Thats most likely BS! If you have never died in the SA then your a fucking liar! Everyone has died from a glitch or some shit from the bugs that the Alpha has. If your actually engaging people and trying to find combat, then you will die somewhat often. But if you just hide up north and keep to yourself you can live forever. IMO you sound like one of those 3PP playing, gamma upping, exploit finding turds that I love to hunt down daily!

WOW while you guys bitch at eachother, let me repost what you have pushed back with your douchbaggary. The bottom line is 3PP is a way to play DayZ, and it's not going anywhere. I may not agree with DayZ being a 3PP game, but I have to except it. You just have to look at it from the right perspective! At least we have "Hardcore" servers. It's just to bad theres 10 times as many people playing on "regular" servers than "hardcore" But that only shows just how many more people play DayZ with 3PP. Which is crazy to me because IMO anyone that plays in 3PP is not getting the true DayZ experience. I don't care what anyone says but that statement is true. By using 3PP you are taking away from what makes DayZ so special, so much tension and realism is just gone! IMO it's just lame to be able to stand next to a wall and fell comfortable knowing whats on the other side. When you walk up against a wall, you should have the feeling of "what if someone is behind it waiting for me"? Or when walking up the stairs in the jail cell, you shouldn't be able to clearly see whats upstairs before being in any danger. You should have to be slow and quiet and listen for any footsteps andif you can see any shadows, but on a 3PP server you can just stand halfway up the stairs and see everything thats up there. It just takes away so much tension that FPP brings to the game. It's still a good game in 3PP, but 3PP is a crutch, a tool that gives you a super human ability to look over and around things that your character should not be able to see. Now if the game was coded better and the 3PP camera couldn't just go through walls then the problem wouldn't be as bad. But the way you can stand next to a wall with a window and make it so the camera goes out the window letting you see everything thats coming is lame IMO. 3PP makes you fell way safer than you should. I think alot of people that get upset over 3PP get upset because they know what everyone else is missing, which is a true survival experience. You just miss out on so much when you use 3PP. What I mean by "so much" is a more genuine survival experience, the tension, the what if? that FPP brings to DayZ. Of course the exploiting is another reason, but I just feel bad for people that feel like they need to use 3PP, and I don't want to hear, "FPP makes my eyes hurt" That just a BS excuse, so many games are FPP only and I never hear that shit in any other game. You can turn the headbob and rotation blur off ya know! DayZ strives on being as realistic and authentic as possible, 3PP takes so much of that away. IMO DayZ should be a FPP only game. It just makes sense in a game like this. But....unfortunately 3PP is a part of DayZ and is NOT going anywhere. I just hope they can fix the camera issue so that it can not go high enough to see over walls. Or when your at a corner, the camera wont be able to turn to see around it. There are solution's to the 3PP exploits. It's just those solution's are not a priority for the devs right now. I just hope they get addressed someday soon. In the mean time we just need to be patient and play on the servers that we enjoy. -

We Need higher restart rate on test servers

I think all servers should restart every 6 hours. 4 times a day seems like a good number. As for the test servers, I agree they should be faster. Maybe twice as fast, a restart every 2 hours or so sounds reasonable. -
If it was in the Standalone I would do the same thing I do in the MOD....go to the options and turn it off. But, since it was a part of the original I feel it should still be in the Standalone, but turned off by default to portray the realism that the Standalone is doing so well.

Love this idea! I like what the OP was saying, having slot specific clothing. Like the vest can only carry 8 1x1 items, while a pair of cargo pants can fit 4 1x1's,front and back pockets, and 2 1x2's for the cargo pockets. Checkered shirts can only carry 2, 1x1's. Leg holsters and a belt option for holding pistols in you belt. This would be alot tougher to manage, but IMO way more realistic and would be alot of fun. But honestly the way it is now is pretty good and definitely a foot in the right direction.

Happened to me right away after stuffing myself with water. I think the "stuffed" message is broken. Once you get "stuffed" it never goes away. But that falling to my knees going from hungry all the way to starvation all in the matter of 3 seconds, only happened once and thats was it. At least for me anyways. -

This may have been said, didn't read every post. I think the mouse movement speed should be directly tied to your stamina. Obviously something that wont get implemented until the stamina system arrives. The more you weigh and the more your carrying the slower it moves. If you make the trade off of traveling light and not carrying heavy things or having your backpack stuffed with loot, then the mouse speed will increase. I feel this is the most realistic and logical solution for this type of game. -

Well if there just infected and not zombies I could see them having some small piece of what or who they once were, kinda like some of the "zombies" in The Last of US. I think it should vary between zombies. Some being farther along in the zombifacation process. One Zed may stop at the ladder and forget what it was doing, another could just attack the ladder over and over again, while another smarter type might actually start climbing the ladder. It may fall off in mid climb forgetting what it was doing half way up, or just stop somewhere on the ladder and stay there for awhile before going back down. Then on a rare occasion, a Zed might actually reach the top and pursue you when it reaches the top of the ladder. There are so many way to look at this. -
I've been thinking this as well! I would also like it if you automatically switched to whatevers in your chest holster when you dont have any ammo left for your primary. Also would like to be able to aim a pistol with Alt held down in the direction Im looking while running strait. Horribly inaccurate of course but would be really fun! Same would work on ladders!

I was thinking if you have a weapon in the chest holster than once your primary runs dry and you dont have any backup you automatically pullout your sidearm thats in your chest holster. Really all that needs to be done is have the weapon switching be faster and more fluid so we can just switch fast with the hotkeys.
