Man, what is with this misconception that when vehicles come into DayZ that no one will have to run around anymore? If anything we will be running around more trying to find a car, then running around trying to find the right parts to fix it. Then you realize someone else beat you to it and your back to square one. Vehicles will rarely is ever spawn functional, we will need to fix them up first, and there wont be one for every player. I just hope we will have to ability to pop it into neutral and hide it under a tree or just out of the open if possible.

That sounds like a hassle, and I for one would tell my clan mate to get over it and start again. But if they want to go through all that bullshit, then let 'em? I think the idea is great and will totally cut back on if not almost get rid of players re-claiming they're stuff.

FOV, Head Bob, and Gamma should all be accessible during the main menu only. Or have a launcher before the game starts for these settings, so you would have to restart DayZ completely to change them.

I like the idea of having to maintain them with duct tape. Maybe these weapons can never be "pristine" but start "worn" and work there way down to "ruined". Once "ruined" they can't be repaired so you have to make sure you add duct tape once it becomes "badly damaged" to keep them in working condition. Ever since shotguns have arrived, every time I saw one of the barrels off I think to myself "man what a perfectly good piece metal" The left over barrel could be used as a pipe bomb if mixed with gas and some sort of shrapnel, like screws and nuts, or metal bits of some kind. It would be a deadly bomb but extremely rare since they would only be available make one if someone else makes a sawed off and you happen to find it. It might be to rare? I guess it would be a double pipe bomb?

Because it was the easiest way of doing it. Do you remember San Andreas? Why does every sandbox need to be an island? It is in Russia, not an island. I disagree with your idea, it happens. Doesn't mean it's a bad idea. Glad you deleted the "world is a giant island" remark. I was about to call you out on that one. :)

How it works? I shouldn't have used the word "reserved" I mean there is future plans to expand the map, so they wouldn't make it an island because of that.

It probably was a combo of the guy with the M4 being a horrible shot in the heat of battle and the sniper being healthy with all pristine clothes on. I have taken the same amount of shots before, I died, but it took a minute for me to go down.

Why does every sandbox need to be an island? Un-climbable mountains work just fine. I just dont think they will do that since it's supposed to be Russia, which is not an island. This game is all about authenticity.

IMO, there is nothing wrong with 3PP, it's in alot of great games. I just don't think it belongs in a game that strives on being authentic, where immersion and realism are key points of the gameplay. I myself don't use it in DayZ, I actually despise it, but I realize it's not going anywhere. I think the invisible walls for the camera would be a great fix. I know this has been suggested before but I drew a horribly done picture in paint that sort of shows what I mean. Camera can not go past the purple lines. This of course would work on any side or top of any wall.

As long as it makes sense. Military weapons cant spawn anywhere but military locations. Or else it just wouldn't be authentic.

Maybe new users would be required to use the search function on they're first 10 posts. So the first 10 time they want to make a post, when they click "start a new topic" they are immediately brought to the search menu.

If zombies were to have any weapon, it should be just a pistol and they would have to have zero accuracy. Like they see you and just stick there arm out or up or even down and just start shooting. They would only have 6 to 14 rounds (sorry don't know the max mag size) and you would most likely not get hit, and if you did you would just bleed a little, lol! Maybe 1/50 chances they get a head shot on you or something. I'm not sure how I feel about this to be honest.
