DayZ to someone that doesn't RP and or realize how to survive properly. Run around in the open, get shot. Re-spawn, run around, find a gun, get excited to shoot some zombies?...get sniped while making all sorts of noise with said gun. Re-spawn, run some more, see another player, walk up to say hi and see if they wa....BAM!, dead again. Rage quit then immediately come on the forums to bitch about how this game is broken, when they have no idea how to actually play it. People KOS because they can see you. Stay crouched and off the beaten path while in Elecro, Berezino, and Cherno. Or anywhere for that matter. Expect to engage in combat when venturing inside military locations. Play in first person servers so people dont see you when you behind shit. (personal preference) Do not trust anyone. This is SURVIVAL, not happy fun time.

Just un-fav the same way you faved it. Write down the name of your server and always join that one. People have to actually stick to there servers now Not nearly as much server hopping now because of it. The "Play" option needs to be fixed, so we can just hit play and be back in the same server. Until then just favorite it and write it down.

Definitly not as abundent post patch especially since the tent spawns are currently broken. ATC towers, barracks,and bunkers. Thats about it. Even though the tents dont spawn at the moment, the two story camo huts that are next to the back entrance of NW still spawn them.

Piano buildings. Red brick building with blue stripe around the middle, sitting on the top of the stairs. Two story buildings that your footsteps echo in, all the way on the top floor. Cars (currently car spawns are broken) TEC buildings. Schools. Players! All which now have a chance to spawn shotguns!

If I hear anything thats out of the ordinary when it comes to weird zombie sounds, I just blame it on those damn rabbits!

There is ALWAYS day servers to choose from. Before the update the MGPS servers are all daytime. MGPS servers also have a lowercase z "Dayz" while all others have an uppercase "DayZ" Post patch you can just look at the time!

Just write down the server that your using and STAY in it. I love this! This is cutting down combat logging and server hopping by a HUGE amount! before about 95% of people that I engage in CL. Now about 5% of them do! I laugh because alot of people don't know how to get fully geared without SH and CL. The only thing thats broken is the "play" option from the main menu. It doesnt bring you to the last server you played on like it's supposed to. So unless you write the name of your server down, it's kinda hard to find it again. Once thats fixed then theres no issue, IMO.

C'mon people! nighttime is supposed to be dark Have you been in the middle of the wilderness or a city with no power in the middle of the night? It is pitch black other than moonlight, which is only out on certain nights. The nights in Dayz do have moonlight. All you have to do if it's to dark for you is turn up your brightness to about 80 to 90% but leave the gamma where it's supposed to be. I leave my gamma at about 25% and my brightness at 40% during the day and about 80% at night depending on the moon. If there is a bright full moon in the sky than it usually has some moonlight, but if it's not enough than I turn the brightness up slowly until it looks good. Obviously nights need some tweaking but IMO the only thing that needs serious changing is the lack of color at night. But I feel its more than playable when you do some tweaking with the brightness....not the gamma! So until we get this: (was edited in PS by someone here:http://imgur.com/gallery/zFxih) We should just enjoy what we have, which IMO is almost perfect! other than the lack of color...but to honest there is not much visible color at night IRL. Granted it is more color than the almost all B&W nights in DayZ. DayZ is all about being authentic. Even if it pisses people off.

Damn!...Im running a GTX680m and am getting 15fps in cites and 20 to 25 everywhere else. These are my EXACT specs if anyone's interested (except I upgraded to 16gb of memory): http://www.cnet.com/laptops/msi-gt60-0ne-220us/4507-3121_7-35406334.html I feel I should be getting a steady 30fps at least, with drops around the low 20's in cites, without turning everything off or to the lowest possible setting. I know this game is a hungry beast at the moment, but a 4GB 680 should enough to not drop below 10fps regularly. Night time is dark. The darkness is fine just the way it is.

They are useless! Only have 3 slots and you cant wear anything over it. The worst part is you cant see behind you because of the huge hood. Unless you play on 3PP then that would not effect you. Once the "new" factor runs out you'll be switching that POS out with a tac shirt in no time!

IMO, the OP is right, and friendly servers are NOT what dayz is about. It's like wanting to be friendly a CoD death match. It just doesn't fit the lore, or game's feel and presence. Because until more is implemented, it is basically a CoD death match.

2 reasons why bodies disappear after 10 min. 1st and most important reason is performance. Cleaning up bodies more frequently helps the servers run smoother. 2nd, it's called permadeath! You are not supposed to get your shit back....period!

Been playing the Standalone for about 2 1/2 weeks now and it's one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had and cant wait for more to be added. Today I just bought the Humble Bundle for 6$ and been playing Epoch and absolutely loving it!! Its so much fun with everything there is to do. Other than the clunky inventory system it's very much the same, just a little less pretty. I highly recommend it to anyone thats enjoying the Standalone and never got into the mod.

I don't know about that? Getting healthy is easy. Just make sure you eat quite a bit before filling up on water. Or fill up on water, then run around for 5min, then eat until healthy. These work for me every time!
