.

What are your thoughts on camping snipers at Balota?

Balota, teaching you to be careful and move north in one swoop. The only reason to go to Balota is to kill the people that haven't learned to move off the coast.

Carrying both an m4 and mosin

I believe this is intended. My recommendation is to lose the m4 and stick to the mosin with a 45, if the mosin style is what you like.

So I'm scavenging for food, water etc. I'm just trying to survive. What are you doing scavenging in MY area? Why are you here? You're stealing from me! I must defend myself! I'm honestly so decked out at this point, that I go on loot runs just to take good items and dump them in the middle of a field or in a bush in the woods to keep them out of the hands of others. I go so far as to steal the optics from every m4 I find and leave it lying in the middle of the woods. Remember, the bullet you leave behind will be the one that kills you.
  11. They're actually helping new players learn to avoid other people and be less obvious about their movements. Let's face it, once you get some gear, which doesn't take long, all you have left to do is create fun. Some people do this by hunting batteries, while others take gaslamps and create bright kill zones.

    Lost it all!

What did you have after 20hrs of play? The guy I've been playing has maybe 6hrs of playtime on him, and he has a fully upgraded m4, 4 60rd mags, 3 ammo boxes full of ammo, a few sets of cuffs, and more food/water than I'll ever need. I'm at the point now where I loot just to hide stuff in the woods, because I don't need any of it. Remember, the bullet you leave behind will be the one that kills you. With all that said, I had that character kitted up in less than 2hrs. I just beelined it up north, instead of hanging around the deathtrap that is the coast.
