Sorry but no. I had to run at some point for over 15 minutes without finding anything. Sprinting in this game is a must. Not everyone can afford to walk for 60 minutes, first boredom, then second time wasted. There's a lot of wasteland that you cannot afford to walk it off, you gotta sprint. Not sure if you're aware but sprinting lasts a minor few seconds before you lose your breath and your sprint speed becomes near a regular run speed. So sprinting (I think you can only sprint for around 10-15 seconds even if your character is in the sprint animation) would increase hunger 3x as quickly while regular running should increase hunger 2x.

I like this a lot but perhaps to cut down on work for Rocket we might able to simplify this; Hunger and Thirst decrease faster depending on if the character is; > Sprinting > Holding his breath > Running > Swimming These would have a fixed penalty, your thirst and hunger decreases 2x faster when performing any of these actions. Blood loss already happens on this one however being disabled from running would mean you wouldn't even be able to find new supplies to top you up (if you're so desperate). If you're blinking it means your now in survival instinct mode and your doing whatever you can to live before your body gives out on you. I'm tempted to make a table with current existing food and water with some of the ideas of my own and stick it up on here. I would say cans of soda would regenerate thirst by 20% and hunger by 5% (because of sugars). Water would regenerate thirst by 80% and be the best drink in the game.

Wasn't digging at all, now you've suggested something I can actually comment; the hospitals in ArmA are 1 story and you have to break the windows to get in, zombies could spawn inside but this wouldn't make the game more scary for me (the hospitals are only accessable into their lobby areas). Hopefully Rocket will make the countryside a little more active with zombies, I'd like to see more of them roaming the woods and such to make travelling more risky and a little more interesting then auto-running. Bonus at night time would be nice, a bit like Dead Rising; graphically their eyes glow red and stuff, could be thrilling.

It didn't give him side missions for rewards, it gave him co-ordinates for Deer Stands which can easily be looked up online. The OP is talking about making missions and materializing items. Two VERY different things.

Seriously what purpose would this train serve? You want a vehicle to ferry people up and down the shore line that can easily be obstructed with wire fencing and causing it to break down? Why would anyone bother to assemble the parts for this if it can break so easily and in the first place why wouldn't people use the safer method of travel using their legs to run opposed to a moving, large, obvious target.... Tanks are officially in DayZ, they are INCREDIBLY rare and their components are some of the rarest to find on the map (barrel, tracks etc). All vehicles despawn upon a server restart (every 4-6 hours).

Never experienced that problem before, people I've shot have died almost instanteously. Could be ping problems?

I would love to see the introduction of more civilian orientated vehicles, however they should still be nearly as rare as the military ones. The civilian vehicles should be squisher, louder and drain fuel much faster than a militarized vehicle.

Totally disagree, we do not need automated game mechanic DMZs, if you want a DMZ, join a server, find friends, gain trust and set your own one up. Rocket will not spoon-feed you content like this :)

I don't understand, there are many, many enterable buildings you can enter on the island and you are more than welcome to say "Hey guys, from now on we can call this home". I'm not sure if your trolling or not but this is more spoon-fed content we don't need, if your being chased by zombies,survivors - pick a building and reinforce it as players; not mechanics.

I don't want to see any kind of automated "application" system to join factions or have the developers create factions. I want to see player-made, roaming factions that have to find and distribute their own uniforms. I want to see factions create their own alliances and handle their own diplomacy and not have it hard-coded. No one wants the game TELLING you what to do but I still see suggestions that demand spoon-fed content like this go up every.day.

You spawn with a Makarov because its a weak hand gun, its low caliber, quite quiet but its never designed to take on full, military-grade armed survivors. The makarov is simply a means of light self defense, the magazines in it are precious until you find more or find a primary weapon. TL;DR The Makarov is given to you so you can survive and find better equipment by killing zombies in towns. Don't try and take on fully armed players with it.

Shogun: Total War was awesome, Shogun: Total War 2 was awesome, the expansions and DLC add content to the game which is awesome (ArmaA has done it with PMC and BAF packs, they don't add anything truly core into the game except more toys and skins to play with but its fun). Looks like that article is a load of shit. -
Any chance of motion sensors being introduced to set up more secure perimeters? Would send a beeping sound and a notification to the player that has been activated. Could be as rare as the other electronics in the game.
