Whoa there, fella. There's a lot in the north worth looking for. In fact, Balota is a pretty horrible place to get gear/supplies. "server hopping is still 'needed' to honestly survive" Really? Really? How do you figure. I've been playing on the same server for a while now, without hopping, and have a ridiculous kit. I haven't had to hop for anything, and I haven't had any rubberbanding problems or resets. Food is really plentiful when you leave spawn. Finally, hurr durr, people. Leave Balota and explore the map. -
There is already a solution in place for this problem. The game provided you a free teleport to the spawn point, and even cleared out your inventory. It's working as intended. Like others have said, your suggestion is a server hopper's wet dream.

Based on the fact that you shut all the doors, he probably pegged you for a server jumper. Honestly, the whole story sounds fabricated.

Simply adding more of them makes them a much bigger threat. You either try to melee them all to death, or shoot them. Shooting them draws more attention from zombies and other players.

As I said in the other thread, also on the first page... Mirrors to look around corners? If only there was a way to do this already.... It sounds a lot like first person only remorse. I'd like to see this, in case I decided to ever play on a first person only server, but, based on the fact that it only benefits that portion of the community, there are about a million other things that should be added or fixed first. -
I never played the mod, but I just have to ask a question. If the zombies are going to be sparse and meaningless, then why invest development time into them when they could just be dumped completely? I agree with you on the concept of killing other players. I'm all for it. I do feel the idea of dealing with zombies as well makes it a much better game.

Melee weapons are silent. As far as balance goes, it makes far more sense to allow people to carry two rifles at the expense of carrying a good melee weapon. The noise of the shots should bring plenty of zombies once they fix the ai and increase the number of zeds.

Pro-tip: If you're searching for specific items, then leave the coast. The loot is better and more common up north. The coast is a noob trap. If you don't like people camping Balota, then just don't go there. There are a lot of other places that are FAR better for gear. -

Yeah, you can find them all over. Long range scope isn't even an exclusively military spawn. You can find them in houses. -
Wait... does that work? If that really works I can finally stop hiding food in the woods. I've tried putting cleaner in water bottles, with the intent of leaving them available in coastal towns, but it doesn't work. I don't think there are that many creative ways to kill people right now.

Shhhh, are you aware of how many people don't know that there's more to the map than the coastal cities? I'm torn on the issue. On one hand I don't want to share my fantastic loots, but I also would appreciate not having to go back to the coast to find people to kill. It really is a problem. -
I'm so proud. Remember, the only player that isn't a threat is the one you just sent back to spawn. You know what freaks me out? The outer door to a barracks is closed, and all the interior doors are open except one.

While this may be true, SweetFX does not appear to be banned by VAC. http://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/9/828935672748584541/ Everything I found on the subject makes it sound like it's not bannable. With that said, I have too much invested in steam to ever risk a VAC ban.

Agreed, but before adding more civilian weaponry, it would be nice if they modified the values of what is already in. All the melee weapons, save for the axes, could use some work. -
Starting on the NE coast is pretty awesome. The towns there have better loot than the southern coast, and you're pretty close to the NE airfield (which is a complete deathtrap if anyone is there). Then you can follow the northern railway west, or find a compass. I found 5 compasses in Guba once. The only shame in having to start over again is that you weren't killed. Starting fresh isn't bad once you know what you're doing.

They could be killed, but there would be consequences from the UCMJ. There's no UCMJ in Chernarus. The rules of engagement say KOS. -
This pretty much sums it up. There's no point in adding more zombies until the AI is fixed. I'm of the opinion that once zombie AI is improved, a lot of other situations can be solved as well. When zombie AI is fixed, you can have large hordes of zombies. Too many players camping in one area of the map and a lot of noise? AI brings in the hordes on that location. It will solve a lot of problems.

I believe they're trying to expand the map. When they add cars, the map will shrink, but not as much as we might think. Cars can't beeline up hills or through the woods. Fuel could be a very real problem, as well. -
How do you try to help someone that would gladly axe you in the face after you try and help them? You provide them free bullet implantation.

ITT: People saying, "No, because people can die easily anyway." and people saying, "It's alpha. Get used to it! Derp, derp, haven't read the thread." I'm waiting on someone to post saying they can't handle losing their stuff, so that the "It's alpha." crowd doesn't seem so out of touch.
