Do you play DayZ with your kids?
Alex (DayZ) replied to Travst's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I suggest you stop playing with your hatchet wielding son before you begin hating each other in the household, you never know, you might accidently call him a retard or adopted or something. -
Why nobody will be buying Day Z standalone
Alex (DayZ) replied to Revilo's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
You know this game being developed by Rocket and part of BI, your basically going to be buying ArmA for a second time... To play the mod you all bought the original ArmA II to actually play the DayZ mod right? Blind fanbois are blind. -
DayZ Development Blog #1: The end of the beginning
Alex (DayZ) replied to ripbabyg@hotmail.co.uk's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
Rocket makes mod to boost ArmA sales, customers fall for it. Makes standalone game, wants you to pay for it too. HERPADERPADERP DERPDERP Some people have more money than brains. Not like they made a few million off ArmA 2 package sales alone for a mod that was more of an idea than a game. -
Dayz then... and dayz now..
Alex (DayZ) replied to HamTheBacon's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'm glad I got to experience this game when it was good back in May, its a wasteland of shit now. -
Keeping it for the opportunity to kill someone is just as bad. Get real kid.

Theres nothing impressive about hacks, kid. You also had the nerve to use and keep the equipment given to you.

A good mod destroyed by an exploitive community.

Surely underground structures are a mistake.
Alex (DayZ) replied to scaramoosh's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Need a nice new engine for this game. -
Use flares, chemlights and torches to navigate at night.. Like, what they were put in there for? Sure you give your position away but everyone has to use one to navigate unless they have NVG's.

An open letter to the silent majority
Alex (DayZ) replied to Satire (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I usually whine and complain and create negative posts towards suggestions that are totally out of tune with the mod's nature. Unfortunately such "harrasment" leads me to get punished by moderators so I kinda culled down on it. If Rocket ends up and may even have to end up listening to the casuals who wish to dilute the game down into another boring, spoonfed piece of content like the majority of game developers out there then I guess thats just the direction the mod will have to take in time. -
While WAR is incredibly fun and I know Pandemic Legion seem to think EVE = DayZ it doesn't have the mechanics in place to actually feel thrilling. To be honest the war is a sham; PL are bandits, they shoot everyone anyway and shooting Legion besides shooting everyone else in the process isn't an actual war - its just them playing their role like usual but decided they wanted some forum press for their efforts. I'm talking actual events that all the players can be involved in and has a straight edge purpose.

Rocket/missle attack in cherno?
Alex (DayZ) replied to Puppy (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Your camera angle is aligned to two chimneys, that makes it looks like you have a leaf sight, well played. -
Rocket/missle attack in cherno?
Alex (DayZ) replied to Puppy (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Does it have anything to do with the rocket launcher in your hand? First Forum post, character looks pretty young at -3200 Humanity, somehow has rocket launcher and a few rockets. Suspicious. -
The Dev team shouldn't have to be involved or take time out to organise the events team; its simply a case of electing a leader and building the team. Then the team decides its structures' date=' its rules. The team contributes ideas to build events and then they work together to execute them. The events team would be built to AVOID exactly this, I personally wouldn't want to see AI scripted missions in a sandbox like this - the game shouldn't have to tell people where to go or what to do it should all remain in the players hands. The events team will be ran and maintained by players to help enforce this. Keep up the discussion guys, a lot of established MMORPG's create event teams and this bordering close to the atmosphere shouldn't play fool to the exception.
