Ive encountered this a few times and all I can do is alt-F4 It happens to me when Im running long distances with my fists up. Running with your fists up makes you run faster and I think the game glitches out from it somehow, because when Im aware of it and stop every so often or don't run with my fists up, it stops happening.

First getting healthy is easy, just make sure you eat like 2 cans of beans and a box of cereal before getting full on water. If your still not healthy then run around for 5 min and eat until full. You should definitely be healthy by now. Second the hunger/thirst, energy/blood system is the most creative, intuitive, realistic, and fun system I've ever used, and I hope it only gets more complex! -
Using gear deterioration to stop server hopping

There is so many other reasons to quit a server then hop on another more than 3 times a day. I play DayZ for 8plus hours in a day and I will have to quit multiple times throughout for various reasons, like walk the dog, or make some food. All things that you need to log out from, and not every time I get back into the same server. Plus they reset every 4hrs usually and 80% of the time I cant just hit "play" and hop into the same server. I'm sorry but this idea wouldn't be fair. -

If it happens again, don't move or do anything,just log out and log back in. Worked for me!

Not that it would be "fixing" anything, because I don't see anything wrong with KOS'ing as long as the person is armed. But I would love to see the Zombies not only increase in numbers but become extremely deadly. Animations would need redoing for sure. Any reason to team up is good. We need more things to do, this early on all people have to do is KOS.

I agree that seeing the sunset sometimes would be nice. Or starting 10 to 60 min before sunrise. I think people that turn up the gamma shouldn't play DayZ because they obviously don't get it. Nighttime is ruined for me as well, which is sad, because the nighttime in DayZ is extremely realistic IMO! At least take away the gamma option in game. It doesn't matter what the dev's do really, people will just adjust the gamma elsewhere.

Your probably sick from being scratched by a zombie. Use Alcohol tincture to clean your wounds, or take some antibiotics. It will say your sick while there working, but you will get messages saying "your wounds seem to be cleaner" until you get the last message that says "your wounds are now clean" Eat 2 cans of beans and fill up on water and you'll be healthy in no time. :)

Weapons definitely do have the same level of conditions as items. I've done alot of testing and one M4 will be horribly inaccurate while another is spot on. Unfortunately like you said, you cant see the weapons condition, which honestly I kinda like since IRL you would always test out you weapon before using it in any kind of combat. But that me, Im sure it will be fixed soon.

Didn't read...sorry. I don't want ANY story. I want to make it ALL up in my head. All there needs is a small back story and that's IT. Just my opinion though, some may love a story. -
Weapons have conditions just like items. Some weapons are ruined, badly damaged, damaged, worn, and pristine. As of now, the ability to see the weapons condition is broken. Test your weapon before using it in combat. I kind of like that you cant see the condition. IRL I would have to test it before using it in combat. If you have all pristine attachments and it's still inaccurate, then you have a ruined, to damaged weapon.

This is ridiculous! All I hear from the OP and the people that agree with him is Bitch, cry, moan because there graphics don't look good anymore because they don't know how to play the game. First off all, having the color fade is NOT lazy it's creative and realistic. Having a health bar is stupid, lazy, and the same as every other game. Second, I never have my color faded for more than 30 min at the most. All you need to do is find water, eat plenty before filling on water. You might need antibiotics or alcohol tincture to clean your wounds to help get you to "healthy" status which triggers blood regeneration. This game is not like any other game. You need to think about things differently from other games. This isn't broken and doesn't need to be fixed. You just need a better understanding of the games mechanics. Watch these videos that were posted earlier: If blurriness and saturation last for more than a few minutes at a time, you are indeed playing the game wrong. Video Guide on Eating, Drinking and Regeneration by Merino Video Guide on Health and healing status by Merino If your screen is blurry and colorful, your blood has returned, but you are still badly damaged. Your health is still really low. In order to regenerate health you need to be well hydrated and well fed, and stay that way. You should eat everything you find (don't save it for later) and drink to full stomach as often as you can. You don't fully understand how healing and blood regeneration relate to hunger and thirst. Watch these videos.If you eat and drink regularly you will get the healthy status (shown in your inventory). While healthy and well fed and hydrated, you can recover your saturation and sharpness in just a few minutes, and be ready to fight or defend yourself right away. Never worry about blur or grayness again. Watch those guides, you wont regret it. -

I am all for as much realism and immersion as possible in DayZ. I myself use the in game map ONLY. I'm all for FPP servers. I even hate the fact that you can just stick a weapon to your back without finding a strap or something to hold it first. We should be forced to stick to one weapon (unless its a sidearm like a pistol that fits in your pocket) and have to keep it in your hands until we find a strap first. Maybe we could fashion something out of a rope that works but your weapon falls off every now and then. Anyways, getting side tracked here. As for TS, I use it with my clan because it would be near impossible to find 6 other people without some form of outside communication. I would prefer it if the hand radios worked so if someone else finds one and switches to your frequency, they would be able to listen in and try to find your position. I've always thought the in game voice chat should be mandatory somehow so you could hear groups talking and sneak up on them, but that's not going to happen for obvious reasons. Thers just now way that I'm going to not play with friends because it's not realistic. I love playing lone wolf and using VOIP, but to play with a group, it's next to impossible to do without an outside form of communication. How do you play with your friends? I would love to know how you meet up with your buddies while keeping it withing the games limits. -
I myself don't want ANY icons in my view. I dislike HUD's and turn them of when I have the option.. I would want them in the inventory screen along the side or bottom. Or for us to have some sort of a "status" menu that display's detailed info about your condition. As for the always being thirsty that people keep saying. You need to drink until your stomach is full, eat some food before you fill your stomach up on water. Food like rice and cereal soak up water and foods like beans and spaghetti give you some water. As for the compass...no need to have one on screen, it doesn't make sense to just have one. The compass is great because they have conditions, that right now don't seem to effect them but in the future I hope that broken compasses are shattered like the scopes are and the damaged once give you the wrong direction. I suppose you would like to have a map at the press of a key as well huh?

There is nothing wrong with 3PP. There IS something wrong with 3PP in a simulator that takes so much in to account in terms of realism. It does not make sense to see over walls and around corners, that is like a superpower. Hell, I hate the fact that we don't have to find a weapon strap before we can hold 2 weapons. IF YOU DONT LIKE 3PP DONT PLAY ON 3PP SERVERS....simple!

While I agree with the video 100% I don't see how this is an issue anymore now that there are 1st person only servers now? If you don't like 3rd person than don't play on a 3rd person server, simple as that! Can someone please explain the problem to me? This thread was started after 1st person servers started, so why is it a problem for the others that like to play that way? We have (I prefer FPP only myself) servers that cater to 1st person only so the issue is resolved for us. But if the problem is that your just upset that others use it, and that there's a 3rd person server at ll, then you have issues. Play on the servers that have the perspective you prefer, simple as that!

YES, if you log out in game your character should stay in game for 20 to 60 sec before disappearing from the server. That way if your not in a safe place you may get killed, and if you combat log then you WILL die from the person after you because your character will just sit there for a minute completely vulnerable to attacks. I feel this will help stop CL by quite a bit. -
If it doesnt fire it is ruined. Test EVERY weapon you find. Once the weapons conditions are visable then we will beable to tell. Thats why some guns shoot more accurate than others. I hope this gets fixed soon, but until then, always test your weapons before entering conflict.

Just do the rebinding on you mouses side via it's software. Change the RMB to w in the mouse software, not the in game menus. -
I choose all of them because it really all depends on my mood and my character. This game is to amazing to stick to one way of playing. I role play this game in lots of different ways, so yeah...all of the above.
